Chapter 106: Chapter 106 Watch Everything Burn
Riley’s cold eyes locked onto Kingsley’s restrained figure and he really liked the view. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a leather strap.
"Turn him around," Riley commanded sharply, his voice steady and filled with authority. "I want his back bare and facing me."
The men obeyed immediately, they twist the chain, and Kingsley was involuntarily turned around. His heart was beating loudly in his chest. He knew the worst was coming for him. He just needed to be strong until help came.
Riley’s gaze darkened. "Flog him slowly but methodically and make sure he feels every strike."
Jasmine turned pale as she shook her head. "No. No. Please don’t do that to him." She cried.
"Shh. I hate noisy women." Riley Drake snarled at her, forcing her to press her lips together even though her heart was bleeding.
"Be a good girl and shut your mouth before I make you." He added sternly.
He took a step back, watching with a cruel satisfaction as his men prepared to carry out his order.
Riley’s eyes gleamed with something darker. Kingsley looked rather unfazed which didn’t really give him the satisfaction he wanted. "You really want to play this game, Kingsley?"
Kingsley didn’t say a word. Riley frowned and nodded at the men. Two of his men raised the strips and slashed him with it.
Jasmine burst into tears as Kingsley hissed in pain. His back arched as he pressed his thin lips together, his eyes remained rigid though.
The act continued as the men flogged him.
Breathing hard, Kingsley twisted against the ropes once more, the rough chains hurt his wrists but held him firmly. His muscles trembled, every nerve screaming from the pain, but he refused to give Riley the victory.
"You think you can resist forever?" Riley taunted, stepping closer, the strap still coiled in his hand like a predator ready to strike.
Kingsley’s voice was rough but steady. "I have to. For them."
Riley smirked darkly. "For your family. That’s why I’m here. To teach you what it means to lose everything."
The strap came down again, sharp and unforgiving, drawing a fresh line of fire across Kingsley’s skin.
The leather whipped down, slashing across his back like a burning brand. Pain exploded with every strike, sharp and relentless. Kingsley’s breath hitched, his body instinctively jerking with each blow, but he bit back a growl that threatened to leave his throat.
Jasmine almost convulsed. It was as if she was the one being flogged. It was painful seeing him in such a state. All for what?? A crime he didn’t commit.
Jasmine’s vision blurred, tears streaming down her pale cheeks as she struggled against the thick leather straps binding her to the wheelchair. Her eyes were wide with terror, fixed desperately on Kingsley’s battered form.
"No... please," she sobbed, her voice trembling with fear and heartbreak. "Please, stop! Let him go... he doesn’t deserve this—he’s done nothing wrong!"
Her sobs grew louder, raw and pleading, echoing in the warehouse as she watched the man she loved endure the cruel punishment
Kingsley’s muscles screamed with every movement, the rough rope cutting into his wrists and shoulders. Sweat mixed with the sting of bruises, but he refused to let the pain break him.
Riley’s cruel smile only fueled a fire deep inside him — a fire that burned for Jasmine, for the baby, for everyone he loved.
"Nice resolve. I like that." Riley took a step back and four of his men began to go turn by turn. One at a time, slashing Kingsley’s back until it was no longer recognizable.
The strip was like a viper before crashing down across Kingsley’s back with a sharp, punishing crack. The sting was immediate and brutal—fire spreading through his skin, every nerve hurt and Kingsley’s growl was filled with agony.
His body jerked involuntarily, muscles trembling as he was being brutally beaten. Sweat poured down his face, mixing with the dust and blood dripping from old wounds that were reopened by the lashes.
The leather strap cracked sharply through the air once more, a terrifying sound that filled the cold warehouse. Kingsley’s back tensed in anticipation, every nerve stood at high alert, every muscle coiled.
"Poor Kingsley Elm. Known as the Billionaire Monster who murdered his parents.." Riley raised a hand to his men, a signal for them to stop in their brutality.
Jasmine was flushed red, her eyes were swollen from too much crying.
Kingsley raised his eyes, his eyes that had turned bloodshot. His hair was glued to his forehead due to the stream of sweat on his body.
"I think that was the most interesting part of my revenge plan." Riley smirked as he came nearer, his eyes were taunting and cold. "I’m sure you already know that incident that ruined your life was orchestrated by me."
Kingsley snarled but didn’t say a word. The blinding pain forced him to bit on his lower lip.
Riley continued. "Can’t believe I ruined your life for so long. Everyone thought you did it but in fact—I did the whole thing. From the plotting, getting my people into your all-glory mansion and eliminating your parents. And had you lying there like a coward. Trust me,boy—you were so pathetic that I almost felt pity for you."
Kingsley gritted his teeth. "Enjoy while it lasts."
Then the strap struck again....hard, merciless, biting into his skin like a live flame.
A deep growl escaped his lips as fire exploded across his shoulder blades, as if his flesh had been seared by an invisible blade.
A violent shudder ran through him, but he clenched his jaw and bit down hard on his lower lip.
The room grew colder as Riley paced slowly back and forth, dragging out the moment like a cat playing with its prey. Kingsley’s eyes never left the man’s shadow, searching for any chance, any weakness.
Suddenly, the sound of a faint click echoed through the warehouse. Kingsley’s heart leapt — the bomb’s red light flickered faster, a warning that time was running out.
"Kingsley," Riley said, his voice was soft but deadly. "Your time isn’t infinite."
Kingsley’s mind raced, looking around desperately for something.....anything that could help him break free. The ropes were thick, but maybe with enough strength and will, he could loosen just a little.
"Why are you doing this?" Kingsley asked, voice raw but steady. "What do you want from me besides pain?"
Riley stopped, leaning close enough for Kingsley to see the cold fury in his eyes. "I want justice. I want my place. And I want you to watch it all burn down."
A sudden noise echoed outside—the faint but urgent sound of footsteps and voices. Kingsley’s head snapped toward the door.
"Looks like someone else is coming," Riley said, almost amused. "Let’s see how long your friends last."
Kingsley’s breath hitched, hope sparking fiercely. Maybe help was near. Or....Not.
