Chapter 80 Bend You Over
Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Bend You Over
After sushi, Kingsley and Jasmine took a stroll around the nearest park. The morning sun was beginning to set and the cool November breeze caressed their skin.
Jasmine had her hand trapped on Kingsley’s arm. She leaned on him a little as they took the short walk down to Nicole’s apartment.
The comfortable silence between them was relaxing. Kingsley sighed in relief, appreciating the short but worthwhile moments with Jasmine.
Breakfast at a sushi spot, walk around the park and stroll downtown by foot. It was all relaxing altogether.
No reporters. No files. No PTSD. No worries or burdens.
Just him and Jasmine. And it was the best feeling for him.
"How about another trip to Paris??" Kingsley suddenly asked and Jasmine raised her head.
"A trip to Paris??" Jasmine Crooked her brows. "The Trevor’s group is hosting thanksgiving event soon and my dad wants me to..."
"I’ll talk to your dad." Kingsley cut her words or rather, excuses.
Jasmine made a playful laugh. "You and I know you’re not my dad’s biggest fan. And my dad doesn’t like you either."
Kingsley had a blank look. "I’m glad you know I don’t like your father.." he released his arm from Jasmine’s grip. "But he’ll have to agree."
It sounded a little unreal to Jasmine. "And how do you plan on achieving that? My dad is very stubborn."
"Not so stubborn that he will decline the request of an Elm." There were no traces of doubt on his face. As if that was something common. As if all the power was in his palm and no one dared to go against him.
"Now you’re giving me the vibes of a god of war." Jasmine scoffed before walking ahead.
"You don’t believe me?" Kingsley also followed.
Some bunch of teenagers walked past them with footballs in hand as they cheered along.
Jasmine stared at them for a while before averting her gaze. "I can’t tell."
Kingsley didn’t say anything else. They silently returned to Nicole’s apartment. Jasmine stopped at the porch. "You wanna come in??" Her rich American accent flooded out freely.
Kingsley was about to reply when his phone started to buzz in his pocket. "I’ll take this first. You should go in." He turned around while pulling his ringing phone out of his pocket.
He had told everyone not to call him unless the company was on fire. Not even Raymond, Elliot, nor his grandfather was allowed to call him. He had been clear on that!
As he brought the phone near, his face fell. It was Gabriel Marshmallow.
It’s been a year since they last chatted and that was regarding a few cases Gabriel was helping him handle.
Gabriel was not to call him unless something came up. Seeing this call, Kingsley swallowed a little too hard. His palm starts to itch.
"Hello," Kingsley answered the call, he took a few more steps away from the apartment, standing close to the road.
"Boss Elm..." Gabriel Mashmallow’s voice flooded from the other end.
"Anything in that case??" Kingsley asked. His voice had grown incredibly small and low. His eyes narrowed into a distance.
Gabriel Marshmallow was his private investigator. A clean hacker and expert on computer issues. He resided in Paris.
"We found some lead but I think you should come check it out." Gabriel tuned down a little. "Lately, my phone seems to have been tapped on by someone." He chuckled at the end like it was funny.
Kingsley pretended he hadn’t heard the laugh. "By whom??"
"Some con artists. I always have my way of dealing with them. But I think you should come over to my place sometime." He wasn’t specific on the place—maybe, because of the con artist trying to hack his phone—but Kingsley knew he wanted him to come over to Paris.
It was a nice coincidence because he planned to continue the vacation with Jasmine in Paris.
"It can be done. Will let you know when." Kingsley whispered shortly. Gabriel laughed a bit before agreeing. Kingsley ended the call before dropping the phone back into his long black coat.
He stood close to the road for a few more moments. The quietness eating at his bones. He didn’t know what to expect from his trip to Paris but he knew Gabriel all too well.
Gabriel loved destruction. He loved something that could ruin others—especially from his findings. And his laughter indicated so...which only means one thing. The results he found could break Kingsley. It could place him on a dead end.
His laughter confirmed it. Gabriel’s laughter after a research or investigation was not something Kingsley appreciated or took lightly.
Kingsley balled his fist, willing himself for what might come.
’Maybe, it isn’t that bad.’ He tried to assure himself. But that nagging feeling was still in the pit of his stomach. The unsettling feeling was twirling there, like a constant reminder that his assurance was all frail and loose.
Gabriel Marshmallow was in charge of investigating his parent’s incident. The murder that happened in the Elm Mansion. That very incident that ruined his life—painted him into this cold person. Made the public tag him as a monster.
Gabriel had been on this case since then...he didn’t call unless something came up. And now, Gabriel was in a rather ’good mood.’
Kingsley’s heart dropped to his stomach. His back went stiff. The morning cold breeze seemed to be sipping into his veins, the cold feeling ran down to his feet.
"Are you coming in or do you wanna remain standing there, counting the grass??" Jasmine taunted from behind the front door.
Her voice jolted Kingsley from his reverie. He turned around to find Jasmine looking out from behind the door. A weak smile formed on his face before it turned into a big smile. He concealed his worries behind that smile as he walked towards Jasmine.
"I would rather do something else.." Kingsley said. Jasmine clicked her tongue while opening the door wide for him to enter.
Kingsley stepped into the living room and he sighed. "You still don’t want to come home??"
A look of amusement flashed on her face. "Why?"
Kingsley stepped closer and Jasmine took a step back until her back hit the wall. His eyes teased her. "I have a lot to do with you back home."
"Something like...??" Jasmine whispered, the heat from his skin tingling hers. The air became so hot that it stole her breath. There was not even a breathing space between them.
Kingsley’s eyes moved from her face to her shirt and then back up to her face. "Something like bending you over and screwing your little pussy."
