Return Of The Supreme Beast Tamer
Chapter 136: Move out!

Chapter 136: Move out!

"When should the kings gather, Master?" Phoenix asked, her gaze lifted towards Christopher.

"Hmm... Let’s convene in a month from your count... But you and Sunny will remain here, vigilant. Instruct the others to scout the remaining cities. Within a month, I require all acquired intelligence."

Christopher leaned back, his attention drawn to the cascade of her hair.

"How did you alter your hair?" he inquired, curiosity piqued.

"Master, I’ve mastered a skill, allowing me to shift my appearance," Phoenix explained, then added with concern, "Master, Lady Gabi was assaulted in the city by an operative of the Golden Organization. They absconded with a Beast Scythe she procured at an auction."

Christopher’s brow furrowed slightly. "How did this information reach you?" he asked.

Phoenix faltered, her thoughts racing.

’No... I cannot reveal that the C+ gang is under Master’s command, not yet... Sunny should be the one to disclose this... What explanation can I offer?’ Her mind searched for a plausible answer.

"I... I learned it from the leader of a gang," she stammered, recovering quickly. "They are plotting an assault on the Golden Organization... However..."

"However?" Christopher’s frown deepened.

"A formidable beast is advancing towards Cordelia, a creature suspected to be beyond the Divine stage... Consequently, all available forces are mobilizing for defense, putting the mission against the Golden Organization on hold."

Christopher nodded slowly, his mind working.

’My strategy to lure her into attacking the Golden Organization appears to have been effective, but this beast presents an obstacle... I must identify the traitor within Cordelia’s government... Unmasking this spy would significantly simplify my plans.’ He mused, then stated aloud:

"I suspect a mole within the government. Instruct Xing to compile all information on the city leaders and forward it to me."

"Yes, Master."

"Is that all for now?" Christopher inquired.

"For the moment, yes," Phoenix confirmed with a nod.

"Very well... Let’s commence this simulation. Here is your course of action," he said, a subtle smirk playing on his lips.

[Training Ground]

The Dean entered the training grounds with a composed demeanor, his arms clasped behind his back.

"What transpires here?" he asked, his gaze sweeping over Monica and the assembled students.

"Dean... there appears to be an issue with the screen. We would appreciate your assistance in examining it," Monica said promptly, stepping forward.

The Dean stroked his beard thoughtfully and nodded. "What precisely occurred?" he inquired.

"Well..." Monica turned towards the hovering screen. "It was functioning perfectly, and then, without warning, it went blank."

"Hmm... That is indeed peculiar... Very well, leave it to me," the Dean said, waving his hand, sending a surge of life force towards the screen.

BOOM!!

The screen vibrated momentarily, then flickered to life, displaying Christopher still seated on the golden throne, with Phoenix kneeling before him.

"Repaired," the Dean announced with a smile. His eyebrow arched slightly as he observed the scene unfolding on the screen.

"What is the meaning of this?" he murmured to himself, a hint of confusion in his voice.

"A training exercise, designed to train them in physical combat skills, you made this." Monica explained.

"So these individuals have already been defeated?" he asked, turning his attention to the students, who lowered their heads in embarrassment.

"Yes... Most of them managed to reach the top thirty... So it is a positive outcome," she paused briefly. "There is something I wish to discuss with you, Dean... After this class concludes."

The Dean nodded. "You know where to find me."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving the group in the training ground.

Monica’s gaze returned to the screen:

’One hour in real-time equates to twelve hours in simulation, two hours totals a full day... And this screen has been blank for over five minutes... What transpired during this interval? As far as I understand, the simulation should not have frozen... Or perhaps it did. Everything appears unchanged.’ She pondered, her eyes fixed on the two figures on the screen.

"Why is she kneeling?" a student whispered.

"I don’t know, perhaps she intends to surrender?" another speculated.

"Really? I thought her purpose here was to challenge Christopher," a third remarked, disappointment evident in their tone.

"What a letdown... I was anticipating an epic confrontation," a fourth added.

["Why have you come here?"]

Christopher’s voice echoed from the screen, instantly capturing everyone’s attention.

["I wish to propose an alliance... Your castle, and mine... Let us collaborate to defeat the Boss of this training map."]

Phoenix stated, delivering the prepared lines with a serious expression.

["Hmmm."]

Christopher relaxed against his throne, his gaze unwavering on her.

"What is happening?" a student exclaimed.

"An alliance?!" another echoed in disbelief.

"Will Christopher agree?" someone wondered aloud.

"I hope so," one student murmured.

"I hope not," another countered.

"What if she betrays him later?!" a concerned voice asked.

"Then Christopher will simply eliminate her," a matter-of-fact reply came.

The students behind Monica began to murmur amongst themselves, a mix of surprise and speculation in their voices.

"At least, she is more capable than some," a guy muttered, glancing towards a figure standing a few meters away, her gaze fixed on the ground, fists clenched tightly.

"Shh... She is still furious that Advika defeated her... As a previous contestant in the academy competition, she wields some influence here," another student explained.

"Alright... It’s just unfortunate that Advika is now allied with the heavy hitters... Even Adrian wouldn’t openly provoke her," a third chimed in.

"Yes, you are correct," another nodded in agreement.

["Very well... I accept. We are uncertain of the Boss’s true strength, so having some support would be beneficial, wouldn’t you agree?"]

Christopher’s voice drew their attention back to the screen once more.

Phoenix nodded and slowly rose to her feet:

["May I remain here until the allotted time concludes?"] she asked.

["Of course," Christopher replied with a nod.

"They actually formed an alliance," a student said, astonishment in their voice.

The other students were speechless.

["One more matter.] Christopher leaned forward, his gaze intent on her.

["I will deliver the final blow to the Boss... Understood?"]

Phoenix remained silent, her expression conflicted as she considered his demand.

’Oh... Christopher intends to claim all the rewards, will she agree to that?’ someone muttered.

"Let’s hear her decision," another urged.

"Yes," a third agreed.

They fell silent, anticipating Phoenix’s response.

["Very well... I accept."]

"...?!!!"

"Huh????"

"WHAT?!? She actually agreed!!!"

"What is transpiring here?!"

"Does she harbor a crush on Christopher?!" someone exclaimed.

"Yes, that must be the explanation... Almost all the girls are infatuated with him," another asserted.

"Indeed... Given his impressive display of strength in the arena, and even the manner in which he defeated Chloe, who wouldn’t fall for him?" A guy added with a frown.

"How are we boys supposed to attract the girls when they are all fixated on him?" another lamented.

The leader of the girls who had fallen at the skeleton castle, known as Juliet, scanned the students with a sharp gaze before lowering her eyes to the floor.

"Quiet down... Let us conclude this swiftly," Monica instructed, waving her hand.

The students exchanged confused and surprised glances as Monica gestured.

[Training Map]

WHOOSH!!!

Christopher and Phoenix emerged from the castle, and instantly, the tutorial appeared before them.

["Time has been rescheduled... The Imperial castle will appear in one minute... Timer starts now."]

"....?"

The two were utterly speechless.

____

[Back to the girls]

"One minute? Why the sudden haste?" Leyla asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.

"Perhaps Miss Monica wishes us to complete this test as quickly as possible," Katherine speculated.

’Maybe.’ Leyla thought.

Chloe’s gaze swept across the hall they were in before she turned and walked out.

The other girls exchanged glances and followed her.

["5. 4. 3. 2. 1..."]

The girls watched as the massive castle before them vanished from existence, leaving a vast expanse of open land.

["You occupied two castles and your team gained ten thousand dollars."]

["Your personal gain of two thousand dollars will be transferred to the account you provided in the registration form."]

The girls looked at each other and sighed.

WHOOSH!

A brilliant beam of light shot into the sky in the distance, immediately drawing their attention. They stared at the radiant pillar with small smiles.

"It seems that is the Imperial castle... Come on, let’s move," Chloe urged.

"What about Christopher?" Leyla asked.

"He will meet us there..." Katherine replied, following behind Chloe and Advika.

Leyla glanced at the empty space where the castle had stood, sighed; and then followed the others.

___

[Mitchell’s location]

"Phew... Thank goodness we secured this castle, otherwise we would have been eliminated," Adrian said, relief washing over him.

"Good thing there were only three students... Those guys practically eliminated themselves before we could even react," Mike said, examining his sword.

"Now... we can proceed towards the Imperial castle," he added.

"Although we managed to defeat the wolf general, its unusual skills made it a difficult encounter. I suggest we proceed cautiously with this one," Mariana advised, backing the three boys.

"She has a valid point... Alright... here is the strategy."

Adrian produced the map and unfolded it. He squatted down, laying the map out for everyone to see.

Mariana turned to listen as Adrian began to outline their plan.

"Christopher undoubtedly seized the skeleton castle, while another team claimed the ogre castle. We are uncertain of the number of individuals in that team..." He paused, looking at his group.

"All we know is... Christopher will advance from the east, those four girls will approach from the south... The other team will move from the north, and we will proceed from the west... Our objective is to converge at the center of the map, where the Imperial castle is located."

He folded the map and stood up:

"The plan is... we will exercise patience and observe, allowing the other teams to probe the defenses before we commit."

The group exchanged understanding nods.

Adrian nodded in return. "I merely hope Christopher arrives first, and we must be punctual to secure the final blow... Those girls seized our castle, and we will not let that transgression go unpunished... We are constrained in the outside world, but within this simulation... we are unrestrained." he declared, his gaze fixed on the distant beam of light, hundreds of kilometers away.

"Move out!" Adrian Commanded.
