After completing the handover procedures, Clayton Armstrong looked at Peter Brown and the others and said, "Alright, now for the assignments. This time, we have thirty official disciples who are all at the Immortal Realm in cultivation. I now appoint Dawn White, James Brown, and Aaron Taylor as heads. Each of you will choose a deputy, namely Dillon Bailey, Christopher Miller, and Amber respectively."

All of these individuals were at the peak of the Immortal Realm and were being promoted to head and deputy head. Smiles appeared on the faces of the six as they stepped forward.

Clayton Armstrong continued, "There are thirty official disciples from the Immortal Realm who have arrived. Excluding the six of you, there are exactly twenty-four left. There are twelve mining tunnels, and I will now appoint two managers for each. Each head will be in charge of four mining tunnels."

As he spoke, he arranged assignments for the twenty-four people.

After the official disciples had been assigned, Clayton Armstrong looked at Peter Brown and the others, "You are the provisional disciples, seventy in total. Five of you will be assigned to each mining tunnel, and the remaining ten will serve as logistics and chore disciples. I will now announce the assignment list."

Clayton Armstrong was the chief officer here, with the authority to appoint or dismiss personnel, so no one opposed his arrangements; they all listened to his decisions.

Peter Brown too was listening, and soon, his own assignment was announced. Peter was assigned to a mining tunnel managed by an Immortal Realm disciple named Everett Kingston, with the deputy manager named Adam Smith. They belonged to Dawn White’s jurisdiction.

Everett Kingston called out loudly, "My name’s Everett Kingston. Those whose names were read out as part of my group, come over here."

Without much time to think, Peter stood in front of Everett Kingston.

Looking at Peter and the others, Everett Kingston said, "Get to know me. My name is Everett Kingston, and I will be your manager from now on. This is the deputy manager, Adam Smith."

Adam Smith looked at everyone and gave a slight smile, choosing not to say much.

"Introduce yourselves," said Adam Smith.

"Wilder Harrison, Energy Gathering Layer," said a chubby man.

"Aiden Smith, Peak Ascension Layer," declared a man of average stature with pride.

Peter looked over at him; this was a person with not an insignificant level of cultivation in the Acquired Stage.

"James Evans, Energy Gathering Layer."

"Martin White, Peak Ascension Layer."

After the four of them had introduced themselves, Peter said, "Peter Brown, Energy Gathering Layer."

"Great, now that everyone has introduced themselves, we will live together in that mining tunnel. We need to cooperate with each other."

Since everyone was somewhat unfamiliar with each other, nobody said much.

Two hours later, seeing that everyone had finished interacting, Clayton Armstrong said, "Here we are guarded by high-level cultivators from the Immortal Sect, so there’s no need to worry too much. Just focus on your tasks. Once you’re down in the mines, you probably won’t be able to stay together since the mining tunnels are large and contain various sub-tunnels, and the situation is complex. Under the leadership of Dawn White, Peter and the others headed towards the mining tunnels.

Dawn White said, "There’s a possibility. However, the mining tunnels connect to different places, some of which even house numerous Ore Demons. "You don’t need to worry too much about that. If there are indeed very powerful Ore Demons, the Immortal Sect usually dispatches experts to clear them out. I heard there was a purge not long ago, and many Ore Demons were killed," Dawn White said.

Upon hearing this, Peter had a sudden realization; perhaps the Clarkson brothers’ Brother-in-law had been unable to find an opportunity to kill him and had instead arranged for him to come here, intending for Peter to be killed by Ore Demons in the mining tunnels.
