Reborn as the Third Prince: To Build and Conquer my way to Royalty.
Chapter 39: Getting ready for the Adon Vale

Chapter 39: Getting ready for the Adon Vale

After he had completed the exam, Sylus left the chamber.

The professors who evaluated him seemed pretty shocked at his results and were barely able to form meaningful words when they told him the results of the exam would be out before evening.

He most likely passed it. Then again, he might also be wrong as well.

His luck was not something he should ever underestimate.

Stepping out into the open, Zani was the first to spot him amid the crowd.

She quickly sprinted towards him, her face filled with worry.

"Lord Sylus," she grabbed his hand, leaning forward, "How was it? Hard? Did you do well? Or did you pass it?"

Giving a reply right away would steal the joy of seeing Zani’s cute reaction.

Very rarely does she ever let her guard down like this.

Now carrying a complacent expression, Sylus petted her head.

"Look at you, being all worried about me. Aren’t you just the cutest?"

Zani’s face was beet red, but she didn’t let down; she genuinely wanted to know.

"Please answer the question."

Sylus proceeded to put one hand in his pocket.

"The results are going to be announced soon, so just like you, I don’t know if I passed the exam."

"I see."

Dismay washed over Zani.

Who would have thought this was the same girl who could barely show her expression when she first arrived at the castle?

Now, she is so easy to read, like an open book.

Sylus touched her shoulder.

"There’s no reason for you to worry so much. It’s not like Father is going to kill me if I fail the exam."

"I... know."

"Besides, I did pretty well; that much I’m certain about. If anything, we should be more shocked if I don’t pass the exam."

She looked at him.

"Are you saying that just to make me feel better?"

"Yes. Now let’s go; I’m getting tired just standing around here."

Sylus began to make his way through the crowd, all eyes fixed on him.

It took a while for Zani to catch up.

"Lord Sylus, is there somewhere you want to go? Wouldn’t it be better to remain in the hall in case the results are being announced? Many students are doing the same."

Which was true; some of the students did terribly in the exam, and they were still waiting.

Sylus was sure he saw some nobles waiting as well.

"I already spoke to the professors. The mail will be sent to the palace once they are done."

He continued walking.

Having to stay there while they announced his result was both a bad and a good thing, depending on whether he passed or failed.

If he passed, many people would harbor deep jealousy towards him, and there was a high chance a small party would be put in place right after.

But if he failed, everyone would look at him as yet another disappointment in the Astrodial family.

It was best to avoid it altogether.

And besides, he had other things to worry about, like the Adon Vale.

Zani quite didn’t understand his reason for leaving; regardless, she didn’t bother asking him.

...

Later that night, Sylus had made his way back to the castle.

While Zani was with Gilgath, assisting him with training, Sylus made himself comfortable in the library.

This was where he would often spend most of his time.

He prided himself on the fact that he could gather as much knowledge as he pleased without having any sort of limit placed on his head.

For the past few years growing up, the MH 4 car was not the only thing Sylus built for the kingdom.

The mic that was used to speak to the students at the exam was his invention. There were many others that he built, but not once did he take credit for any of them.

Instead, it was marked under a family business company called Astrodial Corp.

Sylus gave Martin the idea to start up a family company in order to boost the income of the family without having to rely on only one source.

Because of how good the products were, many people wanted to get their hands on them and were quick to purchase them.

It didn’t take long for Verdenez to become the top kingdom on the continent, now owning over 500 different sites with products ready to be sold.

This was all because Sylus kept on studying for more wisdom to understand what was needed in the kingdom and how he was going to fix it.

He ran the numbers, engineered success, and built a future others couldn’t even imagine. But all of it—every invention, every innovation—was built with one goal in mind: to be worthy of the crown... and to survive his brother.

With a single gesture, he closed the book he was reading and placed it on the table.

’Sigh! Making a device that can stream sources from multiple areas might not be as easy as I thought. Perhaps it’s time to take a break.’

He had been fetching new products for the family for years; taking a break for a few months or so would not hurt the family business.

Not to mention his brother was arriving tomorrow, and with his brother’s appearance comes the Adon Vale.

It was right within his reach—the one thing he had been waiting for.

Settling back on the chair, Sylus decided to bring out his stats.

Willing to see how far he had progressed, and measure his chances for the Adon Vale.

With a bright shimmer, the screen displayed in front of him.

[You have activated the stats display.]

Name: Sylus Von Astrodial

Divinity: Star of Trinity

Star blessing: Catalyst Star.

Title: [The Fated Prince], [The Master], [The Philosopher]

Karma Point: 88/100

Divine Blessing: Blessing of Knowledge

Aspect: [The Chosen One], [Lord of the People], [Lordship Avail], [King of the Land], [Assimilation], [Voice of the Master]

Staring at the screen, it was clear to see Sylus was not at all impressed by it.

’Right...’

There was a good explanation as to why he had only one divine blessing after all these years.

One of the reasons was that he was saving the points for something else entirely.

Other than that, most of the points were spent on getting new weapons—weapons that he was saving specifically for the Adon Vale.

While it was true that his mana level and fighting abilities had increased over the years—

So much so that he awakened his blazers multiple times—

The question still stood—

Was he truly strong enough to defeat his brother?
