Inside a pitch-dark room, at the very end, there was a black throne made of bones.

Sitting on the throne was a dark shadow with glowing purple eyes — the demon lord, Vekamoru.

He closed his eyes and muttered,

"All of them are useless. They call themselves demon generals, but they are dying to mere creatures like humans and beasts... what a shame."

Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching.

He opened his eyes, and in a deep voice, he said,

"You found me, huh... How?"

In front of him stood Sumi, smiling confidently.

She wore a pitch-black coat, black gloves, a black mini skirt, and black socks.

Looking at him, she spoke in a confident voice,

"I can find you even if you were hiding on another planet. Five hundred feet underground is nothing."

It turned out that Vekamoru was hiding 500 feet beneath a volcano on an isolated island.

Vekamoru stared at her and said,

"You know who you’re standing in front of?"

Sumi smiled and replied,

"The 5th ranked Demon Lord from the 7 Great Demon Lords, Vekamoru."

He looked at her and muttered,

"I see... you find information quite fast, huh."

Suddenly, inside her mind, Aries spoke

Sumi smiled and replied aloud,

"You sent quite strong demons to attack, but I doubt any of them will come out alive."

Vekamoru responded,

"Don’t underestimate us. We demons are far superior then some lowly beings like you."

Sumi smirked and replied,

"Oh? Is that so? I don’t see any demons in this room."

She looked around the dark space, then looked back at him and said,

"All I see is a shadow with cute purple eyes, who doesn’t even have a body, pretending to be a demon lord.

But to me, you’re just another shadow puppet trying to act strong."

As he heard that, Vekamoru was consumed by rage, releasing his overwhelming aura that shook the entire room.

Sumi stood there, unmoving.

"You’re doing all this just to get a body, right?" She sepaks

As she said that, Vekamoru gasped and stared at her in shock.

She continued,

"Vekamoru, also known as the Void of Hell, once the strongest demon lord of his time...

But soon, other demons surpassed him, because he was only a shadow, limited by the rules of the underworld."

His eyes widened even more.

He spoke,

"H-How do you know all that?"

Sumi smiled and said,

"As you said... I can find information quite fast."

Vekamoru, in rage, glared at her.

Sumi continued speaking,

"What a shame. You’re doing all this to create a body for yourself — a body that is immortal and won’t limit your powers, right?"

She pointed a finger at him and smiled coldly,

"But it was not as easy as you thought, huh?

Creating a body using monsters and demons that can hold your existence. You create that curse to kill many people and consum their energy using your mutant monsters so you could create that one body for yourself"

"Damn you, little slut!!" Vekamoru shouted in rage.

Sumi continued calmly,

"If you keep being that weak, you might fall back even further — to the very bottom, to the seventh rank."

Vekamoru’s rage exploded.

He screamed,

"Shut up, you bitch! You know nothing!!!!!

How much I have hard worked! Again and again and again and again!!!"

Suddenly, his mind was pulled into a memory—

Vekamoru sat in front of a huge purple mirror that rippled like water.

Bowing his head low, he spoke,

"Lord Demon Emperor, did you call me?"

From behind the mirror, a terrifying deep voice answered,

"Vekamoru, you have disappointed me."

Vekamoru’s voice trembled,

"I-I’m sorry, my lord! It won’t happen again..."

The scary voice continued,

"There is no forgiveness for those who make mistakes, Vekamoru.

I’m changing your rank from 1st to 2nd. If you improve yourself, you will earn your title back."

Vekamoru gasped and bowed deeper,

"Yes, my lord... as you say..."

(And... that happened again,) Vekamoru muttered quietly.

The voice behind the mirror spoke once more,

"Vekamoru... you are not improving at all. I’m dropping your rank to 3rd."

Vekamoru trembled and replied,

"Yes, my lord..."

(And again,) Vekamoru said, voice filled with suppressed rage.

The disappointed voice declared from behind the mirror,

"Vekamoru... you’re doing nothing. Your rank is now dropped to 4th."

Vekamoru’s body trembled violently, his voice shaky as he bowed his head,

"Y... Yes, my lord..."

(And again....) Vekamoru said, this time with deep-seated fury.

Finally, the furious voice roared from behind the mirror,

"Vekamoru! You have completely disappointed me! I’m dropping your rank to 5th!

If you continue this, I will put you at the bottom — or remove you from the ranks entirely!"

Vekamoru’s body boiled like water, his purple eyes glowing fiercely.

He muttered,

"I... I’m sorry, my lord..."

Vekamoru snapped and screamed at Sumi,

"You have no right to say anything about me, you bitch!

All you do is hide behind your little puppets! All you have is that title of that god, which you don’t even deserve!!!

Today!! I’ll end your life here, you little slut!"

Sumi gave him a cold look and replied,

"Is that so... Even if you kill me, nothing is going to change.

Because it’s your fate — you can’t get stronger than this."

She gave a cold smile,

"Unlike you... I can remove my limits and get stronger infinitely.

Poor you... The thing you are craving for is just one of my skills."

As she said that, Vekamoru, in complete rage, released his aura.

The whole area began to shake violently.

He screamed,

"I’ll kill youuuuu!!!"

Aurthor was running across the land, frustration written all over his face.

"Damn it, we got separated!" He said in a panicked voice

As he ran, he suddenly felt something approaching.

He pulled out his sword just in time to block a red lightning strike.

Looking up, he saw Boltz floating in the air, lightning crackling around him.

"You managed to block it, kid?" Boltz mocked.

Aurthor glared at him,

"D-Demon!"

Boltz laughed and, with another lightning strike, dashed toward Aurthor.

Aurthor quickly raised his sword to block the attack.

"He’s fast," Aurthor muttered.

"But I’m faster," he said in a confident voice.

He swung his sword quickly, colliding with Boltz’s attack.

A huge explosion rocked the ground.

Boltz jumped back, a little surprised.

He looked at Aurthor and whispered to himself,

"This boy is not any ordinary guy..."

Then suddenly, he remembered something.

He smiled and asked,

"Are you, by chance, the fastest human to ever live or something?"

Aurthor pointed his sword at him, replying proudly,

"Yes, that’s correct.

I’m here to kill the demons and help Lady Sumi and the others.

And currently, you are standing in my way."

As he said that, Boltz laughed loudly, holding his forehead,

"Hahahah! How interesting!! It looks like fate itself wants me to fight you!"

He gave a creepy grin and said,

"Bring it on, boy!"

Boltz’s body started to glow, and red lightning particles appeared around him.

With the sound of thunder, he vanished.

Aurthor gripped his sword tightly, took a deep breath, and said firmly,

"I’m not going to lose!"
