Chapter 1122: Chapter 1122 Cultivator_1
Along with everyone’s voices, Peter Brown saw the figure in the Horizon Sky grow larger and larger until, in a blink, a Refining Flying Device had arrived in front of them.
Now this is true cultivation!
Everyone exclaimed in admiration, realizing that the flying vehicles of mortals paled in comparison to the Refining artifacts of cultivators.
As one of the young people put away the flying vehicle, three young individuals had already appeared before everyone.
One girl and two boys, each emanating an Immortal Spirit Aura that Peter had never seen before.
If one could say that cultivators change after cultivation, then these cultivators were even more formidable.
In the past, Peter had thought that after cultivating, his lovers had reached their utmost potential in all aspects, but now, seeing this Girl, he could only lament his inferiority. True Immortals are indeed different from simple cultivators.
No wonder they are called cultivators in the Phantom Realm and not Immortals; the difference is truly significant.
Peter originally thought he would have to start anew after exiting the Phantom Realm, but after seeing the Immortals, he realized that he was not starting over but had truly entered the ranks of Immortal cultivation, a far superior method of cultivation.
Initially, Peter may have had some aversion to joining the Immortal Sect, but now he had no such hesitation and was even more determined to join, no matter what.
The three individuals stood there, faces brimming with pride, looking down upon all beings from above. Yet, despite such attitudes, the people’s gazes towards them were still filled with fervor.
"I am the Town Chief, welcoming the Lord," said a middle-aged man with a strong Aura, along with some people, as he stepped forward to greet them.
"Enough with the formalities. Let’s get down to business. Once the Task is accomplished, we must return to the Sect," said the head of the young people, glancing at the Town Chief.
"We shall follow the Lord’s arrangements."
"Very well. For this Examination, we don’t need to know how many of you are participating. Anyone under the age of twenty can take part. Those who pass our Test will enter the Sect."
After the Town Chief agreed, he relayed these requirements loudly to the crowd.
"Everybody, please line up at the age-testing stone to measure your age."
As the Town Chief called out, one of the Sect Disciples had already brought out a human-sized stone and placed it there.
People then started queuing up towards the age-testing stone.
"Pass!"
"Pass!"
"Fail!"
"Pass!"
...
The person responsible for age-testing strictly carried out the Task.
Peter observed that anyone whose hand did not light up upon touching passed, while those who lit up were deemed inadequate.
The first step of the selection wasn’t difficult; as long as you were under twenty years of age, there were no issues. When it was Peter’s turn, he pressed his hand against it and immediately felt a surge of Power circle within him.
The stone didn’t light up, and Peter heard a voice say, "Pass."
After walking past, Peter looked back to see some people being eliminated.
"Those who passed, follow us inside," directed the head Immortal as they moved towards the dedicated Examination courtyard.
As Peter entered with the others, he immediately noticed there were more than a thousand people present.
"Second round: Identify Immortal Scripts. Recognizing 90% of the immortal script in the article is enough to pass," one of them announced.
As his words ended, the female cultivator conjured a formation.
Peter found himself in an illusion, and before him stood a huge Stele with a long article inscribed on it, entirely in immortal script, with instructions to recite it aloud.
Without hesitation, Peter began to read aloud while looking at it.
In the area of immortal script, Peter had truly put in the effort, even earnestly studying many obscure characters.
Only then did Peter realize the foresight he had; indeed, 20% of the characters in the long article were obscure. If he hadn’t studied them seriously, he would have certainly failed this time.
"Pass!"
When Peter flawlessly recited the entire article, he heard the voice of approval.
Subsequently, Peter was teleported out of the formation.
Once outside, he found that two people had already appeared beside him.
It seemed that those who seriously studied immortal script were not few.
Curious about the formation, Peter looked towards it. It was a formation that he did not know how to refine and could not study.
As individuals were teleported out one by one, there were now about a hundred people gathered where Peter stood.
When Harlan Swift appeared beside Peter and saw that he was standing there, surprise flickered in his eyes. He truly hadn’t expected Peter to pass the immortal script test as well.
Of course, they could only exchange glances and dared not speak, unsure if that would displease the three young people.
"Time’s up. Those who didn’t pass are disqualified."
As the formation was retracted, the leading cultivator glanced at Peter but said nothing.
Peter roughly estimated that only about 500 people remained, with nearly half having been eliminated.
"Third round: Measure Power. Each of you use your greatest strength to Bombard the Stele."
The beautiful Immortal once again brought forth a large stele.
"I’ll go first."
A brawny man stepped forward and unleashed a punch towards the stele.
Peter saw the stele flash with light.
"Not bad, reached the Immortal Power level, pass!" said the young man, nodding to the brawny man.
A few more individuals produced a light with their blows, all reaching the Immortal Power level, and naturally passed.
However, not everyone passed. Over two hundred people gave their all in Bombarding the Stele, but to no avail, no light shone.
Harlan Swift, with a sullen face, landed three punches that couldn’t ignite the light and was left feeling dejected.
Peter felt somewhat guilty for not sharing the Muscle and Bone Liquid with him, causing him to lose this chance.
When it was Peter’s turn, he gathered his strength and threw a punch.
Boom!
A flash of light passed, and Peter heard the voice of approval in his ears.
At that moment, Harlan stood there in shock, watching Peter, not expecting him to pass in strength as well.
Watching Harlan being led away, Peter thought about whether there was a chance to teach him the method to make the Muscle and Bone Liquid.
