"Shadow control!"

"Wind walk!"

The two of them casted magic at almost the same time.

Dark shadows appeared from the ground, trying to grab Evan but Evan’s feet were imbued by wind magic, allowing him to move away almost instantaneously.

"Come again!"

More magics were thrown to each other and Evan either blocked it or avoided it. When it was Evan’s turn to attack, Leon used the shadow to cover the magic or avoid it altogether.

The two of them were usually evenly matched like this.

Evan grinned and raised his hand. "Let the world face my power, Wind Storm!"

Second rank magic, the magic ability that could target several people all at once.

When Aya saw this, her eyes narrowed. Evan only used half of the chant for the magic in order to speed up and also reduce his mana consumption. It seemed that Evan’s magic was about to be bottomed out.

Leon sneered and also used his magic, "The shadow will remain in the shadow, Shadow Cover!"

The wind element reached the shadow magic and it dissipated. But it was clear from Leon’s face that he didn’t really feel too good.

The shadow magic was not exactly known for their defensive power.

"Rank 3 spells." Yun’s eyes widened slightly. The mana consumption for rank 3 spells was much higher than rank 2. In their team, she should be the only one who could use rank 3 magic.

Evan was obviously surprised, so he quickly raised his hand to cover and activated his magic. "Crystal armor!"

In an instant, crystal particles came out of Evan’s body and formed a shield in front of Evan.

The spear of darkness is the weakened version of the rank 6 arrow of darkness that Black Family Patriarch used before. It could only form one relatively smaller spear made of dark magic and the range was also much smaller. Moreover, the mana consumption was a bit big for a mere rank 3 spells.

But it was one of the few dark magic with high penetration power.

The other waited at the side and Silas was watching the battle. Because of their clash, the dust rise up from the ground and covered their vision. But Silas was still able to see their situation and a flash of amazement appeared in his eyes.

Because he could see that Evan was completely intact.

"Is he alright?" Yun asked worriedly.

"Both of them are fine."

Along with SIlas’s words, the dust finally settled and they saw Evan stood there with the crystal in front of him shattering but he was perfectly.

It was just that the mana consumption was a bit big.

*pant* *pant*

Evan looked at Leon, who was standing in front of him with shock and raised his hand. "Wind blades!"

Bang!

A shadow from the side blocked the wind attack.

"You lose, Leon." Silas then glanced at Yun.

Yun nodded and rushed forward with a bottle of mana potion. Thankfully, they were all quite rich or they would have long become bankrupt just from the massive resource consumption they have over the years. Every spar would need to consume potions and these potions were by no means cheap.

Leon’s face was pale and he nearly dropped to the ground.

Using ranked 3 magic was too much for him whose mana had only reached the standard of rank 3. Moreover, he had used his mana a few times to attack and defend against Evan.

In the end, the power of his shadow was compromised while he ran out of mana.

Evan’s mana was not much better than Leon but at the last moment, he still has more than enough mana to cast another rank 1 spell.

It was the basic spell.

The most basic one.

But Leon had no energy to move.

It was also because of this that Silas interfered.

"I won." Evan grinned and then also sat down on the ground, panting hard. He quickly sat cross legged and meditated to recover his mana.

"It completely blocks the blow from a third rank magic," Dean muttered in a low voice.

He couldn’t say that his physical strength was stronger than a rank 3 magic, so Dean also knew that Aya’s evaluation from before was correct.

If he tried to fight Evan with only pure physical strength, he would be defeated.

"Okay, one more spar before leaving," Silas said. "Evan against Aya and Dean against Leon."

"Why?" Leon was stunned. He thought that Dean would fight against Evan since Dean was curious how his physical strength would fare against Aya.

"So that you can see that crystal armor is not invisible," Silas replied.

Evan’s lips twitched. He looked at Aya in front of him and silently wondered that his mana should be enough for an absolute defense even in front of Aya, right?
