SSS-Tier Extraction: From Outcast to Overgod!
Chapter 55: Riding the Cascade

Chapter 55: Riding the Cascade

The second Ryan’s hands made contact with the smooth, cool surface of the god Weaver’s console, his world exploded.

It wasn’t a physical explosion of fire and sound, but an internal one, a detonation of pure information and raw power that flooded his senses.

He felt a direct, profound connection snap into place between himself and the colossal, floating machine. It was like plugging his brain directly into the internet of the entire Sector.

The Labyrinth Keystone on his belt grew warm, acting as the perfect adapter, while his Weaver’s Interface Gauntlet translated the overwhelming flow of data into something his mind could handle.

His SSS-Tier system, built for a lifetime of deconstructing and absorbing, opened its metaphorical mouth and began to drink from a firehose of pure god energy.

A torrent of notifications, more impressive than any he’d ever received, scrolled through his vision.

"You have successfully initiated the Weaver Control Protocol!"

"Primary User signature confirmed. Assimilating... compatibility at 99.8%. Welcome, User."

"Directly interfacing with a Tier 7 Reality Engine is a monumental feat. You have been awarded +1500 god Points!"

The massive infusion of experience points was more than enough to push him over the edge. A wave of golden light, warmer and more powerful than any level-up he had felt before, erupted from the console and washed over him.

It wasn’t just a simple healing effect; it felt like every cell in his body was being polished, reinforced, and upgraded. His minor aches and pains vanished, and a feeling of immense clarity and strength settled over him.

"Congratulations! You have reached Level 9! All base stats increased by +5! You have gained +3 Flex Essence Points!"

He felt fantastic. It was like leveling up and drinking the universe’s best cup of coffee at the same time. His mind was sharp, his body thrummed with newfound power, and his connection to the Weaver felt deep and intuitive, as if he was born to control it.

At the exact same moment, the second, less pleasant event happened. The Resonance Cascade, the wave of reality-distorting energy that had been building within the Weaver, erupted outwards and slammed into him with the force of a tidal wave.

It was a storm of pure chaos, an overwhelming blast of raw, untamed power that sought to scramble his thoughts, tear apart his focus, and rip him away from the console. Any other person, even a powerful Level 8 player, would have had their mind instantly shattered, their consciousness scattered like dust in the wind.

But Ryan was not any other person. His entire journey had been about dealing with strange, chaotic energies. His SSS-Tier "Ultimate Infinite Extraction System" didn’t just absorb things; it understood them, it processed them.

As the chaotic wave hit him, his system instinctively began to sort it, to categorize it, to tame it. Furthermore, his Spirit stat, now phenomenally high thanks to his new level and gear, acted like an unbreakable anchor in the heart of the hurricane.

He clenched his teeth, chaos buzzing in his head like a swarm of angry bees. But he held on, pouring all his will into one thought: I won’t let go.

His body, now overflowing with Level 9 power, began to emit a soft, golden glow of its own. He wasn’t just being hit by the storm; he was actively absorbing it, riding it.

The Weaver, in turn, seemed to respond to his resilience. Its connection to him deepened, recognizing his incredible ability to handle its raw output. It wasn’t just a machine and a user anymore; they were becoming partners.

Across the chamber, the other factions were having a much, much worse time.

The Resonance Cascade hit them like a physical blow. The well-drilled soldiers of the Crimson Banner stumbled and fell to their knees, clutching their helmets as their high-tech comms screeched with static and their tactical displays filled with gibberish.

The furious Iron Wolves, who relied on pure physical power, were hit the hardest. Their rage-filled minds were no defense against an attack on reality itself. They howled in pain and confusion, their movements becoming clumsy and uncoordinated.

Zara Khan’s beautiful, advanced Precursor-derived gadgets sparked and smoked. Her sonic disruptors let out one final, agonizing shriek before their power cores cracked. The entire battlefield was neutralized in an instant.

Their chaotic three-way battle stopped abruptly. In the haunting silence broken only by the hum of the Cascade and the groans of stunned soldiers, they looked up. And they all saw him.

They saw Ryan Stone, standing tall and unshaken at the main console. They saw him bathed in the golden aura of his level-up, his hands resting calmly on the control pedestal. They saw him not just surviving the Resonance Cascade, but seemingly thriving in it, a calm rock in a sea of chaos.

Most importantly, they saw the ten-minute countdown timer for Sector Governorship still ticking away, and they saw their one and only chance of winning being controlled by the very man they had all underestimated.

The dazed shock on their faces burned away, replaced by a singular, unified emotion: pure, unadulterated rage. They had a common enemy now, and he was about to win the whole game.

"STOP HIM!" Tom Kane roared, his voice raw. He staggered to his feet, pointing a trembling finger at Ryan. "Whatever it takes, whatever the cost, get him away from that console! NOW!"

Viktor "Ironjaw," shaking his massive head to clear the last of the disorienting energy, let out a furious bellow that echoed through the vast chamber. His bloodshot eyes locked onto Ryan. "FORGET THE OTHERS! KILL THE MAN AT THE MACHINE!"

Zara Khan, her face pale but her eyes burning with the fire of a brilliant mind facing failure, rallied her few remaining functional engineers. "Forget defense! All remaining power to offensive systems! Target Stone! Do not let him stabilize that Weaver!"

The fleeting, grudging alliances and the bitter rivalries of moments ago were instantly forgotten. They were united now, by a single, desperate goal.

With a collective roar that shook the very foundations of the Core Chamber, they charged. The remaining, able-bodied forces of the Crimson Banner, the Iron Wolves, and the Circuit Breakers that were enemies just a minute ago, now moved as one terrifying wave of destruction.

They launched a desperate, all-out assault on his position.

A storm of energy bolts, stun nets, sonic blasts, and one very large, very angry barbarian swinging a power axe came hurtling towards him.

The combined firepower of three separate factions was immense, a display of power that could have flattened a small fortress.

Ryan, his mind now sharper and clearer than ever before, watched them come. He was still connected to the Weaver, its immense power flowing through him like a river.

He could feel every attack, see every path, calculate every possibility in an instant. He was outnumbered. He was outgunned. He was the sole target of every powerful person in the room.

And he had never felt more ready for a fight in his life.
