Rise of the Apocalypse Hunter With Hand Transformation Skill -
Chapter 32: A Rabbit
Chapter 32: A Rabbit
"Hahaha, I can fly now!"
"Damn it, what kind of skill is this? Totally useless!"
"Why another defensive skill? I want an offensive one!"
Various shouts echoed outside the classroom as the students received their third skills.
But for Liam, he simply smiled faintly.
Who would guess how people would react if they knew what kind of skill he had just obtained?
Now, he only needed to unleash a single attack—and that same attack would continue endlessly until the target was dead.
It was kind of ridiculous. No wonder it was considered SS Tier.
Liam glanced at Melly, who wasn’t too far from him, frowning as if confused.
"What skill did you get?" Liam asked, noticing her odd reaction.
"I don’t know... it says I can transform into a rabbit," the woman replied in a somewhat soft voice.
"At least it’s not a monkey," Liam said after hearing that.
Her expression made sense now—the skill she got only allowed her to turn into a rabbit.
She was probably wondering what use such a skill could possibly have.
Melly rolled her eyes at Liam’s monkey comment, too annoyed to respond.
"Why don’t you try it out?" Liam suggested.
At his suggestion, Melly nodded, and then her body emitted a white light as she underwent a rapid transformation.
In an instant, a giant rabbit appeared in front of Liam—about the size of a sedan.
It was white with blue stripes, had long upright ears, and glowing blue eyes.
From any angle, it just looked... adorable.
Aside from its size, there was nothing about the rabbit that looked like it could fight.
"Damn it!" the rabbit cursed, its mouth speaking with Melly’s exact voice.
She then reverted to her human form, looking as if she wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry.
"It suits you," Liam said.
"What do you mean it suits me? Rabbits can’t do anything but run," Melly replied irritably, clearly frustrated.
"What about your skill?" she asked after that, curious about his third one.
"Basically, it makes me stronger," Liam replied, without explaining the details of the skill.
There was no need to say it—he could just show it.
"How do you keep getting skills that make you stronger?" Melly asked after hearing that.
She didn’t seem to doubt his words, since so far, he had consistently proven himself stronger than others.
"I think maybe it matches our personalities. Although I’m not sure what connection there is between a flirt and a rabbit, I do think it fits," Liam replied.
He’d been thinking about it and believed that skills probably did align with their owner’s personality—unless they were skills acquired externally.
Melly pouted at his comment, clearly annoyed by how obviously he was teasing her.
However, she then let out a soft snort, flipping her reddish hair back.
"So what if that’s the case? Aren’t you tempted? There’s no difference between a seductress and the man who gets seduced," she said confidently, approaching him while unbuttoning her shirt again, revealing even her bra.
"So when do you want it? Now or tonight?" she asked once she was standing in front of him.
"But I must admit, you’re kind of irresistible the way you stay so calm even in the middle of intense desire. You know, most guys in this school can’t hide it when they look at me—especially that Anthony. I can’t believe I actually took his bread yesterday. I must’ve been going crazy from the stress of this disaster."
She kept talking as her hands wrapped around Liam’s neck again, her shirt already halfway open.
"Tonight. Right now, I just want to fight," Liam replied expressionlessly before turning and walking out of the classroom.
To him, this was just one of the pleasures the world now offered because of his success in this new era.
But he knew that fighting was still the most important thing. That pleasure came because he had become stronger. If he stopped fighting and growing stronger, those pleasures would vanish.
Melly kept smiling and casually followed him, buttoning her shirt back up as she walked.
The area around the school could now be considered fully secure. The students were all busy testing their third skills.
At first, only Joel had a wing-type skill, but now Liam saw four other students who had similar abilities, though with different types of wings.
One of them was Lisa. She now had actual wings growing from her back—real wings, unlike Joel’s, which were made of swirling wind.
However, Liam couldn’t say which was better.
Lisa retracted her wings when she saw Liam and Melly approaching.
After what she had seen between them, her view of them seemed to have changed somehow.
And Melly, for her part, looked too lazy to greet Lisa, even though they had recently grown closer.
But truthfully, their personalities and interests had always been different—they were never meant to become close in the first place.
Lisa wasn’t Liam’s main focus right now. His attention was drawn to Anthony, who stood atop the fortress.
He now looked like a fire monster, able to create a massive flaming figure over seven meters tall.
The figure resembled an armored knight, holding two flaming swords—likely a result of Anthony’s second skill.
The students were awestruck by his appearance.
Compared to him, Joel looked kind of ridiculous—his new ability only allowed him to spew smoke.
It didn’t seem particularly useful, even though the smoke he released was quite thick.
"Liam, what’s your third skill?" asked Alex, who came up to him with a new look—his body now covered in some kind of bone armor, and he had grown to over three meters tall.
"You’ll see it later. By the way, have you seen Carlos?" Liam replied.
He hadn’t seen the kid and was curious about his new ability.
Carlos had already shown both red and purple lightning, each of them incredibly powerful. Liam wondered if his third skill was even stronger.
"That kid’s in the warehouse with his girlfriend. He hasn’t shown his third skill yet," Alex answered.
"Anyway, things are getting kind of quiet around here. How about we head somewhere else? I heard Business Street is packed with survivors. I’m kind of curious about it—but I’d rather go if you’re coming too," he added.
