Chapter 1038: Chapter 138 Harvest_1
Peter Brown did not immediately plant the Immortal Valley seeds, but soaked them in water infused with Concentrated Spirit Liquid, and then applied a sprouting technique to these seeds.
If it were an ordinary person, they could not provide the Immortal power needed to encourage the seeds of Immortal Valley to sprout, but for Peter Brown, it was not difficult, as the Immortal power now absorbed by his Nine Nascent Souls was sufficient to provide the necessary Immortal energy.
Time passed quickly, and what Peter Brown used to spur the sprouting was an upgraded Transformation Technique.
The seeds under the influence of Peter’s Cultivation Technique swiftly germinated, filling the entire basin with vitality.
Done!
Peter then began planting these sprouted seeds.
The Immortal Valley was completely different from mortal grains, each plant growing as tall as a tree, its branches bearing grains as plump as cherries.
After Peter planted the seeds, he infused the soil with Concentrated Spirit Liquid again.
With the addition of the Concentrated Spirit Liquid, the Immortal Field was now filled with spiritual energy.
Two days later, Peter’s Divine Sense detected that these seeds had taken root and were growing.
Seeing this, Peter began diluting the Aging Liquid.
The Aging Liquid had become one of Peter’s trump cards; he believed that just by watering with this divine liquid, the Immortal Valley would mature.
With only an acre to work, it was not difficult for Peter to perform this agricultural task, and it took only half a day to finish watering.
As Aging Liquid was applied, Peter saw the Immortal Valley growing rapidly as if inflated.
Success!
In just a day’s time, before any pests could emerge, the plants soared high, each grain full and rounded like a cherry, its golden husks hanging there, dazzling with golden light. Peter admired the sight in front of him, never expecting the Immortal Valley to be such a wonder.
Just as the grains ripened and Peter was unsure how to harvest them, he saw every plant and grain in the Immortal Field vanish completely.
Then, in a previously empty space nearby, a jade stage appeared.
Approaching it, Peter saw an artifact on the stage, containing about an acre’s worth of seeds and a Jade Slip.
This must be the reward, right?
Words started appearing on the jade stage.
"Top Grade harvest, passed, reward of Immortal Iron."
Just those few words!
The more Peter read, the more puzzled he became, not understanding what the Shennong Clan intended to do.
When he picked up the Jade Slip and infused it with Immortal power, the content presented before his eyes was about refining artifacts.
Alchemy?
Peter had always been curious about the crafting of Immortal Artifacts, and now, with the sudden reward of an Alchemy technique, excitement began to stir in his heart.
Soon enough, Peter had learned the most basic set of Immortal Artifact refining techniques.
What should he do next?
Peter was completely clueless.
Just then, he noticed another small platform had appeared nearby.
As he walked over to take a look, he saw a type of material on it.
Upon closer examination, it indeed was iron, but it was clear that this was no ordinary iron, being more tenacious and solid.
When he looked at the table again, there were words on it.
"Immortal Iron must be exchanged for Immortal Valley, one mu of Immortal Valley can be exchanged for a portion of Immortal Iron."
Is this a portion of Immortal Iron?
Peter Brown looked at those pieces of Immortal Iron on the stage, and they all seemed to be just enough to make a hoe.
Upon closer inspection, another line of small characters appeared on the stage.
"Refine an immortal hoe."
This place is a bit strange!
Peter Brown didn’t know what kind of place this was anymore, actually asking him to refine an immortal hoe!
Well, since there is nowhere else to go, might as well stay here to grow Immortal Valley and refine Immortal Artifacts.
When Peter Brown picked up that Immortal Iron, he immediately felt its weight; although it was only the amount needed for a mortal’s hoe, this iron was incredibly heavy.
Without further thought, Peter Brown concentrated his Divine Sense and began to grasp the content of the Alchemy Technique.
As a Master Refiner, refining wasn’t difficult for him, it was simply a matter of different methods.
After careful research, Peter Brown found that there wasn’t much difference between the two refining methods; the only difference was that here Immortal Power was used to drive the process, while in the Cultivation World True Qi was used.
After some time, Peter Brown made another discovery, that the requirements for the trial-takers here were to use Immortal Power to hammer the Immortal Iron into the shape of a hoe and that was all.
Of course, Peter Brown wouldn’t just operate in such a simple manner; with immense Immortal Power at his disposal, what he intended to do was to refine in the void, which was a top-tier technique in the Cultivation World, and Peter Brown believed it would work just as well here with the use of Immortal Power.
With Immortal Power as the furnace!
Peter Brown first created a Refining Furnace out of Immortal Power, and then kept transforming the Immortal Power until a blast of Immortal Fire appeared and shot toward the furnace.
Immortal Power Fire!
A smile finally appeared on Peter Brown’s face, his guess was indeed correct; if True Qi could turn into fire, there was no reason Immortal Power couldn’t, and now, his experimentation had succeeded.
As long as there was Immortal Fire, there would be no problem in forging.
This was Peter Brown’s first time refining an Immortal Artifact, and the joy of it was indescribable; he was completely immersed in the elation of mastering a new crafting skill.
Without thinking about anything else, Peter Brown’s only idea now was to evolve the artifact refining techniques of the Cultivation World into those of the Immortal Realm.
With the emergence of Immortal Fire and the existence of the Void Refining Furnace, Peter Brown knew he had no more issues with refining artifacts.
Suddenly, a thought crossed Peter Brown’s mind, and he took out the Ruyi Furnace.
Peter Brown had never understood the level of the Ruyi Furnace and even guessed that this furnace was not ordinary; now that he was here, with a significant presence of Immortal Power, he didn’t know if the furnace would undergo any changes.
The Ruyi Furnace was placed in front of him, and when Peter Brown looked at it, he didn’t see any changes to the furnace; after a moment’s thought, he tried using the Immortal Fire towards the furnace.
It was somewhat risky for Peter Brown to do this, as if the furnace were a mortal object, it might be destroyed under the forging of Immortal Fire.
However, when Peter Brown’s Immortal Fire touched the Ruyi Furnace, the furnace suddenly burst into brilliant light.
It changed!
Peter Brown was astonished to find that the furnace was no longer in its original dim state; not only was it shining with golden light, but a vast amount of Immortal Power from the Horizon Sky was streaming towards the furnace.
The Ruyi Furnace, like a Black Hole, kept swallowing the Immortal Power.
As time passed by bit by bit, Peter Brown watched with wide eyes, never expecting the furnace to be like an insatiable beast, swallowing so much Immortal Power without stopping.
