The party finally came to an end when Silvia collapsed in a drunken stupor. Barry took it upon himself to take her back and Rori tagged along, citing something along the lines of how he wasn’t trustworthy.

Lily had grease on the corner of her lips as she rubbed her bloated belly.

"That was so good~! Luna has to cook more often! I don’t think I can eat anybody else’s cooking ever again."

"Hahaha. Thanks Lily."

Luna chuckled as she cleaned off the table of the empty dishes with Nyx reluctantly helping under the glare of her mentor Roland who had returned to manning the bar. Sonata had gotten over her shame from Silvia’s actions as she hummed a little tune under her breath as she tried to chip in to help.

’So this is what having a family is like. It’s kinda nice’

While not related by blood and only knowing her for a short time, they were there for her without a second thought.

’I wish Father and I could be like this...’

The sudden thought that came to mind was like a bucket of icy water being poured over her good mood. While she was free now, it would eventually come to an end. Her father would never stand for this and he would look for other ways to turn her into his ideal image: A man.

"Hey Son. Why did you stop humming? The tune was pretty nice"

Just as she was about to spiral into darker and darker thoughts, Leo’s sudden question caught her off guard and made her jump. She accidentally tossed a plate up into the air but Leo was able to deftly catch it before it hit the ground.

"Whoa there! Everything good? I didn’t mean to scare you."

He apologized as he placed the plate on a table before returning all of his focus to her. When she looked directly into his emerald green eyes, all that was reflected was sincerity and concern. Who she was outside of this game didn’t matter to him. He didn’t care that she was an idol nor about who her father was, all that mattered to him in that moment was her.

"I-I’m fine"

She muttered, turning her gaze away with a slightly flushed face, Silvia’s remarks earlier also served as a catalyst for Sonata’s mind to spiral in a different direction.

"Are you sure you’re okay? You look like you are burning up!"

Leo asked with some concern on his face as he got a bit closer to her and placed a hand on her forehead.

"Eek?!"

Leo getting closer to her only made Sonata freak out more as she panicked like a little bird as she tried to escape from him as fast as she could.

"S-Sorry! I-I am gonna go check up on Grandma. Yeah that’s right! I’m gonna do that!"

She shouted as she fled, quickly disappearing out the door, leaving Leo stunned. Horo who had observed this whole conversation, was quietly laughing to himself.

’Leo is going to suffer a whole lot more if he acts like this with the ladies~’

’You should not be the one to talk about matters of the heart Little Snake’

’Why? I’m not like this clueless guy...Why are you sighing?!’

’How can one be so Observant but so Blind is beyond even me...’

’I have no idea what you are on about you crazy Spider.’

Arachne’s voice contained immense disappointment and disdain for Horo who had yet to notice just how some of his own actions could be perceived.

"I’m going after her. I want to check up on her!"

Leo shouted as he too ran out the door as if to chase after her. Luna and Nyx were about to say something when Lily raised her hand and shouted.

"Okayy~! Have fun~!"

The two girls immediately glared at Lily who had picked up and started petting Moku who had absolutely gorged himself on Luna’s cooking. He was looking like a little round green ball and could barely walk as everyone at the table had caved to his puppy dog eyes when he begged for scraps.

"Pyuuuuu~!"

He squeaked before passing out then and there on the spot. He began to lightly snore as Lily’s expression turned serious.

"I was looking for a chance to speak to you guys alone. We need to work out a plan."

Luna, Nyx and Horo glanced at each other before looking back at Lily.

"What sort of plan are we talking about here?"

Horo asked with trepidation as he leaned forward in his chair.

"We need to plan for what we are going to do once we return back to reality again."

Lily glanced out the window where the hustle and bustle of players was still ongoing despite it now being late at night. Nyx understood what Lily was getting at but kept quiet as she too was wondering what the other girl was thinking.

"The game has been released to mass audiences now and I have a feeling that what happened to us is not just an isolated incident. We need to be prepared for the eventual reality that these changes are going to affect a part of if not all of society."

Luna felt a chill run down her spine as she recalled the superhuman and supernatural abilities they had been able to showcase themselves so far. Her gaze wandered to Horo whose expression had turned extremely grim.

"That will also mean that those with abilities may turn to crime. Additionally, Large influential families may try to gather these sorts of individuals to form their own private army...or use them for human experimentation."

Nyx too had a frown as the idea of people being used as human guinea pigs made her blood boil. Unable to stand by and do nothing, she immediately stood up and slammed her hands onto the table.

"I will log out and give my Grandfather a call. He may be able to speak to someone higher up in the government and try to get something like a protective law in place. I don’t know how fast they can do that but sooner is better than later right."

Lily nodded her head in affirmation.

"That would be the best course of action. Plus if it comes to the worst case scenario, I can ask my father to help enforce this new law.."

Nyx pursed her lips as she thought about it. Asking a former Mafioso family for help in enforcing something would most likely not be a good thing for their public image.

"Alright then. I am off~! Don’t miss me too much while I am gone~"

Nyx waved with a wink and was about to log out when Horo shouted.

"Wait! Nyx Stop for a second!"

"Huh~? You miss me already Horo~?"

"No, it’s not about that. I just want you to promise us one thing"

"You want me to promise to stop being so fabulous~? Unfortunately I can’t help it. I was born this way~"

"Enough Joking. Promise us that you won’t do anything rash if you find yourself...different... in the real world. Can you do that?"

Nyx flinched at his words. She was in actuality absolutely terrified of what she would find when she returned. She lowered her head, unable to answer for the longest time. That was until Luna placed a hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner.

"No matter what happens, we will be there for you...Okay? Whether I like it or not, you are one of us now. So do what you gotta do and come back to us. Alright?!"

Luna looked a little embarrassed to be comforting Nyx as she didn’t dare look at her directly. However, Nyx was able to feel the care in her words and unconsciously hugged her. Unlike the other times she showed physical affection, the intent behind it was entirely pure.

"Thank you..."

Nyx whispered before she turned back to the others trying to soothe them with her trademark smile yet Horo and Lily recognized the fear hidden deep in her eyes.

"Well I will be back soon guys~! Ciao for now~"

And with that, Nyx took a deep breath before she disappeared into particles of light.

She had logged off.
