Sins Of Her Venom
Chapter 97: Her Grip, My Ruin

Chapter 97: Her Grip, My Ruin

-Glyndon Walton:

For a long moment, I just stared at Alex, processing his words.

He had been cheating on me.

With Malakai.

Kat’s brother.

He’s gay just like me?

The irony of it all nearly made me laugh.

I let out a slow breath, shaking my head. "I guess it’s only fair to forgive you," I admitted. "Since I was cheating on you with Kathrine."

Kat, of course, found this hilarious. She let out a low chuckle, tilting her head as she smirked. "Isn’t this just the sweetest?" she mused. "You both were each other’s gay awakening."

Alex immediately rolled his eyes. "She wasn’t my gay awakening, maybe I turned her off but I have always found her attractive." he corrected, looking downright offended. "I’m bi, not gay. I enjoyed my relationship with Glyndon, thank you very much. But I... love Kai."

His voice softened a little on the last part, and I swore I could see the tiniest hint of a smile tug at his lips.

Kathrine, however, was unimpressed. She snorted. "Out of all the people in the world, you had to fuck my brother?"

Alex shot her a flat look. "And you had to fuck my ex girlfriend, the girl who was supposed to be my future wife when she was still dating me?"

Kathrine smirked. "Touché."

He let out an exhausted sigh, running a hand through his hair. "God, you two are impossible."

Kathrine grinned. "And yet, here you are."

I couldn’t help but laugh. The whole thing was ridiculous. It should’ve been a mess. It was a mess. And yet, somehow, I felt... lighter. Like we had all just come full circle.

Alex huffed but shook his head in amusement before glancing around cautiously. Then, lowering his voice, he muttered, "Just... don’t tell anyone about me and Kai, alright?"

Kathrine raised a brow. "I don’t give a fuck about Malakai’s secrets."

Alex gave her a deadpan look. "It’s not his secret. Malakai doesn’t care if people know." His jaw tightened slightly. "I’m the one who doesn’t want anyone finding out yet."

That made Kathrine pause, she already knew that.

For a moment, she just studied him, her usual snarky expression flickering with something else—something I couldn’t quite read. Then, surprisingly, she just shrugged. "Fine. Not my problem. If he wants to keep hiding his true identity for you, then so be it."

I nodded. "Your secret’s safe with me, Alex."

He let out a breath, shoulders relaxing slightly. "Thanks, Glyn. You are still my best friend even if we broke up, that’s never going to change."

And with that, the weird tension that had been between us finally faded, leaving something easier. Something that, oddly enough, felt like closure.

Kathrine crossed her arms and fixed Alex with a glare so sharp it could cut glass. Her lip curled in disgust as she leaned in slightly, voice dropping to a venomous whisper, though she didn’t care who overheard.

"You do realize that even though you’re in love with my brother, even if you fucking marry him, I’m still going to bully the shit out of you, right? I don’t care. I don’t give a single fuck," she sneered. "I will call you a fag until the day I fucking die, Alex. I hate you. I hate your guts. And I hope you and Malakai break up because my brother deserves so much more than you. So much better. He deserves someone who is going to be proud to have him not hide him from the public." She scoffed, her voice dripping with disgust as she spat out the last words. "Fuck you. Actually, I hope you die and leave my brother alone."

For a moment, silence settled over the table. The cafeteria noise seemed distant like the world had shrunk down to just the three of them. I stiffened beside her, glancing between them with wide eyes, but Alex?

Alex just stared at Kathrine, unblinking.

Then, he let out a slow, measured breath and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. He didn’t look angry. He didn’t look hurt. If anything, he looked tired.

"Right," he muttered. "Of course. Because you’re just so fucking mature, Kat."

His voice was calm, too calm, which only made Kathrine’s blood boil hotter.

Alex tilted his head, regarding her like she was some sad, predictable little thing he had already figured out. "You know," he continued, voice almost conversational, "for someone who acts like she doesn’t give a fuck, you sure are obsessed with me."

Her jaw clenched. "Excuse me?"

"I mean, let’s think about it," Alex went on, as if he hadn’t just poked a bear. "You’re mad that I’m dating your brother—like, furious about it. But you also hate me, right? You don’t care what I do, right? So why the fuck do you care so much about what Malakai and I do together?" He smirked, tilting his head. "Unless, deep down, you’re just pissed that I got him, and you didn’t get to control it."

Kat slammed her hands on the table so hard that I jumped beside her. "Shut the fuck up, Alex, Kai deserve better." she snapped, eyes flashing with pure, unchecked rage.

Alex just smiled, unfazed. "Hit a nerve?"

Kat was seething. Her breathing was ragged, her nails dug into the table so hard her knuckles turned white.

I, still stiff and tense, suddenly moved. I grabbed her arm, my fingers firm around her wrist.

"Enough, stop fighting." I muttered, voice sharp and serious.

She turned to me, furious and ready to lash out, but then she saw the look in my eyes. It wasn’t anger. It wasn’t an annoyance. It was pleading.

"Just stop," I said, softer this time. "Please, Kat."

Her lips parted, but no words came out.

She exhaled sharply through her nose, ripped her arm out of my grip, and continued eating

Alex, still sitting at the table, watched us talk and let out a long, exasperated sigh before rolling his eyes.

"Damn. You’re welcome for the entertainment, cafeteria," he muttered under his breath. Then, shaking his head, he picked up his drink and took a slow sip.

As Alex smirked and started to stand, thinking he had the upper hand, Kat moved faster.

Her hand shot out, gripping his wrist in a way that made him freeze mid-motion. Then, with zero effort, she yanked him back down into his seat. I watched, wide-eyed, as his smirk faltered, replaced by something that looked a hell of a lot like unease.

Kat leaned in, her voice dropping into something low and deadly. "First of all, Don’t ever call me Kat again. Second of all, Don’t forget who has your pictures. Picture that can ruin your whole entire life, Alexander King."

I swear, I saw the blood drain from Alex’s face.

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed, his whole body locking up like he’d just been thrown into an ice bath. That cocky, arrogant attitude? Gone. Like it had never existed in the first place.

Kat let the silence stretch, her grip tightening just enough to make sure he felt it. Then she smirked—sharp, cold, ruthless.

"So," she murmured, dragging out the word, " be a good boy, and don’t let your big-ass mouth spout shit in front of me. Let it do what it does best, suck my brother’s dick, and shut it up when I’m around."

Holy shit.

Alex’s jaw clenched so tight I thought his teeth might crack, but he didn’t say a word. He couldn’t.

"Now," Kat continued, finally releasing him, leaning back with the confidence of someone who knew they had won. "Get out of my sight... Faggot."

For a moment, Alex just sat there, fists clenched on the table, his entire body rigid. He looked like he wanted to say something, maybe throw one last weak insult, but he didn’t.

Instead, he shoved back his chair, stood up, straightened his uniform with jerky movements, and stormed off without another word.

I let out a breath I hadn’t even realized I was holding.

Kat, looking completely unbothered, just picked up her drink and took a slow sip, watching Alex disappear into the crowd like he was nothing.

"Fucking finally," she muttered, sounding almost bored.

I shivered. And not out of fear.

I sat there, my pulse still thrumming from what I’d just witnessed.

Kat had always been cruel. Sharp-tongued. Unapologetic. But this? This was something else entirely.

She had Alex—Alex King—completely in her grip, his confidence shattered in a matter of seconds. And the worst part? I think she liked it.

I swallowed hard, still staring at the spot where Alex had been sitting just moments ago.

My mind spun, trying to process everything. The blackmail. The power shift.

The fact that Kat had just ended him with nothing more than a few words and a look that could cut through steel.

I should have been disgusted. I should have been afraid.

But I wasn’t.

I was fucking turned on.

Kat turned her gaze on me then, her sharp green eyes flicking over my face, assessing. My breath hitched when she smirked—slow and knowing, like she could read every thought running through my head.

"Something on your mind, Glyndon?" she drawled, tilting her head, her fingers tapping idly against the table.

I opened my mouth, but no words came out. Because what the fuck was I supposed to say?

That I liked watching her tear people apart?

I liked knowing she could do the same to me, and I still wanted her.

I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be terrified of her or obsessed with her.

Kat let out a low, amused hum, clearly enjoying my reaction. She leaned forward, resting her elbow on the table, her chin on her palm, and smirked.

"You’re staring."

I blinked, realizing too late that I had been. Heat crawled up my neck, but I refused to look away.

"You’re scary," I muttered, trying to sound annoyed instead of completely wrecked by whatever the hell she was doing to me.

Kat grinned, all teeth. "And yet, you’re still here."

I clenched my jaw. "Shut up."

She chuckled. "Make me."

I inhaled sharply. Dangerous territory.

Her gaze dipped, dragging over my face, and my lips, before flicking back up to meet my eyes again. There was something dark in her expression—something hungry.

I knew, right then and there, that if I made a move, she wouldn’t stop me.

But before I could do anything—before I could act on the overwhelming urge to grab her, to kiss her until I couldn’t breathe—someone called Kat’s name from across the cafeteria.

She exhaled, slow and sharp, before rolling her eyes and leaning back.

"Looks like we’ll have to finish this later," she murmured, standing up and stretching like she hadn’t just sent my entire fucking brain into a meltdown.

I sat there, fists clenched in my lap, trying to regulate my breathing.

And as Kat walked away, I realized something.

I was so fucking screwed.
