Chapter 631: Is Abigail Feeling Sorry for Me?
Chapter 631: Chapter 631: Is Abigail Feeling Sorry for Me?
Brandon Piers caused such a commotion that Abigail Green’s mind was distracted and her repressed emotions relaxed significantly.
Throughout the trip, she behaved especially obediently. Unfortunately, she still couldn’t escape her fate of being pressed down that night.
The man who flipped positions completely forgot what he had said before, not worrying at all about breaking her and diligently continued his cultivation.
Poor Abigail, she slept in until the sun was high the next day, not only being laughed at by Aunt Claudia and Juliet Rosa but even Teddy had learned a new word, "shame."
Abigail was so embarrassed that she didn’t want to get out of bed.
But Clara Smith woke up and wanted to see her.
Abigail anticipated that Clara would want to see her, but she hadn’t expected it to be so soon.
"I’ll go with you." Brandon didn’t ask if Abigail wanted to go because he knew his dear little chubby would definitely go.
Abigail didn’t know what Clara would choose, but no matter what she chose, she still had to see her.
She just rubbed her sore legs and glared at the man angrily. "I’ll go by myself."
"Can you go by yourself?" Brandon looked at Abigail’s pouting face and smiled mischievously.
"Who says I can’t? You stay home and rest well!" Abigail looked at the man with disdain, especially at his smile, feeling that he was becoming less and less reserved.
"Is Abigail feeling sorry for me?" Hearing this, Brandon raised an eyebrow, his eyes filled with amusement.
Abigail, "..." Who feels sorry for him? She might as well feel sorry for herself!
"Heh, don’t worry. I’m still in good shape. If you don’t believe me, I’ll prove it again tonight, but now let’s go to the hospital first." Brandon said this, patting the back of Abigail’s hand soothingly.
Abigail, "..." His words made it sound like she was insatiable. Damn man!
"Hmm?" Seeing that Abigail didn’t respond, Brandon raised an eyebrow.
"Come here." Abigail crooked her finger at him, looking at his smug expression.
Brandon leaned closer, curiously looking at Abigail.
Who knew the next moment, Abigail grabbed his arm, got up, and fiercely bit his neck.
Brandon let out a muffled grunt, not from pain, but his previously clear gaze suddenly darkened. "Abigail, do you know what you’re doing?"
"Hmph, now take me to the hospital." Abigail, satisfied with the teeth marks on his neck, commanded haughtily.
Unexpectedly, Brandon pinched her chin. "Lighting a fire and wanting to run away?"
Abigail looked at him in shock. "Who... who lit a fire? I just... just gave a little bite."
"Just?" Brandon repeated Abigail’s last words and then leaned close to her ear. "Abigail, you really have no clue about your own charm."
The man’s warm breath and teasing words made Abigail’s already sore legs quiver. "Brandon, let’s go to the hospital."
This sudden softening gesture showed how deep the psychological shadow of the past few nights had left on Abigail. She really doubted whether she could go out today if she didn’t plead to be spared.
"Pfft." Brandon rarely saw Abigail act coquettishly during the day. Hearing this, he was extremely delighted, biting lightly on her plump earlobe. "Okay."
Abigail let out a deep sigh of relief, tapping her thigh. "Help me get down."
She was back to being haughty.
Brandon smiled and scooped her up horizontally.
Not expecting it, Abigail let out a startled yell, drawing the attention of Aunt Claudia who thought something had happened. She hurriedly ran in, only to see Brandon holding Abigail. Her old face turned red. "Um... you two continue. I’ll call you for dinner."
The two about to leave, "..."
"Aunt Claudia, we’re going to the hospital." Abigail explained in embarrassment.
Aunt Claudia got anxious. "Going to the hospital? Is Abigail okay? What’s wrong?"
"I... I’m fine." Seeing Aunt Claudia’s urgent look, Abigail felt even more embarrassed.
"You can’t leave and you say you’re fine? Is it because the last injury hasn’t healed?" Aunt Claudia originally thought they were just having fun. Now, hearing they were going to the hospital and seeing Abigail’s unusually red face, she couldn’t just dismiss it.
Since the explosion, Aunt Claudia had always been worried about Abigail’s health.
"Aunt Claudia, I’m really fine. We’re going to the hospital to visit someone." Hearing Aunt Claudia really misunderstood, Abigail hurried to explain. After explaining, she felt even more embarrassed and glared at the man holding her. "Put me down, I’ll walk myself!"
"Didn’t you say your legs were sore?" Brandon acted as if he didn’t see Abigail’s embarrassment at all.
"I didn’t!"
"Oh." Brandon didn’t care much, then looked at Aunt Claudia who finally understood the situation. "Aunt Claudia, Abigail is fine. Rest assured."
"Hehe, as long as she’s fine, as long as she’s fine. You young people... hmm, your relationship is really good." Aunt Claudia held back for a long time, then said this, waving her hand. "Going to see a patient needs to be quick. It’s not early."
"Teddy will be with you then, Aunt Claudia." Brandon shamelessly said, carrying Abigail out.
Watching his unperturbed manner, Abigail wanted to bury her head. Indeed, gentleman behavior was all pretentious.
Behind them, Aunt Claudia nodded contentedly. It was good they had a strong relationship.
After sighing, she went to look after Teddy with Juliet.
Once in the car, Abigail freed herself from Brandon’s arms, glaring at the man with her enchanting, moist peach blossom eyes.
Brandon looked at those glistening eyes. "Don’t look at me like that."
Hearing this, Abigail, "You..." couldn’t he think of something else?
Sure enough, men couldn’t be hungry for too long.
Fortunately, Alex was driving. The man was still somewhat restrained and didn’t tease her in the car.
But upon reaching the hospital, the relaxed atmosphere between them changed suddenly. Abigail looked at Daniel, who was waiting for her, with mixed emotions.
With a specific direction, investigating many things became simpler. Daniel, or rather Gavin Richardson, was Clara Smith’s adopted son, taken in by Clara and Gary Richardson twenty-three years ago.
Gary Richardson was Clara Smith’s husband, twenty years her senior, who passed away five years ago.
According to the information, Gary had a loving wife who unfortunately passed away early. Later, he rescued Clara accidentally, eventually falling in love with her. Clara agreed to marry Gary to give Gavin a family.
Afterward, Clara poured almost all her love into raising this adopted child.
So Gavin had deep feelings for Clara.
"Sis." While Abigail was unsure how to face Daniel emotionally, Daniel was the first to call her sister.
That natural term of endearment made Abigail pause in her steps, looking at Daniel in surprise. Did he accept her already?
Didn’t he find the situation absurd?
And did he know that she was now at least five years younger than him?
Seeing Abigail’s reaction, Daniel seemed a bit uneasy. "I looked into some things about Abigail Green last night."
It was understandable that a person’s character could change significantly due to major upheavals, but such a drastic transformation from a waste to a genius didn’t make sense.
Coupled with Grandpa Smith’s attitude and everything Jeffrey Foster had done, Daniel was completely convinced that Abigail Green was Abigail.
She was the sister he had always admired, and the one his mother couldn’t face yet couldn’t let go of!
