Chapter 56: Chapter 54: Time Has Come

"So, what is the highest-ranking human doing here...?"

They looked at me with serious expressions, and I returned their gaze with the same intensity.

The room was silent, yet loud from the tension.

Gaizon spoke first.

"Sumi Hana... I think you already know about the current situation in the world... about the curse."

I looked at him and replied in a steady voice.

"Yes... and? What about it?"

He maintained his serious expression and said,

"We heard that you found the cure..."

I responded without hesitation.

"Yes."

Gaizon closed his eyes for a moment before continuing,

"We came here personally to ask for your help... because you are the only one who can save humanity... and you understand that, right?"

As he said that, I spoke in a small voice.

"And... what will I get in return?"

Mira’s face twisted in rage. She raised her hand and summoned a green wind spike, screaming,

"How dare you ask for something in return from the Supreme?!"

Gaizon looked surprised by her sudden outburst and tried to stop her, but—

She pointed the spike at me and launched it at extreme speed. I looked at it but didn’t move. In an instant, Aurthor drew his sword and slashed the spike into pieces. Before anyone could react, he returned to his position.

Mira and Eli gasped in shock, unable to process what had just happened.

I raised my voice, laced with a chilling tone,

"Be glad that Lunara isn’t here, or your head would already be on the ground."

Mira and Eli stiffened, sweat forming on their foreheads. Silently, they sat back down on the couch.

Gaizon sighed and spoke,

"Mira, control yourself. We need to hear what Sumi has to say."

I closed my eyes before answering,

"It’s not like I’m going to ask for something ridiculous, nor do I expect you to act like my slaves. I respect your ranks, and I have no intention of fighting you. But as a ruler, my duty is to do what benefits my country and my people."

Gaizon nodded.

"I understand... but right now, we need to focus on the current situation. After that, we’ll see what reward we can offer you."

I smiled at his response.

Aries spoke in my mind.

[You planned this, didn’t you?]

I answered plainly.

(Planned? What’s that?)

Then, I turned my attention back to the conversation.

"Alright, that’s good. So, how can I help?"

Gaizon pulled out a large brown paper, placed it on the table, and unfolded it, revealing a map of multiple countries. He pointed to four of them.

"The Kingdom of Kheera, the Kingdom of Spagon, the Kingdom of Atlantada, and the Kingdom of Franecia... these four nations have suffered the most from these creatures and the curse. The worst among them is the Kingdom of Atlantada. Since they’re surrounded by water just like Paradise garden, all their water sources have been contaminated by the curse. Their people and warriors are dying of dehydration."

I studied the map carefully, my mind analyzing the situation.

(These creatures attack the most in that area... which means they must be coming from somewhere nearby. The Dark Forest Island beside the Kingdom of Atlantada... it has to be there.)

I spoke,

"I see... they can’t ask for help because their paths are blocked by those creatures."

Gaizon nodded.

"Yes, that’s likely the case. The other three kingdoms are also suffering, but not as badly as Atlantada."

I closed my eyes for a moment before speaking.

"Gearor."

"Yes, Lady Sumi?" he responded.

(Since I can’t open a portal to places I haven’t been before...)

"How long will it take for each of our warrior teams to reach these countries?"

Gearor studied the map, his eyes glowing green.

"Calculation Magic" he chant

After a few moments, he answered,

"The first platoon will take four hours to reach Kheera. The second platoon will take six hours to reach Spagon. The third platoon will take eleven hours to reach Atlantada. The fourth platoon will take twelve-point-three hours to reach Franecia."

I nodded.

"I see."

Mira looked shocked.

"Are you kidding...? How can you reach Franecia in just twelve-point-three hours?"

I smiled and pointed at Aurthor.

"He can get there in less than a second. And he’s the one training our warriors in speed. That’s how fast we are."

Mira turned to Aurthor in disbelief. Aurthor stood silently, but as their eyes met, Mira blushed and quickly looked away. Eli, still sitting on her shoulder, looked confused.

I continued,

"We’ll send our warriors to eliminate the creatures and save the people."

As I spoke, I glanced at Shiro, who had been sitting silently the entire time.

(His hair covers his eyes, but I can feel his stare.)

Then, Gaizon spoke up again.

"But what if they also get infected by the curse?"

I smiled.

"I know the risk, but I already have a solution."

They all looked at me curiously as I raised my hand. A green-colored armband appeared, woven from small vines and flowers. It looked delicate, yet beautiful.

Eli’s eyes widened in amazement. Her small wings fluttered rapidly.

"E-Eli? What’s wrong...?" Mira asked in confusion.

Gaizon examined it and asked,

"A hand band?"

I nodded.

"Yes, but not an ordinary one. I have enchanted it with my magic."

Then, in a serious voice, I continued,

"Whoever wears this will not be infected."

As I spoke, I noticed Shiro gritting his teeth slightly.

(Bingo)

I continued,

"I’ll also send the cure potion to heal those who are already infected."

Gaizon’s eyes lit up in surprise.

"That’s incredible... With this, we can save so many people."

I nodded, summoning more armbands. They floated toward them.

"You should wear one as well. Who knows? You might get infected too."

Gaizon took one and placed it on his wrist. The small flowers on it emitted a faint green glow.

Mira took one with a slightly frustrated face, but Eli excitedly grabbed one that was nearly half her size, wrapping it around herself.

"It’s so beautiful!" she exclaimed.

Mira looked at her in confusion.

Shiro simply took the armband and held it in his hand. I secretly observed his reaction.

Then, Gaizon spoke again.

"And about the cause of this curse and the creatures appearing out of nowhere..."

I smiled.

"Oh, you don’t have to worry about that. I’ll have information soon."

As I said that, I met Shiro’s gaze with my glowing red eyes.

"I see..." Gaizon responded.

I stood up.

"We will prepare immediately. There’s no time to waste."

I looked at Bokkon and Yooto and and both nodded before leaving the church.

The Three Supremes also stood, and Gaizon spoke.

"We are putting our faith in you... Miss Sumi."

I smiled.

"You can rest easy. I already know you won’t be doing anything, after all."

Gaizon chuckled slightly.

"Alright, we will be going now."

"Sure thing. Thanks for coming." i replied

A teleportation circle appeared beneath them.

Mira stole a final glance at Aurthor, who stood silently in the corner. Then, in an instant, they vanished.

I turned to Aurthor and Gearor.

"You know what to do."

They nodded.

Aurthor’s voice was firm.

"Yes... Get ready for war."

I smiled, then turned to the twins, who gripped their blue katanas tightly.

With confidence, I declared,

"Let’s do this."
