The moment the gesture completed, the two maids moved in perfect synchronization.

Liana lunged first. She twisted Javier's wrist and flipped him over onto his stomach, one knee pressing between his shoulder blades. He struggled, but Gloria knelt beside him gracefully, sliding her hand around his ankle and bending his leg upward until it locked at an impossible angle.

"That's… that's not 'nothing'!!" Javier cried, starting to wriggle like a fish on dry land.

"First wife~," Gloria cooed gently.

"Yes, second wife~?"

In that instant, panic gave Javier a divine boost of strength.

He tore through the rope like a wild animal and bolted through the nearest door in a blur, screaming:

"HEEEEEEEEELP!!!"

Felicia stared at the empty hallway where Javier had just vanished with a trail of dust, then turned toward Liana and Gloria—still sipping tea like nothing happened.

"Are you both seriously going to cut his… his…" she paused, eyes wide in disbelief, "…thing?"

Liana glanced sideways at her with a playful smirk. "No~ we're not that cruel. If we really did that…" She leaned closer, whispering like sharing a secret. "...how would we ever get children from him~?"

Gloria chuckled gently, brushing back her hair. "Ara~ It's more fun when he panics~"

Felicia sighed in relief, placing a hand on her chest. "So… we're not chasing and capturing him now?"

Liana stood, dusting off her skirt. "No need. He'll come back."

Gloria nodded with a warm smile. "After all… he already knows."

Felicia blinked. "Knows?"

"He knows he can't run from us forever," Liana said, her voice smooth.

"And deep down… he misses us more than we miss him."

Liana narrowed her eyes and leaned in, still gently running the whetstone along the edge of her knife.

"Buddy~" she said sweetly, casting a glance at Javier's beloved Pekko, who was happily pecking at the ground nearby.

Buddy froze.

Slowly, the bird turned his head. One eye focused on Liana.

"You know…" Liana continued with an innocent smile. "If you don't bring our dear young master back~ Felicia here might get a little hungry. Ever tried roast Pekko, Felicia?"

Felicia flinched. "Wha—!? I don't—"

But Gloria placed a finger gently over Felicia's lips. "Ara~ Let it be, dear princess~"

Buddy blinked. Once. Twice.

Then—

Cuquawked?!

Without another thought, Buddy turned tail and bolted, his powerful legs kicking dust into the air as he dashed in the direction Javier had run, squawking loudly like a panicked seagull being chased by a frying pan.

Liana stood up and cracked her knuckles. "Good boy~"

Gloria adjusted her glasses. "He learns fast."

Buddy was now in full pursuit, sprinting across the cobbled road with furious speed. His target? Javier—who was already a good distance ahead, dodging between crates and barrels like a man on a mission.

Javier glanced back, saw the fast-approaching bird, and smirked.

"Buddy~ You traitor bird! You really were going to drag me back, huh?"

He reached into his magic storage and pulled out a steaming slab of roasted wyvern meat. With a precise toss, he sent it flying.

Cuquawked!!

Buddy's eyes lit up. The scent hit him like a spell.

The bird screeched to a halt mid-run, caught the meat in his beak, and began pecking at it joyfully.

"Hah! I knew it! That's my loyal Buddy!!" Javier ran back toward him and hopped on his back in one smooth motion. "Alright, let's get out of here before those two catch us—"

But before Buddy could even twitch—

Snap!

A magic circle flared beneath them. Glowing violet chains shot upward like serpents, binding Buddy's legs and wrapping tightly around Javier's waist and arms.

"Eh?"

A soft, sweet voice echoed behind them.

"Where do you think you're going, young master~?"

Javier turned his head slowly.

"L-Liana? H-hey now, let's talk this out—calmly!"

Liana appeared, step by step, out of the shadows like a demon summoned from a lover's grudge.
