Chapter 615: Chapter 615: You know I have no resistance towards you

Abigail stayed in the hospital for three days. The pain in her body gradually eased, but her longing for Teddy grew deeper and deeper.

"Still not here?" Brandon Piers had promised that Aunt Claudia and Juliet Rosa would bring Teddy to the hospital today. Abigail had started waiting as soon as she woke up this morning, and this was the third time she had asked Brandon.

At Abigail’s strong insistence, Brandon had finally separated his bed from hers. His mood was not good at the moment. Hearing Abigail’s urgent desire to see Teddy, he felt a pang of jealousy but still restrained his displeasure and replied, "Alex went to pick him up. Wait a bit longer."

"Oh." Abigail sighed and leaned back on the bed, glancing toward the doorway from time to time.

Brandon couldn’t bear it any longer. "You never admitted you were Teddy’s mom before." So why are you so anxious now?

"I didn’t remember before." Abigail didn’t even spare Brandon a glance.

"Now that you’ve remembered, you haven’t treated me like this." Brandon mumbled a low Tsukkomi.

Abigail continued to stare at the door. "It’s different."

"How is it different?" Brandon was dissatisfied.

Abigail finally turned her head to look at Brandon and replied seriously, "Because you’re not my son. You don’t call me Mom."

Brandon was stunned for a second, then he looked at Abigail oddly. "Mom."

"Pfft..." Abigail was about to take a sip from her water cup when she heard this, and she spit it out in shock. Her small face turned red as she looked at Brandon in disbelief. This man was utterly shameless. Didn’t he remember he used to be a gentleman?

Brandon deliberately ignored Abigail’s reaction and looked at her with a heartbroken expression. "I never thought you were this kind of Abigail."

Damn!

Abigail wanted to strangle this man.

"Don’t look at me like that. You know I have no resistance to you." Brandon looked innocently at Abigail as she stared at him in disbelief, her dark, sparkling eyes full of shock.

Abigail felt her worldview had been refreshed, gaining a new understanding of the man before her.

Fortunately, just as Abigail was thinking of ways to deal with this man, there was a knock on the door.

It was Aunt Claudia and Juliet Rosa with Teddy.

"Mommy, mommy..." As soon as the door opened, the little guy reached out his small hands and pounced in Abigail’s direction.

Before the wedding, Brandon had taken Teddy away. Abigail hadn’t seen him for four days. She had held him briefly on the wedding day, but then the explosion happened. When she fainted, she thought she might never see Teddy again. Now, seeing the little guy, she felt a mix of guilt and heartache. However, she had just been teased by Brandon; hearing Teddy call for her only made her blush and glare angrily at Brandon.

That glare made Brandon feel quite complacent. He happily took Teddy from Aunt Claudia’s arms. "You little brat! You only call for Mommy and not Daddy?"

"Mommy, mommy..." Teddy, in Brandon’s arms, kept stretching his little head toward Abigail.

Abigail quickly reached out to take him, but Brandon stopped her with a look. "You can look, but you can’t hold."

"Why?" Abigail immediately felt wronged.

"You know your own condition. He doesn’t understand and might hurt you if he acts up. I’ll hold him while you play with him." Saying this, Brandon sat next to Abigail’s bed with Teddy in his arms.

Abigail said nothing.

She felt that this man simply didn’t want her to hold the child.

"Is Abigail seriously hurt?" Aunt Claudia, worried, stepped forward.

"Aunt Claudia, I’m fine now. You’ve had a hard time during this period." Abigail looked at Aunt Claudia, who had lost weight taking care of Teddy and helping Brandon search for her, and spoke apologetically.

Aunt Claudia was overjoyed to hear Abigail’s familiar tone. She opened her mouth in surprise. "Abigail, you... you remember?"

"I remembered part of it, but it’s not all connected yet." Abigail softly explained, watching Aunt Claudia’s excited face.

But Aunt Claudia was delighted, nervously clutching her clothes. "No hurry, no hurry. Take your time to remember the rest."

"Mm." Abigail nodded.

"Mommy, mommy..." Ignored by his mother and restrained by his devilish father from being held, Teddy sought attention in protest.

Seeing this, Aunt Claudia smiled warmly, with tears in her eyes. "I’ll let you three chat. I’ll be outside."

"Aunt Claudia..."

"Spend more time with Teddy and Brandon. They both miss you very much." Aunt Claudia knew how much Teddy missed his mother and how hard Brandon had worked to find Abigail. She smiled and left the room with Juliet Rosa, unwilling to interrupt their reunion.

Once the door was closed, the room was left with just the family of three.

Teddy kept struggling in Brandon’s arms, trying to get to Abigail, but Brandon pulled him back each time.

The little fellow fought over and over, failing but trying again.

Looking at Teddy’s persistence, Abigail’s heart melted. "Let me hold him for a while. I won’t touch my wound, and besides, you’re hurt worse than me. If you’re fine, I’ll be fine too."

"Isn’t that different? Mine are just superficial wounds; you hurt your head." Brandon didn’t let go.

Abigail gave Brandon a disdainful look. How did that sound like an insult?

"I insist on holding him." Abigail had missed Teddy so much these past days. Now that her son was within reach, this man wouldn’t let her hold him, making her unhappy and a touch willful.

Brandon thought he might have a masochistic streak. Why else would he find her fierceness endearing? He couldn’t help but smile. He reached out and poked Abigail’s cheek. "Okay, but only for three minutes. If you feel any discomfort, give him back to me. And..."

Abigail’s expression softened upon his agreement, but she became wary when he added, "And what?"

Brandon didn’t answer her. Instead, he stood up and handed Teddy over.

Seeing Teddy’s chubby, white face, Abigail felt elated and quickly reached out to take him, forgetting about Brandon’s "and." But just before Teddy reached her arms, Brandon’s handsome face came closer, and she heard, "And you have to give me a kiss first."

With that, Brandon kissed Abigail on her lips. Teddy, once again nestled in Brandon’s arm, squawked in protest. Unlike the fervent kiss at their wedding, today Brandon was tender, kissing her softly and making Abigail lose herself.

"Ah, ah ah..."

Initially thinking he was about to be hugged by his mother, Teddy was instead subjected to his parents’ PDA. Fortunately, he didn’t know what PDA was. He just felt aggrieved not being in his mother’s arms, crying out in protest.

Caught off guard by the kiss, Abigail’s eyes grew dreamy. It took her a moment to hear Teddy’s cries. She quickly pushed Brandon away and saw the triumphant smile on his handsome face.

Her heart trembled, and Abigail tried to steady her erratic heartbeat. This man was indeed a fox, one specialized in stealing hearts!
