Chapter 109: Get Rid Of All Of Them

"Hahaha! Sister. Are you fooled too? Of course, I was only acting like a lovesick fool. But you know that I do not love the prince enough to feel upset. It would only be a pity if I was not selected after coming so far."

"..." Olivia wiped her ears and laughed heartily as she boosted about her act.

Oriana had a hard time digesting that her innocent sister could act like that. Did she not care about marrying a prince at all when it was no less than a fairytale.

She hid her resentment and swallowed her next words.

"Is that so? Haha." Olivia, who had so much in mind, did not notice that Oriana was genuinely worried about her.

She only smiled and wrapped her arms around Oriana’s.

"Of course, her majesty had already warned me that it would not be an easy journey. But as long as I follow her lead, I will be the prince consort and hold a lot of power. You do not need to worry about me, sister." she repeated with a bright smile.

The enchanting smile could steal anyone’s heart but Oriana watched it with uneasiness in her heart.

"Prince Edward had everything. Are you not charmed at all? He is the dream man of many women." Olivia rolled her eyes. She did not understand the need to act at this point.

"Yes, and he fulfills their dreams everytime. I would rather prefer a man who only loves me. And did not look at other women." Oriana snorted at her response as it sounded unrealistic.

"Have you ever found a man like that?"she shook her head. "Man can never be satisfied with a woman. The more successful a man is, the more women he has."

"Father only had mother!" Olivia whispered looking at the distance. "But it did not matter. I am not getting married for love. I am getting married for wealth and power. So I would not think about useless things." Oriana felt her mouth drying. She wanted to say something but words failed her.

As they walked in silence, the air around them felt haveir. Before Oriana could get rid of this uneasiness, she was called by the maids.

"Your majesty has called for his guests. If you could please follow us." Oriana smiled and followed the maids. She did not see Damon back.

When she returned to the hall, the family had red eyes but they seemed at ease.

"I apologize for keeping you waiting, duchess Aykroyd, lady Withermoon. I was just surprised that my second son had found a life partner too.

Welcome to the family, Lady Witherspoon. I have liked you from our last meeting. But I have never expected you to be part of my family." he laughed heartily and waved hands at her as if asking her to come closer.

Olivia lowered her head and walked closer with a shy face.

"But I want to ask you personally. Do you wish to marry my son, Edward?" Edward smiled as he looked at her with a teasing smile.

Olivia blushed and nodded, biting her lips.

"Hahaha! Since the couple is ready. I will announce the marriage in three months. But you could only marry Elio and Amber since he is my elder son. But since you did not get proper training as a nobl, I will invite you to stay in the royal family and learn our culture. Amber had taken her training when she had a child. You must match her and help her in the future." It meant that she could only be a shadow of Ambe. so she did not dream further.

His majesty was drawing a line to define her position. Olivia noticed Gabriealla’s smile stiffening but her expressions didn’t change at all.

"I will try my best to serve you and this family, your majesty." Her voice did not have any ambitions but a submissive tone that relaxed WIlliam.

He laughed and nodded as he asked the maids to serve delicacies.

"Duchess, since we are family, you do not need to be so formal and enjoy your dinner here. I will announce their marriage soon." Oriana knew when to bow her head and when to strike. Impressed that her sister could control her emotions well, she too bowed her head and thanked his majesty.

"Since we all are here, let us have a family dinner. I will ask the maids for the preparations. Where is lord Damon?" Oriana shook her head and sighed.

Her silence said more than words could ever do.

Edward did not wait to hear the drama. He walked toward Olivia and kissed the back of her hands. Olivia froze for a second not because of the touch, but his image overlapped with Damon for a second. The way he had licked her hand after kissing it last night.

She shivered involuntarily, earning a chuckle from the surroundings. She blushed and looked away while Edward smiled charmingly. They looked like a perfect couple as he escorted her out of the room.

"You were so realistic. Even i felt that you were in love with me." Olivia laughed as soon as they were out of the room.

Edward paused. A look of uneasiness in her eyes.

"And you speak as if you are not charmed by me at all." he teased but a hint of uneasiness passed his eyes.

"I will never dare, your highness. You have so many women around you. Would I not suffer a heartbreak if I fell in love with you." Edward blinked and then forced a smile on his face.

"And what if i get rid of all of them?" Olivia only laughed hearing him.

"Then they all would blame me for it and be my enemy. How could I endure so many curses? It is better that you keep loving them and I only stay as your partner."
