Chapter 869: Section 573: Conflict (Part 4)_2

"Have Zeta’s company commander take some people over and see what’s in the warehouse," Malin said, curious to see what was bold enough for the gang to dare checking the warehouse.

Tuojin nodded, then turned and sent his signalman to find the commander of Zeta’s company.

Malin noticed the elder being dragged over, his left leg gone, the hastily treated wound still oozing blood, but at least he was alive.

Malin stood still, watching as the elder was dragged in front of him.

"Sir Malin, this is William, patriarch of the Dole Vince family," said the soldier who dragged him over.

Malin gestured for the soldiers to step back, and they threw the old man to the ground, one of the soldiers even spitting on him.

Patriarch William, unconcerned by the spit on his face, struggled to sit up: "You may have won today, Malin Gaiate, but do you think you can massacre my family without any retribution? You are not even a Northern Noble! What right do you have to govern us! Can a Legendary do whatever he wants?!"

"Patriarch William, I always thought you were an excellent schemer, but I didn’t expect you to be such a fool. I stand before you now representing the façade of the Goddess of Harvest, don’t you understand?" Malin said with a smile.

Patriarch William’s anger froze on his face, for he saw the small Spiritual Body beside Malin, and the distortion and rage on his face.

So, quite logically, he screamed.

But Malin did not let the child tear into the old man because Malin was the Judge; he patted the small Spiritual Body on the head, soothing its soul, then Malin drew the Revolver from his waist: "Patriarch William, do you understand your sins? You oppressed followers of the Goddess of Harvest, twisted the Noble’s creed, and even violated the laws of the Northern Kingdom. The Chandler family you framed had nothing to do with Chaos. For the sake of seizing more productive fields, you killed them... Do you think that the Church of the Goddess of Harvest is too weak to compare with your Winter Wolf?"

Having said that, Malin extended his hand, stopping the throwing axe, hurled by the Winter Wolf Knight who had just walked through the transportation portal, in mid-air.

The next second, the knight was sent flying, over the open space, over the wreckage, finally crashing into the wall of a large house.

"Lady, if your people are still so rash next time, I may have to kill," Malin said, raising his eyebrows as he looked at the Bishop who had her hands raised coming out of the transportation portal, "Alright, lower your hands, lady."

"I told him, you are not a Legendary that can be easily dealt with, the youth always refuses to accept it." The Bishop who had once met Malin looked around, not interested in her followers but rather curious about the machine gun platform: "What is that, Sir Malin."

"It’s a nasty thing that can send all Knights to hell," Malin answered truthfully, while smiling at the young man prying himself off the wall: "What, you still want to fight?"

"You infidel who has hurt my Church’s followers! I’d rather die than compromise with you!" Having said that, the young man pulled a chair leg from the wreckage and charged at Malin.

The soldiers didn’t move, as they had already received a signal from Malin.

"Could you not kill him, considering he only has a chair leg," asked the Bishop with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"No problem, I respect you, and it’s good that the young are full of energy," Malin replied as he lifted and pushed, and the young Knight who had almost reached him was once again sent back the way he came, this time crashing through the wall into the fire.

"Sir, won’t he be burned to death?" Tuojin walked over.

"No, he’s quite a Knight after all," Malin replied just as the Knight, with his cloak ignited, leapt out. He rolled on the ground a few times to extinguish the fire, simultaneously losing face.

"Thank you, Sir Malin," said the lady with a smile.

"You’re welcome. By the way, about the Dole Vince family harming my Church’s followers..." Malin looked at the lady, hoping she would explain why she had come here.

"You see, this town also has the Winter Wolf Church, and the Assistant Priest doesn’t think he can confront you. And he also knows some of the truth, so he didn’t dare to hide it from the head Church, and I happened to be free," the lady explained her presence perfectly: "That young man has nothing to do with me, he is a justice fanatic."

"I thought so," Malin glanced at the young Knight who Fio and Lorrin were hanging upside down: "But you’d better temper his temper. Had it been someone else, he would already be dead."

"Yes, sir, your justice and mercy are renowned, so the fate of the Dole Vince family shall be decided by you. As the Winter Wolf Church, our Lord spits on their vile actions," the lady’s answer pleased Malin greatly. He turned to look at Constance Federon who had come out of another transportation portal: "Why are you here?"

"You see, it’s my day off," said the young man, Logan’s cousin, glancing over the scene: "Ah, you truly are an existence that brings storms of blood and carnage to the world."
