Return Of The Supreme Beast Tamer
Chapter 175: Great Supreme King

Chapter 175: Great Supreme King

Half an hour later, Christopher sat on the ground, blood trickling down his face from a gash on his forehead. His gaze remained fixed on the disintegrating beast before him.

"If I hadn’t used a hundred clones, I would have died," he muttered, watching as the beast’s particles dissolved into light and drifted towards a distant wall. "I thought I was strong, but it seems... I’m still weak. If Tiamat wasn’t with me, I don’t think I would have won even with five hundred clones."

The blue glow in his hair vanished, and Tiamat materialized beside him. "You’re injured," she observed, gesturing towards his forehead.

"Don’t worry about that, it will heal," he replied, pushing himself to his feet.

Tiamat watched, a faint sigh in her mind, as the injury on his face began to close. In less than ten seconds, the gaping scar was gone, leaving no trace.

’Why did I bother?’ she mused silently.

Christopher stopped before the wall and placed his palm against it. To their astonished gazes, the wall crumbled to the ground, revealing a hidden chamber beyond.

".....?!!"

The two exchanged a look, and with a deep breath, they stepped inside.

WHOOSH!

Christopher and Tiamat instinctively looked over their shoulders, only to find nothing but a solid wall where the opening had been.

"Welcome."

They both snapped their heads forward, their eyes landing on a figure seated on a dark, imposing throne.

"Is that a wolf?" Christopher asked, a hint of confusion in his voice, his hand tightening around the hilt of his sword.

"Hold on," Tiamat interjected, stopping him. She stared intently at the figure on the throne. "I can’t sense its life force or level... which means this beast before us is a lot stronger than me..."

"...Huh?!" Christopher was stunned into silence.

"Yes... I don’t think I would even stand a chance at my peak. The energy around it is foreign, completely dark... This wolf’s power is as deep as the abyss," she said, her gaze fixed on the wolf with complete vigilance.

’Even at your peak?! You’re an immortal at your peak! And you can’t stand a chance?!’ Christopher screamed inwardly, then voiced his thought:

"What about with the other spirits?"

"I meant together! I alone won’t last two rounds!" Tiamat hissed at him, then added in a whispered aside, "We must be careful; if you die, I die... Remember that."

Christopher nodded grimly and addressed the wolf. "Who are you?! Or... what are you?!" he demanded, staring at the crimson wolf, which possessed two huge, leathery dragon wings.

The werewolf raised a hand and clenched its fist. "This is just a fragment of my soul, and you are this scared," it stated, its gaze sweeping over the two of them.

"Frag... Fragment??!!"

Christopher and Tiamat were horrified. ’If a fragment is stronger than an Immortal-level tamer, then how strong is this red werewolf?’ Christopher thought, then opened his mouth. "You look just like Reaper, just remove the wings."

"Reaper?" The werewolf raised an eyebrow. "That’s my name."

"....?!!!"

Christopher was speechless.

"I am not your beast. I am the Calamity of the Abyssal... The loyal subordinate of the Supreme Ruler of Ten Realms." The werewolf’s voice resonated with an ancient power.

"Supreme Ruler of Ten Realms?" Tiamat frowned, lost in thought.

"What happened? Do you know this ruler?" Christopher asked, looking at her.

"My master is unrivaled in all the realms, standing at the peak of life... She as the guardian of this small world should have heard of him," Reaper continued, ignoring Christopher’s question to Tiamat.

"This?!"

Tiamat’s eyes widened in horror, shock, admiration, and surprise. In less than ten seconds, countless emotions flickered across her face. Before Christopher could even process what was happening, Tiamat dropped to her knees and bowed her head to the werewolf.

"Seeing the Supreme King’s first subordinate is an honor!" she yelled, her voice filled with reverence.

".....?!!"

Now Christopher was even more confused. "Why are you bowing for a Beast?!" he yelled at her.

"My disciple, this isn’t a beast... He is known as Reaper, the first subordinate of the great Supreme Ruler... Now I know why I can’t measure his strength; he is beyond my level," she explained, her voice hushed.

"Great Supreme Ruler?! Why am I hearing of such a person now?! If you know of any Supreme Ruler, why didn’t you say anything?" he pressed, frustration mounting.

"I didn’t know we would encounter such a being in our world," Tiamat said, adding, "Quickly, show your respect."

"Show my respect? He’s just a subordinate. Why would I show my respect to a subordinate? Let this Supreme Ruler meet me in person, then we will talk!" Christopher retorted with a defiant frown.

"Oh... Someone is arrogant... Even Zeus, the God of Thunder, and Erebus, the Primordial of Night, wouldn’t dare utter such words," the werewolf said coldly, and raised one claw.

An ordinary stick flew from a corner of the chamber and shot towards Christopher.

"You think I’m scared of a stick?!"

Christopher pointed a finger at the approaching stick, and a blast of ice shot forth.

BOOOM!

His ice attack instantly shattered into countless pieces, while the stick continued its trajectory straight towards him.

"Fuck!!"

He quickly created twenty clones and sent them all forward to intercept.

BOOOM!!

The stick shattered all the clones in rapid succession, and Christopher spurted out a mouthful of blood from the backlash of his dead clones.

"This?!"

He looked up, seeing the stick now hovering inches from his forehead. One more move, and his head would burst apart.

"So weak... I wonder why my Master chose you." Reaper lowered his hand, and the stick harmlessly fell to the ground.

’Was I almost killed with a stick?’ Christopher thought in profound shock.

Meanwhile, Tiamat asked, "What do you mean by that, Lord Reaper?"

’Why is she so submissive?! Is this King so powerful that even the Water Spirit will bow to just a subordinate?’ he thought, a whirlwind of confusion in his mind. To his shock, Tiamat replied telepathically:

’Just shut up, Disciple! The great Supreme King is the one who controls the life energy tides... If he wants this planet gone, he just has to snap a finger, and we all will be completely erased from existence... He is the law of the universe.’

’Really?! Then why isn’t he doing anything with all the evils here?!’ Christopher mentally yelled back.

’That’s why I said shut up,’ Tiamat retorted, ending the mental conversation.

".....?!"

Christopher was utterly flabbergasted.

Reaper finally stood up from the throne. "Your world is too weak for the Great King to descend... So he will gradually prepare your world for five of his subordinates, myself included," he said, stopping at the center of the chamber, staring at the two.

"Christopher Valhalla... You caught our King’s eyes, and he wants to help your world... And being arrogant before the Great King will bring you nothing but disaster."

Reaper then knelt on one knee and placed his palm on a circular object embedded in the ground, right at the center of the chamber.

CLICK!!

Tiamat stood up, and the two watched in shock as the ground opened, and a pillar rose from its depths.

"Is that?!" Tiamat was speechless, her eyes wide.

"The Lord is giving you one of the primordial flames... This is the Ice Primordial Flame. It has the power to turn anything into ice within seconds," Reaper announced, getting back to his feet.

Christopher stared at the pulsating blue fire hovering on the pillar, his eyes filled with amazement.

"He also said I should give you this."

Reaper tossed an object to Christopher, who quickly caught it.

"That is a cultivation pill. It has the energy to help you advance to the next level," he explained.

"Why are you helping us?" Christopher asked all of a sudden, a lingering suspicion in his voice.

"Yes... The Great King can simply ignore us, so why is he helping?" Tiamat added, a similar question on her mind. ’He did when we fought the first war, why is this different?’ she thought.

Reaper turned around, walked back to his throne, and sat down.

"You are right, your world is too insufficient for the Great King to pay attention to... But someone escaped from the King and hid in this world because this person knew he can’t come here."

"Why is that?" Christopher asked, intrigued.

"He can’t come here because he is too powerful. The moment he appears here, the balance will be lost, and the world will collapse," Tiamat explained, her face filled with surprise at the revelation.

"Correct." Reaper nodded. He then raised his hand, observing as it began to disintegrate into shimmering particles.

"Do you have another question?" he asked, turning his gaze to Christopher and Tiamat.

"I have a lot, but I will ask one," Christopher said, taking a step forward. "Why is he sending you guys? Can’t I take down these enemies?"

"You are strong enough to take down your main enemy, but the person who escaped is beyond your capability... That’s why the King will assist you... That doesn’t mean you won’t get stronger... The future is always unclear."

Reaper finished, then dissolved into red dust and floated away.

"Who really is this Great King?" Christopher asked, turning to Tiamat. He then added, "And how the hell can that wolf see you?!"

"The King is the ruler of ten realms... He commands billions of soldiers. He is untouchable... I am just scared our enemy isn’t simple," Tiamat said, her voice grave.

"I forgot to ask who he was referring to," Christopher admitted.

"Origin of Darkness... The spirits fought the darkness spirit, and the Great King didn’t raise a finger... But now, Origin of Darkness appeared, and the King is here to assist! It only means the Origin of Darkness is beyond anything we have ever faced," Tiamat said in a dark, foreboding tone.

"With this flame, I will have a fighting chance," Christopher said, his gaze fixed on the luminous blue flame.
