"Calories.....Sugar...Carbs....Foood!"

"Leo...if we die today, I just wanna say...This is so fucking stupid!"

Horo and Leo found themselves clinging to each other, trembling in fear as the 4 girls in the group had dangerous expressions as they mumbled stuff about food repeatedly as if it was some sort of mantra.

Leo could feel his teeth chattering as even his sister Luna who had always fiercely protected him looked like an emotionless Demon Queen as she mumbled.

’Me and my big mouth! Why did I have to mention the not getting fat thing? Better yet, why the hell are they acting like this!’

’Lil Snake....You know nothing of a Maiden’s heart nor any of their plights. You deserve your fate.’

’Dear God in Heaven. Anyone! Please find a way for us to live through this!’

Leo closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, desperately praying to any god who would hear his plea to save the boys from their predicament.

A squeaky howl cut through the food mantra, causing all of the girls to turn their murderous gaze towards the source of the noise.

There, they saw Moku sitting innocently, panting with his back to the pile of loot that Enkiba had dropped.

Whether it was the cuteness or the reminder that there was loot to sort through, Luna was the first to regain her senses. She looked at the other girls whose eyes were a little hollow. She snapped her fingers repeatedly until everyone’s eyes regained focus.

"Okay Girls. We can obsess over food when we get out of here. First we need to divy up the loot. Leo you’re up....Wait a second...are you crying? Horo too?! What happened?!"

"We’re....saved?!"

Leo’s tears cascaded down his cheeks as he stared at Moku as if he was his life’s saviour. Horo was next to him, his head bowed and hands clasped together as he let out a small silent prayer.

’Praise be Moku! Hallowed be thy Cuteness!’

Arachne couldn’t help but feel slightly vexed and frustrated that Horo had gotten off lightly but was stunned into amused silence at the absurd prayer her host was uttering in his heart.

It took about five minutes of consoling from Luna for Leo to regain his composure enough to stand and start divvying out the loot. Even still, Leo felt his cheeks were slightly flushed from the embarrassment of being that scared.

Sorting through the pile of loot took a few minutes, but after collecting the coins and potions that Enkiba dropped, there were a dozen items left. Most of them were Crafting Materials. However there were 6 items that stood out.

The first was a Massive Glaive. It had a crimson tinge to the blade but it was ridiculously heavy. He strained himself to try and lift it. It was far too impractical for use so after deliberation, he decided that it should be sold to fund their activities.

The 2nd item was a long slender Odachi with flame patterns etched into the grip. The detailed patterns made it look beautiful but there was in fact nobody who actually used swords in their group. In the end, this too was going to be sold.

The third item was a bit more interesting. It was a Longbow. Leo glanced at the details of the weapon, surprise washing over him on just how good this item was.

While the defence debuff was not ideal, it wouldn’t really matter for the individual he decided would be able to make the best use of it. Turning to Sonata, he handed the bow over to her, much to her surprise.

But after thinking about it for a moment, it actually did make sense for her to have it. She was one of the two true backliners of the group and in comparison to Lily, her ’physique’ was more optimized for archery...even if it was only by a little bit.

Sonata glanced at the bow before shooting a quick glance at Lily’s chest and then at her own. She grit her teeth and clicked her tongue in frustration as she couldn’t help but feel that she had lost a battle for her feminine pride.

Luna tilted her head and narrowed her eyes with suspicion when Sonata’s agitation changed to one of serenity after glancing towards her. Had the bard stared at her chest and felt better about herself?!

Quickly trying to avoid any possibility of a potential meltdown, Leo quickly grabbed the next item. It was a crystal similar to that of the one that Onikiba had dropped earlier. While he could grant an ego to an item, none of their current equipment would be suitable.

However he had a feeling that this could be used in another way and his hunch turned out to be correct. Once he got closer to Luna who had discreetly pulled out Kogetsukiba, the crystal shattered into dust before silently getting sucked up into the blade of the axe.

’GRRRRR!’

’Oh~? Good morning sleepyhead!’

Luna felt a surge of power course through her arm as a loud growl echoed in her mind.It seemed her weapons ego had awoken. Her eyes began to sparkle as she wordlessly began to try and communicate with it .

The fifth item was a mysterious vial, much like the one that Leo had drunk before. Leo clearly did not want to drink this one and immediately handed it to Horo who also appeared to be reluctant to do so. For now he decided to pocket the concoction and drink it when they were out of the cave and back in the village.

The sixth and seventh item were a cause for concern though. The reason was due to their ominous nature. One of the items was a skillbook wrapped in black leather with illegible words scrawled into its surface. Without knowing what it could do, it was possible that it would be detrimental to whoever used it.

The final item though caused the hair on Leo’s back to rise up as his danger sense screamed at him that using this item now was a terrible idea.

The final item was a Key...to the Hidden Dungeon.
