Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133: Starting a Strong Life Again_1
If one said that Peter Brown’s development on Earth was strong and aggressive, since he entered the Cultivation World, he had clearly felt himself aging in spirit. Upon entering the Immortal Realm, especially after leaving the Phantom Realm, this aging of his spirit intensified even more. He found his drive waning, preoccupied with too many thoughts and increasing concerns.
After this period of enlightenment, Peter Brown felt as if he had undergone a transformation. His spirit seemed to have been cleansed and had become young again.
Without giving it much thought, Peter Brown rushed off towards the location of Sean Snow.
Once he entered Sean Snow’s courtyard and saw him, he bowed deeply as a gesture of respect.
Peter Brown was truly grateful to Sean Snow. If it hadn’t been for his hint, Peter would not have known when he might have discovered these issues on his own.
When Sean Snow glanced at Peter and suddenly jumped to his feet, exclaiming, "You’ve enlightened!"
"I’ve understood some, but not thoroughly!" Peter replied.
Then Sean Snow laughed wryly, "I didn’t expect this. No wonder everyone says that once a Cultivator realizes the truth, they can grow rapidly. I am even considering entering the Phantom Realm myself!"
Peter Brown was stunned, "Immortal Bodies can also enter the Phantom Realm?"
Sean Snow explained, "That’s the situation for us Indigenous People. If we wrap our consciousness and have AI copy it, we can inject our consciousness into the Phantom Realm. However, with the entry of the consciousness, the original body will vanish, and one can only leave the Phantom Realm once their consciousness and ’seed’ mature. If they do not mature, they will forever be submerged in the Phantom Realm. For us, it’s a temptation but also a difficult decision to make."
There were such things!
Peter Brown said with a wry smile, "It’s not easy to achieve immortality in the Phantom Realm. I suggest not trying it. If one were to eternally sink in there, then there would truly be no hope left!"
"That’s why many people choose to enter the Phantom Realm only when their Life Extension is about to end. Actually, the number of people from our domain entering the Phantom Realm is not small at all—it’s quite substantial."
A sudden thought struck Peter Brown about the Ruyi Furnace in his Elixir Sea. He figured that item might have been brought in by those people.
"Could it be that some people use special methods to protect their consciousness from destruction, thereby entering the Phantom Realm?" Peter Brown asked.
After pondering for a moment, Sean Snow replied, "I really don’t know about that. I am still of too low a rank. Perhaps there are indeed powerful methods to do so, but within the Phantom Realm, even the strongest consciousness is governed by the AI, which has no mercy. The likelihood of preserving consciousness isn’t too high."
Peter Brown didn’t ask any further. He was now almost certain that his Ruyi Furnace was a high-rank Immortal Artifact. He just didn’t know what had happened to the person who had brought it in.
Sean Snow continued, "Even if someone managed to preserve their consciousness and enter the Phantom Realm, if they got caught up in some story there and lost their sense of direction, they would still be destroyed. For instance, matters of love are something us Indigenous People don’t regard highly. But once in the Phantom Realm, everything must follow its rules. Perhaps one would get trapped by it. If you get trapped and cannot get out, you’re truly finished, and even a strong consciousness would only be subject to Reincarnation."
Peter Brown felt some agreement with this. He guessed that something similar had likely happened to the previous owner of his Ruyi Furnace, and thus the furnace was lost and came into his possession.
Regardless, that matter was now in the past.
Expressing his gratitude, Peter Brown said, "I’ll say no more. I’ve come this time just to thank you, Brother. If it weren’t for you, I really wouldn’t know in which direction I would have developed."
Sean Snow laughed heartily, "After breaking through the barrier of confusion, you will face life with a new mindset. Treat the past as mere dust; just wipe it away. If you carry that dust with you, every step will be difficult. You’ve just started on the path of cultivation, which is very long. Only by moving forward will you have the hope to achieve immortality. Don’t be misled by the label of the Immortal Realm. It’s only in reference to those from the Phantom Realm. For us, this place is just another Mortal Realm. Achieving immortality is truly not easy."
Peter Brown nodded vigorously, "Right now, all I can think about is how to achieve immortality. Only by doing so can I escape Reincarnation and not be swayed by life."
"Hmm, such enlightenment cannot be accomplished all at once, nor should everything be completely dismissed. As long as you downplay these things enough not to let them affect your growth, that’s sufficient. You should know that from the moment you truly stepped onto this land, your Life Extension began. If you cannot guide Qi into your body within 300 years, you too will die—a complete death, for this is not the Phantom Realm!"
After a moment, Sean Snow took a book out of his storage bag and handed it to Peter Brown, "Consider this an investment. I’m giving you a basic book on refining artifacts; I hope you can also make some progress in that area."
Looking at the book titled "Basic Refining," Peter Brown was quite surprised. Such a book would cost about one hundred thousand immortal crystals on the market, and Sean Snow had simply gifted it to him.
"This..." Peter was tempted. He had been wanting to get a book to research but felt a bit hesitant to take it.
Sean Snow forcefully pushed the book into Peter’s hands, "After your enlightenment, you’re certain to grow swiftly. Consider this an investment. I don’t have much to offer you, but I hope you can help me out after you’ve grown stronger."
Peter Brown nodded fiercely, "Many thanks."
Seeing Peter accept without any objections, Sean Snow’s smile grew even broader. He then pulled out a big sword, "This is a Second-Class Immortal Sword that I refined. I see you don’t have any weapon, so use this for protection. As for sword techniques, I don’t have any here; you’ll need to find them yourself."
Peter Brown was grateful once again, knowing that Sean Snow was showing confidence in him—a sign of investment—but the items were indeed what he currently needed, and he couldn’t really refuse them.
After chatting a bit longer, Peter Brown finally left Sean Snow’s place.
Returning to his residence, Peter Brown sat cross-legged and plunged back into contemplation. The revelations about emotions had become a crucial aspect for him. Although he had realized some truths, he found it difficult to let go completely. After all, the people who had recently appeared in the Phantom Realm were his own parents, his woman, and it was hard to become Heartless so suddenly.
Fortunately, Peter had become aware of these issues. They had their lives, and for the moment, he couldn’t help them, so he decided to treat it all as a dream. When the day came that he truly achieved immortality, he would naturally be able to resolve these matters.
Never before had Peter been so certain of his goals. All he thought about now was how to walk the path toward immortality.
