Chapter 482: Chapter 323: The Endless Night (Part 4)_3

And this time, Mana approached the glass wall.

"Again, confirm target, man on the stairs from the first to the second floor, shoot after three seconds, bullet projected to pass through the glass wall after 0.75 seconds."

Three seconds later, Malin heard the sound of the trigger being pulled through his earpiece.

As the bullet neared the wall, Mana opened a small passage for it, and the bullet that passed through the glass wall ultimately burrowed into the forehead of the man who was smoking.

Fio immediately took control of the soulless husk of the man, Lorrin dropped from the ceiling and strangled the half-human leaning on the handrail, while Melo helped his comrade force the half-human down onto the floor.

"Was there just a draft?"

"Impossible."

The Chaotic Believers on the second-floor top noticed a cold breeze, but their companions below did not feel it.

So with some confusion, he looked toward the other side—where the man who had been killed still leaned against the wall, the half-human who had previously struggled on the carpet had already lost its last bit of life, with its neck broken, it lay on the floor, with a coffee table and a sofa as cover between them. The curious gentleman saw nothing, unable to satisfy his curiosity.

In Malin’s earpiece, the second trigger pull was heard.

The bullet passed through the passage, burrowed into the second-floor man’s head, and the lifeless body fell backward, caught by the sofa that Malin had pushed over using Spiritual Energy—it ’sat’ on the sofa in a rather domineering manner.

Unfortunately, there were no cigars and champagne.

Fio released the corpse, giving up the task of propping it up, and once again jumped onto the ceiling. It quickly moved to a corner, swallowed a small shadow beast that had woken up due to the scent of blood, devouring it alive.

Lorrin and Melo jumped onto the handrails and then swung down together, hanging the Gnome who had been about to head to the bathroom up to the second floor, completely entangled, the Gnome could only wait for death helplessly.

Malin walked past the table, flipping through the books on it, the papers turned into sharp blades. Malin looked at Chaos, who was pushing open the door and walking out—the paper knives immediately flew at him, and in the very instant before the door closed, slipped through the gap.

The door closed, and the body cut into pieces lay scattered on the ground.

"No issues discovered by the guards at the door."

Lillim’s voice sounded.

Malin marked a target for Lillim, which was a target walking up to the second floor.

Fio would open a passage for the bullet’s flight, which is the greatest tragedy for wooden walls. In front of the World Tree Sapling, their existence was thinner than paper.

Three seconds later, the sound of the trigger being pulled echoed simultaneously.

Walking up the second floor, the man who had just discovered the bodies hadn’t yet recovered from his shock when a bullet pierced his cervical spine. He fell onto the sofa that caught him, helplessly starting the countdown to the end of his life.

Meanwhile, the Chaotic targeted by Clovis went behind a pillar next to the door. The bullet entered from the back of his head, and as the constraints in front of him were broken, Lorrin’s tentacles caught the bullet and skull fragments, gently laying the corpse on the rug.

Malin swiftly tagged two more targets.

"Why is there a smell of blood? Dachi! Higel! Daun!" Someone stood up and looked toward the second floor, only to find no one there.

Then two bullets passed through the passage; the bullet from the direction of the door knocked down the Gnome at the alarm behind him.

And the bullet coming from the direction of the lighthouse took down the human who was running up to the second floor, falling on the stairs.

Lorrin climbed out from the shadows, enveloping the head of the human by the fireplace.

Melo hung down from the ceiling. The Dwarf, unfortunate enough to be prey, tried to get up, but was entangled by the branches around his only slender neck.

Malin pulled the trigger, killing the Chaos who had noticed something was off and his friend on their way to the alarm, while the sharpened pages of paper cut the fat man who rushed at him into chunks of meat scattered on the floor.

"Cleanup complete, I’m pleased, I’ll write about this operation in my memoirs in my later years."

Lillim’s tiny cheer came through the earpiece.

·Quiet, efficient, a perfect operation.

Clovis was clearly no stranger to collaborating with Malin, as she gave him good news.

·Our scouts have entered the second floor, Giant Rat One and Giant Rat Two have passed through the main corridor’s windowsill.

·Shared vision is now operational.

As Malin spoke, he removed his magazine, and with Fio and the others clearing the way ahead, he took out loose bullets from his pocket and began to reload.

He filled the magazine and then slid it back into the gun.

Malin passed through the door that Fio had opened for him, and as he walked past the Chaos being strangled on the wall, Malin reached out and patted its head with a sort of pity.

"Sweet dreams, sir, may your soul be purified."

After speaking, Malin entered the hallway, leaving behind the desolate Mr. Despair, whose skull was being bored open by Mana.

·Giant Rat One has checked the study, no targets, they’re not there.

·Giant Rat Two has confirmed the tool room, lots of weapons, ah, we also found Mr. Dagu’s head.

The reports from Clovis and Lillim made Malin shake his head.

It seemed that Mr. Dagu was not a Chaotic, but sadly, he was doomed by his possession, lacking the strength to avoid becoming a victim of Chaos’s substitution.

Considering their previous conversation, it was highly likely that Mrs. Higel and the children were all victims... The contamination of Chaos isn’t limited to the body, getting close to Chaos could even corrupt the soul, and even if they were still alive, they were probably facing a fate worse than death.

Thus, Chaos truly is the most fearsome enemy.

With this thought, Malin raised his gun towards the open bathroom door, where... two men were still drunk, and he pulled the trigger.

Fio peeked out with half a branch to see the two naked men fallen in the bathroom, only to be swatted away by Malin, who felt he had quite rudely interrupted a party and then courteously closed the door on the two men.

·How disgusting.

Lillim’s agonized statement came through the earpiece.

·Mr. Malin, you’ve destroyed true love.

There was a hint of teasing in Clovis’s voice.

·Indeed, and the thought of having to destroy even more true love in the future makes me quiver with excitement.

Malin replied irritably, then glanced at the room that had turned transparent, where several Chaotics were playing cards, their small table cluttered with various denominations and shapes of Mowish and cards. Malin raised an eyebrow, and the next second, the paper Mowish and their card friends transformed into sharp blades, slicing the gamblers inside the room into pieces.

·I never thought that a support ability like a paper manipulator could have such terrifying lethality.

Faye’s voice appeared on the channel for the first time.

·You see, my dear, the powers beyond transcend the mundane constraints of imagination.

As Malin responded, paintings on the wall jumped out of their frames, bifurcating the Half-human who tried to push through the door, and with the Silent Barrier dispelled, Malin waved his hand, and four World Tree Saplings pierced through the wall.

Reaching the door, Malin took out a pocket watch from his waistcoat and, after ten seconds had passed, he peered inside the room to discover it had been transformed by the World Tree Saplings into a post-modernist space drenched in blood red.

The four World Tree Saplings were providing the last struggling Chaotic Believer with a five-way split finale.
