“Who has disturbed my sleep? Where did that power just now come from?” Man Kui's voice was earth-shattering.

Old Salamander exhaled. "Old friend, it's good to see you still alive. The Primal Beastland is being underestimated..."

As Old Salamander spoke, Man Kui's aura continued to climb, and his eyes turned to stare at Boundless. "All who dare to offend my Primal Beastland can just die!"

Old Salamander's face fell. "Seraph Lu, no matter what you say now, there is no way to dismiss the fact that you have insulted my Primal Beastland. Boundless will not be allowed to just leave today."

Lu Yin shrugged. "If the Primal Beastland really wants a war, we’re happy to join you. Regardless, since the person behind the scenes has been found, and if the Primal Beastland refuses to deal with the situation, I will.

"Emperor Wu, what do you think?"

All eyes again turned to Emperor Wu.

Man Kui's expression was fierce and aggressive as he stared at Emperor Wu. When the Grand Mountain Lord spoke, he made no attempt to hide his irritation. "Woodpecker, you’ve changed."

Emperor Wu was still calm, and he even seemed to have gotten lost in his thoughts.

Man Kui continued speaking. "You no longer deserve the title of Emperor Wu. A new ruler of the Primal Beastland should be appointed."

The countless cultivators in the Primal Beastland were all shocked. Did Man Kui actually want to challenge the lord of the domain?

In outer space, many of the observers were also astonished. "Is Man Kui that confident? Since he hasn’t died after all these years, could he have had a breakthrough?"

"It doesn’t seem like it. His aura is the same as before. He doesn’t seem to have had any breakthrough."

"I wonder how Emperor Wu will respond."

"What Emperor Wu said should be true. Seraph Lu even found evidence, though he’s been interrupted by Man Kui. It’s no wonder why they are putting so much pressure on Emperor Wu today. Old Salamander wants to force Emperor Wu to defend his title of Seraph, and with Man Kui’s appearance, another competitor has shown up."

"That doesn't make any sense. Why would Old Salamander want to become a Seraph? There’s no benefit in it for him."

"True, unless he's helping someone else take the title. In the entire Spirit Nidus, aside from him and a few other beast-form Spirit Rebirths, there are no other qualified candidates, including Man Kui. Actually, he doesn’t really qualify either. Could this be related to Emperor Slayer? The challenge letter that Emperor Slayer left to humiliate Emperor Wu also seems to have something to do with Old Salamander."

"Things are getting stranger..."

Emperor Wu calmly stood on the shattered earth. He had been unusually calm the moment that Lu Yin had trapped the nine individuals.

Emperor Wu enjoyed fiercely loyal followers in the Primal Beastland, such as the dead Threeheaded Fiend, who had cultivated an image of Emperor Wu with his Divine Projection. There were many cultivators who treated Emperor Wu as an object of their faith.

At this moment, they were all waiting for Emperor Wu’s response.

He had not tried to stop Boundless from leaving just moments ago, but that had been to force Old Salamander out. Everyone understood that Emperor Wu did not lack a desire to fight, nor did he fear Boundless. What would he do next? Was Old Salamander really the hidden mastermind? Man Kui’s challenge and Boundless’s blatant disrespect both targeted Emperor Wu.

In particular, at this moment, Man Kui’s words rendered the truth irrelevant. He had challenged Emperor Wu, pushing him to fight Boundless. What would he do?

Lu Yin was also curious. Whether they fought or not did not matter to him. Old Salamander would not be able to escape. Everyone on Boundless was keeping an eye on the old monster. He was already dead. Old Salamander’s only hope was to force the Primal Beastland into a war with Boundless. Only by triggering the greatest battle in the Spirit Nidus’s history would he be able to save himself. Whether or not war broke out depended entirely on Emperor Wu.

Emperor Wu slowly lifted his head to gaze up at the sky. He was not looking at anyone in particular. His foot rose up, and when it fell, the ground trembled. Starting from where he stood, cracks opened up in the ground and radiated in all directions.

The entire Primal Beastland started heaving.

The Primal Beastland was the largest of the thirty-six domains. It was vast and seemingly endless, holding countless worlds of many different sizes.

Emperor Wu’s single stomp caused the entire Primal Beastland to start collapsing beneath him. A terrifying force erupted from his body, forming beams of light that shot high into the sky. He roared as his power spread out, even sweeping through outer space. Emperor Wu's body rose higher and higher. Behind him, a shadow as dark as the abyss devoured all that it fell upon. Vertical red lines abruptly shot out from his face, and red beams moved out from him. Each one stabbed deep into the ground, as though they were trying to impale the Primal Beastland.

Old Salamander, Man Kui, Yi Die, Jiu Weihu, and the other Grand Mountain Lords had no idea what Emperor Wu was doing. They trembled along with the ground as volcanoes erupted and the universe started to collapse.

Everyone could feel a terrifying, indescribable aura from Emperor Wu. It felt as though a monster had draped itself across the sky to look down on the entire Primal Beastland.

His aura felt completely different from when he had fought against Wilderness God. At this moment, Emperor Wu felt like a completely different person.

Even Boundless started shaking. Lu Yin looked down. Emperor Wu’s aura was unbelievably terrifying, and even Lu Yin almost felt suffocated. The aura had grown heavy and oppressive, and Lu Yin felt an urge to break free of the sensation.

A deep growl rose from Emperor Wu. The soundwaves that formed rippled across the sky.

Without warning, in every location where a red beam had pierced the ground, an aura appeared and surged into the sky. They belonged to sequence powerhouses, Ortusers, and even to Dukkhans. These auras rose up from the Primal Beastland’s underground, rising high into the sky. Their appearance made it feel as though the domain had been flipped upside down and that the universe was falling into a dark sea.

Old Salamander was astonished. Just what were all of these auras?

Man Kui was startled. "They didn't die? Are none of them dead?"

Yi Die and Jiu Weihu exchanged glances. They could feel the auras of former Grand Mountain Lords rising up from underground. How could those experts still be alive?

How was it possible? Those Grand Mountain Lords should have died long ago.

Old Salamander was terribly confused. As he stared downwards, he recognized many familiar auras. Most of them belonged to powerhouses that he had believed to be dead. It turned out that they actually had not died. While none were older than him, why were they not dead? They should have perished long ago.

Lu Yin let out a breath. Finally, he was being shown the Primal Beastland’s true foundation.

As expected, the place where the vast majority of beast-form Spirit Rebirths had gathered also had a group of ancient monsters who refused to die. While none of them were particularly strong, there was no doubt that they had a strong influence on the current Primal Beastland. These individuals were the ancestors, parents, and mentors of countless cultivators.

By shattering the ground, Emperor Wu had revealed the Primal Beastland’s greatest secret. "I, Li, am Emperor Wu! I am the lord of the Primal Beastland! I was in the past, and I still am now!

"Ancient powerhouses persist underground. They fought for me, trusted me, and buried themselves for me, waiting to be awakened and continuing fighting. Ask them, will they acknowledge you, or do they still acknowledge me?

"Do you think that you can revoke my title as Emperor Wu just because you say so?"

Emperor Wu’s head suddenly rose high. "One-third of the beast-form Spirit Rebirths in the Spirit Nidus refused to join the Primal Beastland, but just because they are not part of the Primal Beastland does not mean that they do not listen to me!

"I am Emperor Wu, the lord of all beast-form Spirit Rebirths! I alone can lead the beast-form Spirit Rebirths to ascend! Throughout this megaverse, only I, Emperor Wu, rule over them!"

Roars echoed across the earth as the bloodlines of countless cultivators in the Primal Beastland were stirred up. They felt compelled to kneel. Even in outer space, beyond the Primal Beastland, roars were heard as all beast-form Spirit Rebirths submitted to Emperor Wu. He alone could lead the beast-form Spirit Rebirths to rise up in the Spirit Nidus.

At this moment, his aura carried endless strength. Everyone was shocked by what they felt, including Old Salamander and Man Kui.

Old Salamander just stared at Emperor Wu. Peerless combat strength was the final rule in the world of cultivators. As long as Emperor Wu remained the strongest, everything he did would be considered correct. The only way he could ever be replaced was if someone surpassed Emperor Wu.

He wielded absolute control over the beast-form Spirit Rebirths. Many years had passed, and the current generation of powerhouses had rarely ever felt Emperor Wu’s real aura. At this moment, they felt it. This was the true lord of the Primal Beastland, and he was completely irreplaceable.

The beast-form Spirit Rebirths enjoyed some of the same advantages as astral beasts, and they also had certain instincts that were the same as astral beasts. One such instinct was respect for the powerful.

Emperor Wu did not need to actually do anything. Simply being invincible was enough.

He stared at Old Salamander. "Explain yourself. The Primal Beastland will not tolerate any traitors."

Old Salamander’s face fell. It had become his turn to remain silent.

Man Kui slammed his claws into the earth, trying to fight back against Emperor Wu’s aura. However, at this moment, Emperor Wu was just as large as Man Kui, and when Emperor Wu turned his head, the red glow from his face made those who saw it feel as though they had fallen into hell. Even the unruly Man Kui instinctively took a step back, reminded of times when Emperor Wu had nearly killed him.

Lu Yin was impressed. "Can we continue now?"

Emperor Wu looked over. "Resume."

Lu Yin lightly tapped his finger again. "That one guided Yue Cheng to the Hundred Grasses Domain."

Another beast-form Spirit Rebirth cultivator was isolated and surrounded by a bright light.

His face blanched with fear. He had just made an attempt to escape, having been ready to tear through the void and flee, but escape was no longer a possibility.

"That one forced Yue Shu into the Hundred Grasses Domain."

Another individual was isolated.

For a number of years, Old Salamander put on a show of being a lazy retiree who was simply waiting to die. To avoid letting anyone see his true nature, he constantly recruited followers from within the Primal Beastland to carry out his tasks. They were close by, which was convenient. Also, given that the Primal Beastland was xenophobic towards outsiders, it was hard for Old Salamander’s people to be found.

However, in a moment, Lu Yin had exposed everything.

Old Salamander’s expression contorted, and he showed a bitter smile. "This appears to be a play orchestrated by Seraph Lu and our own lord. Seraph Lu is helping our lord eliminate some of us old people. Will your current grudges now be abandoned and your promised battle be forgotten?

"Fabricating these lies might seem to gain you nothing, my lord, but I know that you've been planning on cooperating with the Tianyuan Megaverse to kill the High Seraph!"

The Primal Beastland erupted once more.

In outer space, countless spectators were stunned. Kill the High Seraph? Are they crazy? Does Emperor Wu actually plan to work with the Tianyuan Megaverse to kill the High Seraph?

Lu Yin arched a brow. This Old Salamander was quite clever, shifting topics as soon as the facts were exposed. Such an explanation was far easier to believe than the actions from Old Salamander that Lu Yin had revealed so far.

After all, there was no clear motive behind Old Salamander’s efforts to become a Seraph and frame Emperor Wu. There was no explanation for his actions, and not even Lu Yin could determine the old monster’s motives.

On the other hand, the idea that the Tianyuan Megaverse and Emperor Wu were joining hands to kill the High Seraph seemed entirely plausible. After all, the High Seraph had always suppressed the beast-form Spirit Rebirths, and Emperor Wu's greatest desire was well known to be to defeat the High Seraph.

Once again, everyone was left confused. What was true? Things were becoming harder to make sense of.

Old Salamander's voice rang out, "Our lord wishes to cooperate with outsiders to eliminate those like me because I opposed our lord’s actions against the High Seraph! While the High Seraph is a human-form Spirit Rebirth, he has led the Spirit Nidus to its current heights, suppressing both the Consciousness and Tianyuan Megaverses! If we lose the High Seraph, how will we restrain the Tianyuan Megaverse?

"I did not initially want to reveal this, but with how things have developed, I have to be clear: we beast-form Spirit Rebirths may see temporary successes or setbacks, but the Spirit Nidus itself cannot fall!"

Up above on Boundless, Old Tao sighed. "How self-righteous, Old Salamander. He’s managed to completely twist the current situation back around, presenting himself as an example of someone who is willing to fight both Emperor Wu and the Tianyuan Megaverse to the death for the sake of the Spirit Nidus. I have to admit, the old bastard is quite cunning."
