The three guards’ eyes widened as they recalled the description given to them about the leader. A brown, curly hair, a heart-shaped face, and a sharp jawline that made him look old yet young at the same time - the man before them seemed to fit the description perfectly.

They also remembered the distinctive clothes they were told the leader would wear. Though, they were told not to rely so much on that, as it might have been changed before he returned, but surprisingly, the attire that Dave currently had on was the same as the one described to them.

As they pieced together the description and matched it with the man before them, a realization dawned on them. The match was almost perfect, and a sense of dread crept over them.

There must be a reason why he was made the leader, they thought, their minds racing with questions and doubts. And they had came to realize that maybe all of the rumors about him were true after all. They heard of how he had bested all of the powerful people in the merger faction.

Additionally, he had defeated the group of Tai Faction army who had came to attack the base that night. And he had done it so easily, all alone by himself. They couldn’t help but wonder, what kind of monster was he?

As they lifted their heads slightly, they caught glimpses of the people standing behind Dave. The group of people with him seemed to radiate an aura of power, their presence imposing and intimidating. The guards couldn’t help but think of them as minions, loyal only to Dave. And if they were his minions, then it meant they must at least be on an almost similar level to Dave.

The guards’ minds reeled as they imagined what would have happened if they had faced these people. Their fate would have been sealed before they could even realize what they were doing. The thought sent a chill down their spines, and they trembled with fear, their bodies pressed to the ground in submission.
