The map Christopher and the rest are currently in, is among the hardcore maps... At the moment, they were all heading to the main Boss, who is even more stronger than the creators of the maps in real-time.

The earth shuddered violently. A colossal pillar of rock erupted from the ground, its ascent marked by a deafening roar. Perched atop this impromptu throne sat a creature of nightmare: a humanoid fox cloaked in midnight fur, its nine tails swaying ominously. Twin orbs of molten gold pierced the silence, fixing the four girls with an unnerving intensity.

"That?!" Chloe gasped, instinctively recoiling.

"That is a Divine stage beast?! With a combat strength of Lv9!!" Katherine exclaimed, a tremor of genuine horror in her voice.

**I did not anticipate humans progressing this far... My minions should have proven sufficient. Perhaps I underestimated you humans.** The fox’s golden gaze intensified, radiating palpable power.

"Why does this beast seem so familiar?" Chloe murmured, a flicker of recognition in her eyes.

"Yes! I remember now! This creature was one of the five beast kings who orchestrated the devastating raids against humanity... He and the other four were ultimately vanquished by the late Supreme Tamer, who selflessly gave his life for our sake." Katherine revealed, her voice hushed with a mixture of awe and dread.

"A beast king? We are truly in dire straits," Advika stated, her grip tightening on the hilt of her sword.

"Indeed... And knowing creatures of this caliber, retreat will not be an option." Leyla added, her keen eyes scanning their surroundings for any sign of escape.

**Do not demean me by labeling me a mere ’thing’! I am far more than such a paltry designation!** The fox rose from its throne, its nine tails unfurling like dark banners behind it.

"Oh?! Then shall we address you as a ’beast’? A wild animal?" Advika retorted, her defiant tone echoing in the tense air.

"Hey, easy girl... I hardly think antagonizing a being of this magnitude is wise. He could wipe us out in mere minutes." Leyla whispered urgently, surprised by Advika’s boldness.

The fox folded his arms across his chest, his golden eyes unwavering.

**You four have come here with the intent to extinguish my existence, and I, in turn, am duty-bound to prevent your advancement. Regardless of our words or intentions, a reckoning is inevitable.**

A cruel smirk stretched across its face.

A torrent of golden life force erupted from the fox, a geyser of raw power that shot skyward, illuminating the grim reality of their situation.

"Be cautious... An intelligent beast of this caliber presents a far greater challenge than any mindless brute," Chloe warned, her sword held in a defensive stance. "If we had foreseen this... perhaps we should have waited."

Her three companions nodded grimly, their weapons drawn, their gazes locked on the formidable nine-tailed fox.

The girl Advika had previously defeated scoffed, a bitter edge to her voice. "You may have been strong then, but let’s see how your arrogance fares against that."

"Christopher will prevail," Juliet stated with quiet confidence, a small, unwavering smile gracing her lips.

Her teammates, standing resolutely beside and behind her, echoed her conviction with nods.

"But... why are Christopher and that other student, moving so cautiously?" someone questioned, their gaze fixed on the sluggish progress of the two figures on the screen.

"I don’t know... What about Adrian’s group? They are also advancing at a snail’s pace."

"At least their pace is superior to Christopher’s," another student countered, a hint of impatience in their tone.

"True." A murmur of agreement rippled through the observing students, their expressions thoughtful and concerned.
