Chapter 397: Always Learning

"So she said, ’If you think you’re coming home smelling like fish one more time, you might as well sleep in the market!’"

Kazi threw his head back and laughed, his charisma lighting up the room. "That is how it is, man."

"I had to promise her a week’s worth of foot rubs just to keep the peace."

"’Heaven lies beneath the feet of your mother’ but I think that also applies to the wife!"

"Haha, true, true." Farouk’s eyes flicked over to the clock. "Ah, it seems we have been side-tracked."

Yep, yep.

"What was it you wanted?"

"An upgrade, good sir, from my current account."

Farouk glanced at Prince Yuzin’s letter and then Kazi himself. The assistant manager was already convinced. "How about we set you up with our elite account? The highest tier we offer."

Kazi tilted his head slightly, intrigued but playing it cool. "Elite, huh? What’s that entail?"

Farouk’s fingers interlaced as he spoke. "For starters, it provides better rates on point-to-gold exchanges—the best rates, actually. You’ll have access to more exclusive banking services, including private consultations, priority on loan approvals, and higher credit limits. And"—he paused for effect—"you’ll get access to three personal dimensions."

Fingers drummed on the table as if he were considering it. "Sounds like you’re offering me quite the deal. I fear it may be too much."

Farouk beamed, borderline infatuated by this point. "Nonsense. You are more than capable."

"I’m humbled you think so highly of me. I accept then."

"Excellent. We’ll set up the new account right away. I’ll have the necessary paperwork drawn up for you to sign. And of course, you’ll be given a dedicated banker to handle all of your future transactions."

Farouk stood and rang the bell on his desk. A minute later, his assistant entered. Farouk handed his assistant a key and whispered instructions to fetch the medallion.

Ten minutes later, the assistant returned and handed a clothed item to Farouk, who then sat down across Kazi and placed it on the table between them. Circular in shape, the edges were glowing tightly and engraved with Arabic lettering.

"That was fast," Kazi commented.

"I wanted to at least give you one before you left. The other two will require authorization. Think of this as a token of goodwill," Farouk explained. "Remember, this medallion, you must keep it under strict watch. You can access the dimension whenever you need by pressing the three buttons at the top. Ah, but not here. At the bank and select territories, the medallion will not work."

Kazi took the silver medallion, feeling its weight in his hand. It was perfect in his palm. "Thank you. I won’t forget this."

Farouk smiled warmly, oh-so pleased with how the meeting had gone. "Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything else. You’re part of the Alhambra Guardians’ system now—our doors are always open for you."

Kazi pocketed the medallion and extended a hand to Farouk. "Thanks again, Farouk. This has been more than I expected."

Firm handshakes.

A new dimension in his pocket, Kazi walked out with a big smile. The best bank account with high rates, great deal for loans, and a strong relationship with the bank. That was what he got out of today. That was what he did with thirty minutes and godly charisma.

Once outside the bank, he withdrew the medallion from his pocket, his fingers brushing over the etched Arabic lettering once more. He pressed the three buttons.

There was a faint hum, and the world around him shimmered, the colors blurring together for a moment. Then, with a soft pull on his senses, Kazi felt the magic take hold. The air shifted, and in the blink of an eye, he was gone.

Kazi reappeared in his new personal dimension, the white expanse stretching out before him. The space was vast but empty, a blank canvas that awaited his touch. The floor was pristine, smooth as marble, but without texture, and above him, there was nothing—just an endless, white void.

In the center of the dimension was a single, unremarkable chair.

"Ha. Just like when I first appeared with Azrael. Is the chair a quirk?"

Kazi took it in with a laugh before turning his attention to the small panel that had materialized in the air beside him, the settings interface for his personal dimension. The floating menu was simple but efficient, listing various options to modify and customize the space.

"The maximum space is ten acres. I can adjust between day and night. It’s the exact same as my original dimension. Good to know!"

He expanded the size of the dimension, pressing the button that allowed him to stretch the space to its maximum capacity—ten acres. The white void around him shimmered, the air rippling slightly as the space around him expanded, creating a vast, open field of nothingness.

Next, he activated the sky option, and immediately the white ceiling above him transformed, fading into a clear blue sky dotted with a few soft clouds. A gentle breeze began to blow, and the warmth of the sun filled the air. It was perpetually daytime here.

"I remember Princess Liuying’s farm growing a bit dark. I bet there’s a way to create a night-day cycle."

Plants were like people. They required rest and the night was the time to do it. A night cycle was a necessity, not an option.

But he didn’t know how to do it. Nothing in the personal dimension’s System windows supplied it a cycle too. So he decided to stick with the daytime.

"Now then...construction."

That too had to be done with the owner’s own abilities.

Kazi Hossain was Kazi Hossain. He was always learning, always evolving, and always doing so on the spot.

From his inventory, he took out textbooks. He spread the textbooks out before him, forming a semicircle on the floor. One by one, he opened them, flipping through the pages until they all lay before him.

Kazi stood in the middle of it all.

It was time for a lesson on Major Magic Disciplines.
