Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon -
Chapter 769 - 769: 766: Tangible Killing Intent
When it came to killing intent, Corey would not dare rate himself so highly amongst every other Tier 3 in his Universe because he had never gone on a slaughter, engaged in a war, and he had never been so angry to the point that he would lose control and emit every single bit of killing intent he had in him on an individual.
Although he dared not to rate the quality and intensity of his killing intent so highly, he knew that the quality of his killing intent was not low at all.
And the reason for this was because of the simulation room in his Perceptual Nexus Repository.
The simulation room in his Perceptual Nexus Repository was one of the functions of his Perceptual Nexus Repository that was always functioning.
He was constantly refining his skills, abilities, powers, and combat prowess in the simulation room by creating clones that performed all of this with his Stars of Consciousness.
One of this clones was tasked with refining and learning about killing intent. It was always engaged in combat... unfavorable combat situations.
For example, fighting against ten peak Tier 6s, fighting against a million peak Tier 4s, a thousand peak Tier 5s, and so on and so forth.
It was always placed in a perpetual state of battle, and although it usually died, it always found ways to refine and sharpen his killing intent to make it more deadly and terrifying.
Doing this helped Corey's killing intent to reach a realm of what some would call... Tangibility.
Pope Arzhel and Tessa were in a state of shock and disbelief when they saw the frightening bloody aura that surrounded Corey's body as he was lying on the ground with a bloody hole in his stomach and a large cut on his chest.
They could see Corey's violet-blue eyes emitting a tinge of red as he stared at the Pope along with the floor around Corey slowly turning into a bloody molten liquid.
"What the-?" Tessa mumbled in disbelief and confusion.
Meanwhile, Pope Arzhel's eyes glowed with interest and also confusion as he stared at Corey like he was a piece of an interesting experiment.
"Do I know you from somewhere? I believe we've never met before, Smile Reaper?"
Corey remained silent and merely stared at Pope Arzhel without blinking or saying a single word for ten seconds.
"Well, this is awkward."
Pope Arzhel looked at Tessa, and his gaze landed on her severed arm for a second before shifting to the hole in Corey's stomach and the sword cut on Corey's chest.
He furrowed his brows slightly, "He did this?" He asked while pointing at Tessa's severed arm.
Tessa glanced at her right arm with a dark expression, and then she nodded slightly.
"Hmm..." Pope Arzhel stroked his chin with an intrigued light in his eyes as he stared at Corey whose killing intent was still on full display.
'From the reports that were given by the Underworld, I knew that he was extremely talented and powerful... But for him to hurt Tessa this much... That means that his depths were never really explored by the Underworld.'
'And his killing intent... His killing intent has reached a realm that even some Immortals struggle to reach...'
'But... I never read anything in the reports about him committing a lot of murders or him engaging in multiple battles in the Underworld... In fact, he always skipped his scheduled fights in the Underworld Amphitheatre.'
'So, how was he able to attain a tangible killing intent?'
"Interesting... Very interesting indeed."
Pope Arzhel glanced at Tessa, and she instantly saw a gaze that was her source of nightmares every single night and even day.
A gaze of madness and desire.
She had seen that gaze countless times, and she could not help but subconsciously tremble and take a step back in fear.
"Tell me. What made you to engage in a fight with him?"
Knowing that wasting a single second would grant her a fate worse than death, she responded in a heartbeat.
"At the end of the chains you told me to investigate was a bronze coffin. The bronze coffin was first protected by an extremely powerful illusion that took me time to unravel, but when I did, I saw it. And then I saw him appearing outside the coffin some seconds later."
The light of madness and desire glowed brighter and brighter in the eyes of the Pope with every single word that Tessa said, and by the end of it, Pope Arzhel was staring at Corey with the gaze of a starving predator.
Pure desire and madness.
"You're coming with me."
He said nothing else, but the moment Corey heard these words, a chill instantly crawled across his body.
Without hesitation, Corey executed his plan to escape.
Despite every fiber of his body, soul, and spirit wanting to take the head and heart of the Pope, Corey knew that losing himself to his killing intent and anger was foolish.
Fighting both Tessa and Pope Arzhel in his current condition was foolish, and if he died during the fight, he would not be able to save his sister.
He groaned, and with a deep exhale, he released his killing intent, causing the Pope to raise a brow.
Without saying a single word, Corey summoned an item. An item he stole from the vault of the Underworld Emporium but hadn't used at all because he had no use of it... Until now.
The Aerofoil Relics
[The metallic wings, known as the "Aerofoil Relics," are a mysterious and captivating artifact of ancient origin. Crafted from a lustrous, silver-hued metal that gleams like the moon on a clear night, these wings possess an otherworldly beauty that belies their advanced technology.
Each wing is intricately designed, with slender, feather-like segments that overlap and articulate, mimicking the graceful structure of avian wings. The smooth, cool-to-the-touch surface is adorned with delicate etchings and engravings, reminiscent of ancient scripts and symbols. The wings are surprisingly lightweight despite their metallic composition, and they emit a faint, soft hum when touched, as if they hold a secret melody within.
The Aerofoil Relics are said to possess extraordinary powers. When attached to a specially designed harness, they can be worn by a brave adventurer. With a mere thought and a subtle shift of intention, the wings unfurl, their segments aligning perfectly. As they extend, a soft, iridescent glow emanates from the metal, casting an enchanting, ethereal light that seems to bend and dance around the wearer. Once activated, these wings grant the wearer the gift of flight, allowing them to soar through the skies with grace and freedom, as if they were born to be a part of the heavens.
Legends suggest that the Aerofoil Relics were created by a long-lost civilization, a testament to their technological prowess and their deep connection to the natural world. Their true purpose remains shrouded in mystery, leaving adventurers and archaeologists alike to uncover the secrets hidden within the metallic wings, and to experience the awe-inspiring sensation of taking flight like a majestic bird.]
