"Thank you for your patronage!" Tantan bowed ninety degrees by the time Ash and Yunxian stepped out from the store.

As for Zhou Rui, she was already swimming in her sea of endless inspirations, she locked herself in the study where she designed her masterpiece and she would not stop or sleep until she finished.

Yunxian chuckled joyously. As a fellow woman, she perfectly understood why the other women were looking at him with such reference.

"It’s given! Because right now, without any exaggeration, you are the most handsome man in the street." Yunxian replied teasingly.

Yunxian walked a tad closer than before until her shoulder touched his, evoking more jealous gaze from the onlookers.

"Whatever..." Ash sighed in resignation. "Anyway, should we get something to eat? I am famished!"

"But of course..." Yunxian looked him in the eyes. "Do you have some places in mind?"

"There’s only one, actually."

"Oh? The Flying Fairy’s Tavern?"

"Indeed. However, the place is usually packed with raunchy Common Mortals. I doubt you would find it a pleasant dining experience for a fair lady of your stature."

"Does the food taste good, though?"

"They taste heavenly." Ash admitted.

"Then I don’t see why we shouldn’t go there. Let’s go!"

Yunxian tugged his hand forward, inviting him to have a little jog while giggling like a young woman. Before long, they arrived at the Tavern which was situated in the South Borough. The passersby who happened to see the couple were awed in unison since there’s rarely Cultivator who casually strode in this borough aside from the Ma Family’s members.

"So, this is the place?" Yunxian inquired.

"Yes. Shall we?"

"En!"

As soon as he pushed the door inside wise, the guests fell silent for a moment, looking at him scrutinizingly. Ash was fumbled, they all were wearing nice robes and jewelleries that adorned their fingers. With just a glance, Ash was aware that these people are wealthy merchants!

Before the atmosphere became more awkward for him to handle, the cute barmaid, Laufei trotted from the kitchen to greet him. Right now, the young elf wore a nicer black and white maid dress that emphasized her pretty, and petite figure.

"Welcome back, Lord Xiao Hûo. We have been waiting for your return!" Laufei bowed courteously. Seeing the female confidant beside him, Laufei understood the assignment immediately. "A table for two, I presume?"

"Yes, please." Yunxian replied softly.

"Understood! This way please!"

Afterward, the two were ushered onto the second floor. As to provide them with a touch of privacy, Laufei went to the back room and brought out the bamboo room separators and set them in a half circle.

"What would you like to order today?" Laufei was ready with her notebook after handing them the menu and poured some tea for both.

Yunxian was askew, everything that was written in the menu sounded very delicious. "If it’s not too much of a hassle, I would like to try everything on the menu."

Laufei, as well as the other guest who heard it were looking so puzzled.

"A-are you sure, my lady? It would be too much for two, is it not?"

"No. It would be perfect. You see, my close confidant here is in need of nutritious food to recover from his injury." Yunxian said in ladylike manner.

"Ermm... Understood, my lady. Please wait for a bit longer."

"Take your time..." Yunxian waved her hand as Laufei trudged downstairs.

While waiting for the order to be served, Laufei was so busy running upstairs and downstairs to serve them with snacks and cold dishes.

On the other hand, Yunxian hummed jovially just for being by his side in this small and cozy space. After waiting for roughly almost an hour, the dishes were served by the Tavern’s owner herself. And it would need another table to fit everything in front of him.

Without further ado, Ash expressed his gratitude for the meal and dive right into it. Truth to be told, maintaining his human form made him get hungry easily since his small body needs to keep up with his metabolism as an actual Immortal Beast inside.

Within half an hour, Ash had finished every plate without being shy about it. It’s a doctor’s order that tells him to eat more and he couldn’t possibly defy her.

"I didn’t realize that you knew that I am quite famished so to speak," said Ash while wiping his mouth with a handkerchief.

"Fufufu. I’m your physician, remember? Of course I know about the state of your body. Moreover, your body is in its peak puberty, it’s normal for young man like you to eat more."

"Thank you. That’s... very observant of you."

The two had a small talk afterward, and everything was so pleasant. However, a man with a pair of ample cheeks smiled nefariously as he approached the table.

"Pardon the intrusion." He said nonchalantly, still toothpicking the meat between his front teeth. "Are you Xiao Hûo?"

"Depends on whom I speak with. I have many names under my belt." Ash cocked his head upward, looking at the fat man in disdain.

"Name’s Wu Puhua! Jade Grade Merchant from Mount Wu Sect! I have heard the rumor that you are the young Jade Grade Appraiser in Long River who put Ma Family in shame. Henceforth, I would like you to Appraise an item in my disposal. How much is your fee?"

"How much money do you have in your pocket?" Ash said with a playful smirk.
