Chapter 61 Vacation At His Condo
Chapter 61: Chapter 61 Vacation At His Condo
Jasmine walked out of the bathroom with a robe on, her hair was wrapped in a big towel as she entered her bedroom.
"You’re done.." Kingsley’s voice echoed and Jasmine jolted a little in shock.
He was leaning against the table close to her door, his eyes were deep as he stared meaningfully at her.
The robe was tied loosely and he wondered the minimum effort it would take him to drag down the robe from her body. The water on her skin trailed down her forehead to her neck, it looked so inviting.
His eyes wandered to her long legs, her milky skin that he wanted to trail his fingers along.
Temptress.
"What are you doing here??" Jasmine asked, her face began to heat up a little as she embarrassingly moved to her bed. Her clothes were laid on the bed, waiting to be picked up by her.
Kingsley pushed himself off the desk as he made his way toward her. The room started to feel small and hot all of a sudden.
Jasmine’s eyes moved from his broad shoulder which was covered in a thin grey shirt to his well-toned arms that had developed so well due to his consistent workout. Then, back to his face. His hair was sticky a little—
’He probably just stepped out of the shower.’ Jasmine thought. Before her eyes went down to his lips, she cursed slowly in her head. Those lips—she wondered what it would taste like.
"I came to check up on you. How are you doing?" His husky voice came and it sent a thousand butterflies to Jasmine’s belly.
"I’m okay. Especially how you make sure I take my drugs." She grumbled a little. Since she returned from the hospital, Kingsley has been extra careful with her. He made sure she rested, went out sunbathing every morning, ate according to the timetable, and took all of her drugs.
Even when he went to his office to work, he would call Mrs Jenkins to remind her to eat and take her drugs. Lately, Kingsley doesn’t spend much time at the office either, he returned too quickly and it made Jasmine wonder what happened to his schedule.
"That’s good then." He said. "I’d advise you not to wear that though." He added.
"Why?"
"We’ll be leaving for Chicago in my private jet. Wear something thick as it is winter already. Mrs Jenkins will come over to help pack some needed stuff."
Jasmine’s lips pried open. "Didn’t know it would be so soon."
Kingsley chuckled a little. "Thought I told you it’s a trip to celebrate your safe surgery??" He raised a brow at her.
"Didn’t know it would happen now. Besides, I am not even prepared." She gushed out in exasperation.
"You still have a few minutes to get ready." He looked down at his wristwatch before he continued. "At least, twelve more minutes."
Jasmine inclined her head to the side. "I’ll make do with that. "
Kingsley nodded and turned to leave. He paused close to the door before saying. "I hope you’re happy about the trip."
Jasmine nodded as if he could see her. "Of course. I am. It’s not a bad thing to unwind sometimes."
"Good because it’s going to be just Us." With that, he left the room.
Jasmine quickly grabbed a pair of black jeans and a white blouse. She wore a matching black coat and black boots. She tied her hair into a ponytail.
A few moments later, Kingsley and Jasmine were ready to leave.
Mrs Jenkins helped pack the bags while Raymond threw them into the booth. Kingsley was more focused on checking through Jasmine’s backpack that contained her drugs, making sure everything was intact.
"All set." He confirmed, his eyes searching the place for Jasmine. He saw her standing close to the entrance, she was on call with Nicole.
Kingsley went to meet Raymond who was busy arranging the few bags on the booth. "Are you ready for the trip?" He asked Raymond.
Raymond shut the booth after keeping the last bag. He nodded at Kingsley. "Yes, boss. I already have my bags packed for the trip."
"I know you should be resting because it’s winter holiday but you know how my grandpa is, he wants me there but I can’t go...." Kingsley’s eyes were directed at Jasmine. "So you’ll be there for three days to represent the Elm family at the party."
"Understood boss," Raymond replied shortly.
"When you return, be sure to let me know," Kingsley added.
"Will do that." Raymond concurred.
At that moment, Jasmine was done and she walked towards them. "Time to go?" She questioned, her eyes darting between Kingsley and Raymond.
"Yes." Kingsley smiled warmly at her. He opened the front door for her and she happily went in.
He shut the door after her before nodding at Mrs Jenkins who waved at them. Kingsley got into the car and slowly drove out of the compound.
Raymond took a step back as he watched them leave. He stood close to Mrs Jenkins and the nosy woman whispered to him. "I can feel a big change about to take place."
Raymond only shook his head. "I hope so but Boss Elm is too cold."
"Can’t you see how he’s become more attentive to madam?? He cares about her."
Raymond snarled."And that’s because he is scared of losing someone again." He turned to look at the older woman. "You and I know Kingsley suffers from fear of abandonment and somehow, he has grown attached to this woman. He only cares about her living, not because he loves her."
"What if your guess is wrong?"
"We’ll see about that." With that, Raymond brushed past her, heading to the back house to start preparing for his trip too.

Jasmine couldn’t tear her eyes off Kingsley, her eyes seemed to be plastered on him as she watched him skillfully fly the jet. He looked so cool and handsome tenfold.
The way he controlled the jet made her squirm. She had thought someone else would fly the jet while they both relaxed. That was the typical thing she had imagined.
Now, she realized what he meant when he said ’It’s going to be just us.’
True to what he said, it was just them. No one else, him flying the jet while she just sat next to him, staring like a lovesick puppy.
"Keep staring like that, and I’ll assume that you’ve fallen head over heels in love with me." He teased with a smile on his face.
Hearing that, Jasmine quickly blinked as she shook her eyes off his body. "You’re—you’re unbelievable."
"Which part is unbelievable?? The part where you find me irresistible that you can’t seem to want to blink or the part where you’re stunned to know your husband can fly a jet??" He grinned at her. "Huh, Wifey?"
Jasmine’s ears turned red and her cheeks flushed. "None."
"You better be kidding."
"I don’t find you handsome and all that," Jasmine argued even though she knew she was vomiting a miserable lie.
"Keep up with that bunch of lies and you’ll wake up someday to realize that you’ve got some resemblance with Pinocchio." Kingsley countered.
Jasmine scoffed. "My nose can’t be that long."
"Things can happen." Kingsley shrugged. "Hold on, we’re about to reach land."
Hearing that, Jasmine looked down and her mouth couldn’t even shut on its own. Below was a place filled with so much snow, with no houses or people in sight. It was just covered in snow.
"Where the hell are we??" She gasped.
"Chicago." He stated.
"I know but this place looks like a fucking snow-abandoned location."
Kingsley laughed but he didn’t respond until he found a clear spot and landed the jet there.
"Come down. Don’t forget your windbreaker." He told her before coming out of the jet.
Jasmine swallowed her complaints as she climbed out too. Her skin immediately prickled as the chilly wind blew her cheek.
"Oh, Christ." She grumbled. Surprisingly, she saw a car parked there. "Who owns that car??"
Kingsley dragged out their luggage and Jasmine stood close to him. "It’s our ride."
"There’s a house here?" She asked.
Kingsley dropped the last luggage on the ground and shut the door. He turned to face her and said sarcastically. "No. We’ll be living in trees like monkeys."
Jasmine’s face fell. "You don’t mean that."
"Of course I don’t. Quietly follow me so we can leave this place." Kingsley bickered as he carried two of the luggage while Jasmine grabbed her backpack and another mini-luggage.
"Wait for me." She called out as she followed behind him.
Kingsley opened the car back seat door and dumped all the luggage there including her backpack and the luggage she carried.
"Hop in." He told her as he opened the driver’s seat and got in. Jasmine entered the passenger seat at the front.
"Tell me where we’re going."
"To my condo, far from this icy hill." He said briefly before igniting the car. His windshield wiper cleared off the snow on the windscreen as he drove towards the condo.
Jasmine’s eyes focused on the landscape. As the car drove, her eyes tried to find even one house but there was no house in sight. It felt like a deserted island.
"How come there are no neighbors?? Is it private land?" Jasmine asked the question she had been holding in.
"Private land, yes!"
Jasmine snapped her head to look at him. "Are we trespassing??"
Kingsley turned to look at her. "Yes." He snarled at her and Jasmine twisted her face.
"Let’s go back. I can’t stand being arrested and having my reputation stained." Her blabbering fell short on Kingsley’s ears as he continued driving.
Jasmine wanted to complain again until her eyes caught the house not too far away. It was a small cozy house made of Glass and rocks. A perfect spot for...
"That’s the condo??" Jasmine asked once Kingsley parked his car in front of the condo.
"Yes." He leaned closer to her. "This is where we would be spending the next three weeks."
"But the owner of the land will..."
"Shh, I own this place. Everywhere." He said to her dismay. Without feeding her curiosity, he added. "Let’s go."
