Chapter 46 Growing Tumor
Chapter 46: Chapter 46 Growing Tumor
"And what if I don’t sign it?" Mr Boaz asked, her eyes were red. His lips were pressed into a thin line.
Hearing that question, a low chuckle came out of Kingsley’s lips, the sound tingling Mr. Boaz, and a shudder went down his spine.
Kingsley gracefully leaned back on his chair as he said with an arc formed on the top of his lip. "You’ll find out." He said nonchalantly, but his eyes held deep threats.
Mr Boaz swallowed hard and his assistant panicked in fear when he kept hesitating. "Sir..." she said, her lips pursed and her eyes darting around. "Please, just give them the shares, it’s for the best. I—" she stammered in fear. "I don’t want to be implicated in whatever and get sacked by your wife. This is my only means of survival."
"Can you just shut up, woman?" Mr Boaz irritably said, already agitated by Kingsley’s trap and now, the woman just won’t stop blabbering to him. It angered him.
He sucked in a deep breath, knowing what was at stake. "Fine.." Mr Boaz drew out, a smile rested on Kingsley’s face softly, his eyes swirling. Mr Boaz continued. "I have a twenty-five percent share, if you want to get more shares from the shareholders—"
Kingsley cut his words. "Keep the advice. It’s not what we need. Just sign the papers so I can leave this hole, your office is pricking on my skin." His eyes moved from Mr Boaz who was embarrassed to the wooden shelves and window, his table etc before bringing his eyes back on Mr Boaz.
Mr. Boaz swallowed down the insults, unable to refute them in fear of Kingsley bringing out another piece of evidence against him or snapping his neck and separating it from his body.
Kingsley smiled widely as he watched Mr Boaz read through the papers and sign every file there. His excitement as to what follows next was evident on his face.
Raymond looked down at Kingsley before looking at Mr Boaz. Once done, Raymond came forward and took the documents from the table.
Mr Boaz’s face was unsightly, no traces of a smile were evident on his face. Kingsley smirked before getting up from the chair and saying. "It was nice having this conversation with you. Contact my assistant to wire the money to you soon." With that, Kingsley left with Raymond behind him.
Meanwhile, Mr Boaz’s jaw was tightened tightly, his balled fists trembled as he gritted his teeth in anger...his chest kept moving up and down like he was having difficulty breathing. His breathing was rushed.
"Sir..." His assistant tried to step in but Mr Boaz barked at her.
"Leave!" He snapped, and veins formed lines in his eyes. His thunderous voice made the assistant jolt before scurrying away in panic.
Deep down, she was a little relieved that she wasn’t going to be exposed.
Mr Boaz’s thoughts were different. Those shares he sold to Kingsley were the only tangible thing he had that his wife couldn’t control.
Being the son-in-law, he was made to manage the group but has no full legal rights over it. The shares in Raven’s group were an investment. It was the only investment his wife and her family had no control over and now....because of his affairs, it was gone.
"Argh..." Mr Boaz angrily hit the table’s leg with his foot but hissed in pain as he lowered his back to hold his foot. He sat back on the chair and took off his shoe to massage his foot, his face was twisted in hurt, temporarily forgetting his ordeal as he focused on his foot.

Jasmine walked out of Mr Williams’s hospital, a hospital funded by the Elms. She was done with her appointment and was now ready to head to work.
Pennies for being the daughter of the CEO and a heiress. She could clock into work any time of the day.
Jasmine sighed as she opened the Bentley that had been grabbing too much attention than she needed. She regretted going out with the car because all eyes were on her and the car.
As Jasmine headed towards her car, a particular piercing gaze from someone standing behind a pole in the lobby of the hospital kept following her.
Jasmine pulled open the car door and dropped his bag on the other seat before sitting on the driver’s seat and shut the door.
A deep sigh escaped her lips as she held onto the wheels, her mind reeling from what the doctor had said.
Doctor Williams had said to her. ’Mrs Elm. Thanks to the nourished and healthy food you’ve been consuming, your Meningioma symptoms are becoming less but the unfortunate thing is that it’s still growing rapidly and might need surgery soon.’
Jasmine’s chest suddenly felt heavy as if she was lacking air to breathe in. She held her chest as she thought of how things had been turning out lately.
Her eyes went to the recommended new drugs for her to take, they were slightly too many. She wished she could skip days but she was sure as hell that the doctor would report to Kingsley who seemed interested in her business lately.
Jasmine’s phone beeped and she grabbed it. Her eyes brightened up when she saw that it was a text from Hailey.
{Great aunt, my mommy just got me a tablet and I have your number now. Hope to see your pretty face soon. Hailey Loves you.}~~Unknown number.
Jasmine called the number to be sure and truly, it was Hailey who picked up the call. Her child-like voice came from the other end. Jasmine was happy to indulge her for the next few minutes before she hung up.
Jasmine happily saved the little girl’s contact. She dropped her phone back in her bag before driving off, heading towards the Trevor’s Group.
As her car left the hospital premises, that same eyes followed. The woman wearing a black hoodie and pants and also a black baseball hat, her hands tucked into her Hoodie pockets. The woman’s blonde hair was neatly packed in the hoodie as she walked out from behind the pole and stood there, watching Jasmine’s car blend with other cars on the road and far away from sight.
Her lips were pouted, and hate was evident on her face as she stood there with gritted teeth. Not wanting to look anymore, she turned around to walk away but she bumped into someone.
Lowering her head more, She hurriedly said. "I’m sorry." She hurried out but the man she bumped into quickly grabbed her hoodie by the shoulder. Lucinda swung her fist to hit him but Jack held it and their eyes met.
Lucinda paused when she saw Jack and Jack’s eyes widened a little, his jaw shook before he looked around in panic. Noticing that everyone was minding their business, Jack grabbed Lucinda’s hand and dragged her along with him.
"Let go of my hand!" Lucinda growled in a low tone. Her teeth were tightly joined as she forced out her words but not to attract attention, Lucinda only struggled a little but she tried to will Jack to let her go.
Jack wasn’t having any of that, he was surprised to see Lucinda at the hospital where he had come to do some stuff.
Getting to a corner, Jack pushed Lucinda forward and she almost lost her footing as she staggered. Jack’s face was clouded. "What are you doing here??"
Lucinda glared at him. "Don’t you dare grab me like that again and push me afterward!!!" She snapped right back at him in anger.
Jack wanted to say something but shut his mouth. His eyes looked at Lucinda’s face, he could see her blonde hair inside the hoodie cap.
Sighing, Jack lowered his voice a little and said softly. "Fine. I’m sorry. What are you doing here?? I saw you earlier than you noticed and it seems you were stalking Jasmine."
Lucinda frowned. "You care about her now?"
Jack shook his head, his eyes held a mix of various emotions...unsure of what to say. "No-I don’t think so but anyways, just tell me. What did you come here for??" His eyes scanned Lucinda. "...And dressing like this too??"
Lucinda cleared her throat, and a part of her anger dissipated. "I-I only came to check on something but it’s..." she sighed. "Oh well. Fine, I was stalking that woman and I just hate how happy she is."
’Driving in that fancy car.’ She added in her head. Jack was Speechless but Lucinda’s eyes fell on the white plastic bag in his hand and her eyes sank.
"You’re sick?" She asked, making Jack self aware of the bag he was holding.
Jack gripped the bag tightly and stammered. "I—Yes, I am sick."
"Let me have a look." Lucinda came forward and tried to take the bag from him but Jack took a few steps away from her, hiding the bag.
Lucinda’s brows joined and she rushed forward but Jack kept cursing as he tried to keep the bag from her reach. They struggled but Lucinda was adamant.
"Just let me see what’s inside, you prick.." she cursed.
Jack raised the bag above his head and rushed out. "Stop this madness already and..." his words got cut when Lucinda grabbed the bag and he panicked as he launched at her but Lucinda was fast to pour the drugs on the floor.
Jack froze. Lucinda’s eyes bulged out in alarm, her eyes scanned the drugs on the ground, and she lost her speech for the next few minutes. Bringing her eyes to Jack, she alarmingly questioned. "Jack, You have Cancer???"
