Chapter 103: Spar

Chapter 103: Spar

Not everyone who could use magic inheritance was allowed to try to fuse it now. No matter what, these children would be important in the future and the White Family couldn’t afford to lose them.

After Evan succeeded, the two of them were happy, though.

"Ah, why did you mention my weakness first?" Evan wailed.

"Everyone knew this." Aya rolled her eyes and itched to slap her cousin but her etiquette didn’t allow her to do so.

The main limit for the White Family’s magic inheritance was their mana. As long as their mana run out, it would be fine.

but if they could replenish their mana quickly or they have more mana than expected...

Then they should expect to lose the fight.

"Then, I’ll fight you until you run out of mana," Leon said with a grin.

"You’re the one who will run out of mana first." Evan rolled his eyes at Leon. From what he knew, the shadow control would still exhaust Leon’s magic. After all, if the shadow magic was used to restrain or to attack him, it would consume Leon’s mana.

"Tsk, that’s not true!"

"Let’s try now!"

"I’m ready."

"Who’s afraid of you!"

Right when the two of them were about to fight, Silas arrived at the scene. He looked at his cousin and Evan who were ready to fight speechlessly.

"Do you have to fight every single time?"

"Teacher!"

"Brother Silas."

"Teacher Silas."

They greeted Silas obediently. Both Leon and Evan were still glaring at each other, but they lowered their hands down.

Aya looked at this scene speechlessly.

When they first met, the scene was quite harmonious. Later on, the two of them fought against each other a lot and finally became rivals. After that, their relationship seemed to deteriorate because when they met, all they thought was how to fight against each other.

It seemed that the relationship between the Black and White Family would always stay this way no matter how much time has passed.

And back then, she thought that it would be different between Evan and Leon.

"It seems that your improvement is quite big." Silas nodded at Evan. He looked at the group of people in front of him. "Our task today is to study and practice. But from the way it looks like, you would like to practice first before training?"

Leon and Evan’s eyes lit up and they looked at each other.

"Here’s a book about the few formations commonly used for both magic beasts and ghosts." Silas took out five books and handed it to each of them. "Your task is to read them and tomorrow I’ll test you and you can also ask some questions related to it."

"Are you not going to explain, Teacher Silas?" Yun asked in confusion.

"Ahaha, I’m not very good at formation magic," Silas admitted with a bitter smile. "I can only use the formation but the explanations are not too good."

The others: "..."

How did you answer our questions, then?

*cough*

"Don’t worry, tomorrow I’ll bring my teammate to help answer your questions," Silas said with a helpless smile on his face.

It couldn’t be helped.

Even though Silas did take many missions on his own, most of the missions he took were related to magic beasts instead of ghosts. He didn’t have much talent in formation and didn’t bother to learn them intensively.

When ghosts are involved, Silas will team up with others.

"Shall we see the spar now?" Silas changed the conversation.

The others nodded and then made way for Evan and Leon who were ready to fight against each other. The two of them were looking at each other and the moment Silas said, ’start,’ they immediately launched their magic.
