Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 238 238: YOU STOLE FROM ME

.N'bayé's pupils shrank as she saw a work of wonder moving toward the mountain. The magnificent thing kept on expanding in her vision, getting bigger and bigger as time passed.

The birds of the sky flapped her wings and cried erratically as they quickly flew out of the way.

The vessel was simply too big and they wouldn't be able to fly out of the way in time, so they all dived down to avoid the incoming shuttle.

Red and black body that blocked the sun and cast a shadow over the whole mountain and the surrounding forestry.

"What's that?" A spirit wolf asked as she looked up with shocked eyes.

The vessel was simply too big, it was wider than the mountain and made the mountain look smallish.

It made the mountain look like a really big hill. All those who gazed upon the figure of this magic shuttle felt small all of a sudden.

They felt…insignificant.

A false pressure was put on the feeble minds of most of the gazers and they felt their bodies tremble even though there was nothing on them.

Vixy and Harah stared at the red and black colossal machine above them. They looked like they were about to snap their neck just to observe the magnificence of this thing.

Vixy's deep red eyes glimmered, she felt a vast and powerful spirit wave pass over her, scanning the whole vicinity under the magic shuttle.

The spirit signature seemed very familiar to her, yet she couldn't tell exactly where she had sensed it from, it was like it had changed from the way she was supposed to know it as.

Then, after that spirit wave finished scanning the whole mountain and the creatures present, it suddenly consolidated and locked on to Vixy.

Vixy's eyes shook and her body froze in place as she felt the gaze of a cold bloodthirsty monster. Her spine ran cold and her fingers trembled.

Only one person had ever made her feel so much dread without being close to her and he wasn't supposed to be here for some time.

Sweat dripped from Harath's chin, down his neck, and slid down his chest. That wave that passed and scanned them just now, it had lingered on him for a little longer.

At that moment, Harath felt like he had been thrown into a distant memory, back when he was just an ordinary wolf pig, scavenging for grubs through the wild plains.

He remembered when he had stumbled into the den of a random hungry lion. That day, he had never felt so close to death. He had escaped by luck, but that memory was burned into his mind.

Now, that spirit wave gave him the same feeling, like he had walked into the den of a very hungry lion

Harath did not have this feeling when he kept a certain distance between himself and some predators like N'bayé. Even when he saw lions from afar, he didn't have his feeling, it had only showed itself when he walked into that den.

And now, that spirit wave made him feel like he was directly standing in front of the open maw of a very hungry lion.

While Vixy and Harath were shivering in what one may call innate fright, N'bayé stared intensely at the magic shuttle above.

One of her eyes turned into an amalgamation of red runes which spun around in her iris. The other turned bright blue, emitting a chilling calculative glint.

Her curiosity was at its peak as she found herself studying the vessel, the runes, the exposed magic lines, and the humming thrusters. She absorbed all the images into her mind like a sponge

Something happened, something caught her eye. Under the shuttle, a hatch opened, and as soon as it finished opening, someone flew down.

It was Kael. He had two golden wings behind him, giving him the appearance of a divine angel sent from heaven.

N'bayé was delighted to see Kael, shocked, surprised, but delighted still.

Her eyes glimmered as she followed his trajectory and found that he was heading straight in her direction.

No, not her direction, Kael wasn't even looking at her.

He was flying straight toward Vixy and Harath's position.

And most of all, he wasn't smiling. Normally, Kael didn't smile that much, but his current expression was so…unfriendly.

Vixy panicked when she saw Kael heading straight for her with wings she had never seen before.

She jumped back, unsure whether to run away or to stand still and wait for her king.

'But what if he wants to kill me? Look at his face, no' Vixy's panicked thought was reflected in her actions.

A red spirit wave surged out from her body instinctively, an act to protect herself.

But Kael was unstoppable, he couldn't be held back by such antics anymore, he swooped down with the aura of a furious king.

*BAM!*

Like a meteor, Kael bashed through the spirit wave and snatched the retreating Vixy off the ground by grabbing her neck.

Kael continued flying, leaving a powerful gust of wind that pushed Harath away by a few steps. The pig man had to hold his arm to his face to prevent the dust from entering his eyes

The levitation runes on N'bayé's body lit up as she immediately chases after Kael.

Kael's wings were spread wide as he flew through the trees, cutting some of them in half.

*BAM!*

Vixy, who he held by the neck in front of him, was slammed into one of the thick trees in front of them. Only then did Kael stop flying.

Vixy gasped for breath as she felt the rough barks scratching on her back. The tree cranked and groaned, unable to bear the force of Kael's pressure.

"King…" Vixy was drenched in fear, she released her telepathic wave to speak, trying to talk with Kael.

"Shut up," Kael said as he raised his other hand and delivered a devastating slap to Vixy's face.

Vixy's head snapped to the side and splinters of wood flew out of the tree part behind her head.

A toot flew out of Vixy's mouth against her will, blood dripped from the corner of her lips. That slap had injured her.

Kael had been merciful, he could have slapped her head off, but he didn't.

"You seem to have let the little power you have get to your head, power that I let you have, power that wouldn't exist without my support!" Kael snarled, baring a part of his sharp golden teeth.

Vixy gulped, swallowing the blood accumulating in her mouth, she could guess the reason for Kael treating her like this.

It seemed the lionesses had left her alone so that Kael would come back to deal with her by himself, that was the conclusion she could come to.

"You're Majesty, I…" Vixy wanted to speak again but was silenced with another slap, a backhand slap that snapped her head to the other side.

Vixy felt her jaw shift slightly, almost being dislocated. She wasn't even talking with her mouth, yet the pain made her stop talking instantly.

"I told you to shut up, didn't I?" Kael asked with a cold expression.

"Do you realize that you not only killed one of my useful pawns, but one that I had not yet made good use of?

Do you know how I've been monitoring him, hoping to put him to good use?

An asset, that's what Ken was, and you took my asset away from me," Kael's breathing became ragged as he expressed his anger through his words, "YOU STOLE FROM ME!"

Kael pulled Vixy close before slamming her again into the tree. The tree, unable to bear the force any longer, snapped and crashed down.

Vixy's back bled, her skin wasn't that strong in the first place.

This was the true reason Kael was so angry, it wasn't because he cared or liked Ken on a deeper level. For him, it was as if a child had taken away and destroyed one of the toys he had not finished playing with.

He had invested a high-level heart into Ken, but he was yet to see the full returns of that investment.

A chess piece had been eliminated, and it was because of another chess piece.

Kael recalled Priya's words that particular day, she had asked him to promise to be lenient with Vixy in case she did something stupid.

Kael had refused to make that promise.

"You could have jeopardized my plans if he was part of them, you could have affected the campaign as a whole.

To think that by now, you would be smart enough to identify who you aren't supposed to touch.

I have been thinking of a satisfactory punishment for you on my way here, and I have concluded on the perfect one,"

Kael's voice took a more sinister tone.

"All the foxes that have slept in the forest, every one of them, those about to die, those not yet born and still in the womb, every fox that has slept in this forest.

You must recruit or kill every single one of them. I don't care how you do it or how you find them.

I'm giving you an ultimatum of one year, failure to comply will result in very serious consequences."
