Chapter 150: First Dinosaur
Chapter 150: First Dinosaur
SCREECH!!!!
GROWLS!!!!
CRACKED!!!
Christopher stared at the egg, a frown etched on his face, before lifting his gaze to the ominous sight of hundreds of birds hurtling towards them.
"What?!"
Christopher turning his head to Tiamat, who had finally opened her eyes. Her worried gaze met his.
"There is a sky stage beast close by," she stated, her voice tight with concern.
".....?"
Christopher and his beast were momentarily stunned. "How far?" he managed to ask.
"Fifty kilometers north from here," Tiamat replied, floating towards him, and observed Advika. "I think that is enough."
Christopher nodded, ceasing the flow of his flames. His clones shimmered and disappeared.
"You made a good decision keeping them alive," Tiamat remarked, observing the approaching horde of beasts.
CRACKED!!
The cracks on the egg intensified, spreading rapidly across its fragile shell. Then, before everyone’s eyes:
BOOOM!
The egg exploded, unleashing waves of searing flames that engulfed the immediate area.
"This?!"
Christopher quickly erected a shield around himself. The flames slamming against the protective barrier, pushing him a step backward. He peered into the heart of the explosion, discerning two figures ascending into the air, their bodies wreathed in fire.
WHOOSH!!
He raised his head upward as the two flaming beings shot into the sky, hurtling towards the horde of beasts.
WHOOSH!!!
SCREECH!!!
WHOOSH!!
Christopher, Tiamat, and the remaining beasts on the hill watched, mesmerized, as the two flaming figures tore through the beast lines, cutting them down like grass.
’What? What is the stage of that beast?’ Christopher asked inwardly.
"That newborn is an unbelievable legendary stage beast, with a combat strength of Lv6... All because of you and your beasts." Tiamat replied, then added:
"Oh! And that stubborn goddess also helped."
Christopher nodded, his gaze fixed on the beasts plummeting from the sky, one after another, blood gushing from their grievous wounds.
"All of you... Get me their cores."
His beasts responded with a nod, leaping down the hill towards the fallen creatures.
GROWL!!!!!
Advika, consumed by flames, came to a sudden halt. She turned her head towards the distant horizon, witnessing a mythical stage beast flying directly towards them.
"You know what to do," she declared.
The unknown flaming beast transformed into pure fire, then merged with her flaming sword.
"DIE!!!!"
With one mighty swing, she unleashed a 100-meter-long flaming energy blade towards the approaching creature.
"....?!!"
BOOOOOOOOMM!!!!
Christopher watched the colossal fireworks display in the night sky and gulped.
"I hope that sky stage beast didn’t feel it?" he muttered, turning to Tiamat.
"What the hell am I saying?! A Sky stage beast will surely have felt that."
Tiamat closed her eyes for a moment, then reopened them. "No... That guy is still in the cave."
"We will check it out, soon," Christopher stated with a resolute expression.
They watched as the smoke cleared, revealing roasted birds and mythical stage beasts, all falling to the ground.
"Maybe that beast is scared of her," he guessed, staring at Advika, who hovered several meters above them.
"Maybe it’s because of you," Tiamat added with a knowing tone.
"Okay, okay... Let’s send out a scout." He snapped his fingers, and a clone materialized behind him.
"Go."
The clone nodded and shot into the air, flying north.
"That clone is a supreme level Awakener, even though it can’t win, he can escape," he added, his gaze still on Advika.
_______
Whoosh!!
The clone landed on the ground, its indifferent gaze sweeping over the enormous cave entrance before it calmly walked inside.
"Hmm... This cave is huge."
Christopher’s voice echoed from the clone’s lips, their minds and eyes linked.
’True... But the pressure is getting stronger,’ Tiamat said, as the clone ventured deeper into the cavern.
"Welcome." The clone stopped in its tracks, staring at the creature seated on a rock.
"Is that... an ant?" Christopher was stunned.
’Not just any ant... That is a Bullet Ant (Paraponera clavata): These ants have the most painful sting in the world. While their sting is not fatal, it is incredibly painful and can be compared to a gunshot wound. The sting can also cause temporary paralysis and intense pain... But as a beast, who have evolved... Its skills will be ten times stronger,’ Tiamat explained.
"Sending a clone? Do you think I am insufficient?!" the ant demanded in a cold tone.
Christopher stared at the humanoid silver ant, with its two antennae and four wings, and sighed.
’It seems the planet’s life force is going on a rampant... If this continues, every single animal and plants will turn into Beasts, even insects, and Humanity will have a hard time,’ Christopher thought inwardly.
’Now that you said it, I also sense life force stones in this cave... Maybe those are the things that boost this ant’s to this stage,’ Tiamat muttered, a hint of surprise in her voice.
’Really?! Life force stones are treasures beyond treasures, especially for tamers and awakeners... They are as rare as dragons shitting gold!’ Christopher exclaimed.
"I will give you another chance, come with your true body, or I will kill all your subordinates." The ant raised its hand, and with a clench of its fist, the clone shattered into particles.
_____
[Back to Christopher.]
Advika landed on the ground, observing Christopher, whose eyes were closed in confusion. The next moment:
PIFF!
Christopher vomited a mouthful of blood. He clutched his chest, his gaze fixed on the northern direction.
"That ant?! It is more powerful than the fox in the simulation," he muttered in mild shock.
"Ant?!" Advika was completely lost.
Whizzzd!
She released her flaming sword, which shattered and reformed into her new beast. The creature was colossal, measuring 10 meters from head to tail.
Christopher raised an eyebrow, noting the razor-sharp teeth in the beast’s mouth, even when it was closed. This beast was completely unknown to him.
"What beast is this?" he asked in confusion, staring at the creature that landed behind Advika. It resembled a wyvern, yet was distinctly not one.
’This is a dinosaur,’ Tiamat muttered in his head, her words filled with surprise.
