Rise of the Harem King -
Chapter 34: Professor Wein
Chapter 34: Professor Wein
A surge of powerful energy filled Davi, making him feel as though the battles of the day had never even occurred. The force flowed through his veins, revitalizing him with an intensity he had never known.
He then took a deep breath, activating his ability. His soul burned with hatred and a desire for more power. He concentrated his power more and more. Once again, he needed only one attack to destroy his enemy once and for all.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Davi focused, searching within himself for all the power he had. He knew it would push his body to its limits, but he could no longer hesitate.
When he opened his eyes, Davi smiled in a terrifying way.
Flames began to erupt from his body, his nails shifting into sharp claws as wolf ears materialized on his head. As he activated both his beast transformation and Ifrit simultaneously, the strain on his body intensified, pushing him to the brink.
At the same time, he made his mana concentrate on the blade he carried in his hand. The weapon trembled, its structure threatening to snap, but it didn’t matter; he was willing to sacrifice everything for a powerful attack.
Then, with a roar of pure, unrelenting fury, he surged forward, his body a blur of flame and force. Each step was a violent crash, the ground beneath him trembling as he charged toward the beast with the speed of a predator. His sword gleamed with a deadly light, ready to strike.
Unexpectedly, the monster didn’t want to attack, but rather flee. It could feel that, in this situation, it had become the prey. And as any pray, he chose to run.
However, he was no match for Davi’s speed. The boy appeared in front of the monster in the blink of an eye, his movement a blur of deadly precision. With a furious roar, he attacked.
With the first strike, flames spread everywhere as Davi tore a huge gash into the creature’s chest. The monster felt pain and tried to retaliate as best it could, but it was too slow.
In the next instant, Davi had severed one of the monster’s arms and smiled confidently as he prepared for the final strike.
However, that monster was a true masterpiece. Roaring, it managed to stop its bleeding as its power began to accumulate.
The beast’s claw collided with the boy’s sword, unleashing a violent shockwave that rippled through the air, shattering the ground beneath them and sending debris flying in every direction.
Then the beast swung its guard, trying to strike the boy in a genuinely fast attack, but it was still insufficient.
With a display of flawless combat skill, the boy swiftly evaded and struck with surgical precision, slicing through the creature’s tail. The beast howled in agony once more, its pain echoing through the air.
Despite all that, the boy soon felt himself nearing his limit. Facing the monster had forced him to tap into every ounce of power he possessed.
Then just as he was about to strike one final blow, the enemy before him vanished. Not only that, but everything around him faded away.
"Roar!"
Davi heard a deafening roar. Surrounding him were dozens of monsters, each as fierce as the one he had just faced.
An overwhelming scent of blood flooded his nostrils.

Davi vanished into the air.
Before him, Aden saw something unbelievable. His friend, who had been battling the powerful monster just moments ago, had disappeared.
However, despite its severe wounds, the beast continued to roar with undeniable ferocity. It quickly realized it was no longer the prey, standing tall and proud, ready to destroy its enemies.
With no time to worry about Davi, the boy immediately assessed the situation. Lara was still unconscious, and fleeing didn’t seem like an option at that moment.
Seeing the monster advance toward him, he made the only decision he could in that instant.
He sighed one last time, then stared at the creature, stealing his mind for what was to come. Inevitably, his chest tightened, and he felt a flicker of fear, but he chased away those emotions with a brave smile.
"I’m the prodigy, the human shield, I’m not falling here!" He shouted to himself, trying to fake a confidence he didn’t really have.
His eyes glowed, and his body was enveloped in a bluish aura, while his skin took on a metallic sheen. Before the first strike could land, he surrounded himself with a mana shield.
Finally, he used his attraction ability, drawing the creature’s full attention toward him.
Even without offensive power, the boy knew he could win, as long as he could endure. Sharpening his determination, he faced the beast, ready to withstand the worst of hell itself.
With a deafening roar, the beast charged, its massive claws aiming to crush him. Aden planted his feet firmly, every muscle in his body tensed, preparing to withstand the devastating force of the creature.
The first strike was brutal. The creature’s claw descended with immense force, slamming into its opponent and driving him violently into the ground.
Under the crushing weight of the blow, Aden felt his body teetering on the brink of collapse. His muscles screamed in agony, and his bones creaked, each one straining to endure the overwhelming pressure.
Still, he dug his feet into the ground and stood firm, enduring the full power of the creature. He knew he couldn’t fall; he had to hold on, no matter what.
The monster recoiled momentarily, as if frustrated by the unexpected resistance. Then it roared even louder, determined to destroy this obstacle.
Then, the beast lunged with a speed that defied its massive size. Its claws tore through the air like a hot knife through butter, shattering the boy’s left leg in an instant.
Overcome with pain, Aden couldn’t move an inch to dodge as the monster’s teeth closed in. He was caught in the creature’s fierce bite.
Struggling to hold onto his resolve, he fought against the creature’s crushing jaws. His muscles were on the brink of failure, and his mind screamed for him to surrender, but pushing beyond the limits of body and soul was what a true warrior did. Shoving aside his weak thoughts, he let out a roar and continued to resist.
Fortunately, he won that battle of endurance, and the monster was forced to spit him out, sending him flying. Even so, the beast, now stumbling and weakened, was not ready to accept defeat.
The creature’s blood poured onto the ground in torrents, each aggressive movement draining it further of its strength.
Yet, Aden was no better off.
Blood soaked his torn body, his leg shattered beyond recognition, and with every breath, his body screamed in agony. Pushed to the absolute brink, he could barely summon the strength to move.
What followed was a scene from hell. The beast continued to attack, wildly swinging its claws, desperate to at least kill the boy before it.
Amidst the sounds of growls and painful grunts, the monster pressed on. At the same time, Aden felt his consciousness slipping away. He had lost too much blood, and his body was overwhelmed by excruciating pain.
For the next 30 seconds, which felt like a lifetime to him, the monster continued to attack desperately, but with each strike, its strength dwindled.
At last, the beast crumpled to the ground with a deafening roar, its body utterly spent, unable to rise again. The once-mighty creature, now broken and defeated, lay motionless, its ferocity extinguished.
Seeing this, the boy dragged his battered body through that hellish landscape. He felt his vision getting darker, as his consciousness was starting to fade.
He gritted his teeth, fighting with every ounce of willpower to stay conscious. He knew surrender wasn’t an option, not yet. He just had to endure a little longer.
He dragged himself through that hell, feeling every muscle in his body scream. Then he gathered the many coins left behind by Luís’s followers who had given up. Finally, he crawled over to where Lara’s unconscious body lay.
Almost completely drained, he got closer to Lara and used the coins he had collected to pay for their escape from that cursed place.
Thus, the two passed the second phase of the exam.
Alexia, who had been left behind, woke up shortly after, only to find the horrifying scene before her.
By then, Zack had long since disappeared from that place. For the next few days, he would remain hidden, slinking through the shadows.
Sophia naturally passed the test with ease, but she was frustrated because the man she had been expecting was nowhere to be found.
After using her ability to fully regenerate Davi, she collapsed in exhaustion. When she woke up, she only knew that the dragon had been defeated, that her brother and a few others had advanced, leaving only Alexia behind.
Did he really go ahead without me?
The girl’s soul was filled with indignation, though for many reasons, she was mistaken.
