"Where are you going? Didn’t you see your Lan Li is not inside?" Old Master Gu shouted, but it was unstoppable, as Old Master Lan had already walked in with his cane.

Inside, He Teng and He Zhilan had just taken their seats at the main table when they heard someone calling for He Teng. As they turned around, they saw Old Master Gu and another elderly gentleman walking in, one after the other.

Seeing He Teng stand, He Zhilan picked up her skirt and followed him, and upon hearing He Teng’s greeting, she realized it must be Lan Li’s grandfather, her biological maternal grandfather.

He Zhilan had a faint impression of this grandfather, only remembering that the old man lived in his hometown for years and rarely visited the capital. Therefore, she hardly remembered what he looked like.

"Grandfather Gu, Grandfather Lan," He Zhilan greeted the two men lightly as she stood next to He Teng and saw Old Master Gu looking at her. She smiled at Old Master Gu and then asked, "Grandfather Gu, what brings you here?"

"I was actually here to meet some other old friends, but as I was passing by the doorway, I saw you two," Old Master Gu said, feeling a sense of relief in his heart as He Zhilan did not show any disdain towards him, an elder of the Gu family, due to the events of these past years.

To be honest, although He Zhilan’s arrival at his birthday celebration years ago had caused quite a stir, Old Master Gu still liked this young lady in front of him.

Seeing the two elders, Lin Chan also came over with his parents. Glancing at He Zhilan, they were all exceedingly surprised by the elders’ arrival. He Zhilan glanced at her father, then called over a waiter to add two seats at the main table, as given the identity and status of these two elders, it was not seemly to randomly assign them just any seats.

After adding the seats and sitting down, everyone at the main table, aware of the identities of He Zhilan and the two elders, wore expressions that seemed indescribable.

Lin Chan also worried that He Zhilan might be emotionally affected by the sudden appearance of the two elders. Fortunately, He Zhilan still showed respect for the two elders, and her face did not reveal any inappropriate emotions.

"Thank you, Old Master Gu and Old Master Lan," He Teng replied faintly, glancing at He Zhilan before raising their glasses to clash with the two elders.

He Zhilan did not drink alcohol, so her glass was also filled with a soft drink, undisturbed, she drained her glass in one go without saying a word, then sat down.
