Tang Yunxian dropped her basket of medicines as she opened the door and saw topless Ash who was doing an upside down push up with one finger while his legs were as straight as poles above him. She wasn’t surprised to see the half-naked man, of course. She was genuinely bewildered by how fast he could recover from that wound as someone with a low Cultivation Base. It’s only been five days and his wound had fully healed.

Furthermore, the aura around him was now more palpable than before. Though his aura wasn’t all that flashy like all those buffoons, she could see the stable, calm, and strong aura enveloping his person.

"Young Lord?!" Tang Yunxian approached hastily. "You shouldn’t do any physical activity just yet!"

Ash lowered his legs one after another. He then walked towards the table to wear his robe that he put there for his convenience.

"I couldn’t help it. My body is feeling all itchy and uncomfortable after lying down for almost a week now," Ash said. "Thank you for nursing me for all of this time. Lady Yunxian. How much did I owe you?"

Yunxian knelt down to pick the medicines that she dropped and put them back into the basket. She then replied briskly; "There’s no need for that. All of your medical bills had been paid by the Ma Family."

Seeing a woman was kneeling below him, Ash couldn’t let himself just stand there like a dumb statue. He opted to help gather the medicines on the floor. At some point, their hands reached out for the last herb on the floor together until their fingers were touching each other.

Yunxian was flustered like a teenage girl, betraying her facade of a mature woman who had experienced a few men in her life. However, after a decade of abstinence, she felt the unusual quaver in her heart once again.

"Are you alright?" Ash asked sincerely. "Your face is red right now."

"Y-yes. I think I am just lacking some sleep which causes mild dehydration." Yunxian averted her gaze and quickly stood up. "More importantly. I would need to do the last physical check before I discharged you from my clinic for the record."

"Sure. Please do as you see fit."

Ash let her touch his body thoroughly to find any defect that might lead into a latent disease that would haunt him in the future. Although she did with such professionalism, Ash noticed the changing pattern in her breathing, her heartbeat rising as she put her ears onto his chest to listen to his heart.

At this moment, Yunxian felt content, and would spend the entire morning just listening to his heart and his calming breathing sound. However, she was aware that she needs to be professional, so she pulled away, averting her gaze. Nevertheless, she couldn’t deny that she felt so inexplicably happy right now.

"En, I don’t notice any oddity in your breathing. You are completely healed."

Ash smiled and bowed courteously. Afterward, he pulled his tattered robe together to cover his chest. Noticing that he would just walk out in a less presentable state, Yunxian immediately halted him.

"Do you really want to go out with that tattered robe and without a pair of boots?!"

Ash examined his clothes and realized that he was looking like a beggar. Since the [Crimson Wedding Robe] that was gifted to him by Huxian had [Self-Regenation] ability, he didn’t worry too much about his upper appearance. However, walking around the city would surely raise suspicions on his person.

"Right... I completely forgot about my boots. I must have lost them when I ran from that beast. Do you have any recommended clothing stores for me to check out?"

"My goodness..." Yunxian shook her head a couple of times. "Wait here, I will bring you a pair of flip-flop shoes for temporary use."

After a brisk moment, she returned from the backroom with a pair of regular shoes that would be used by anyone on a daily basis. As an Early Stage Qi Gathering Cultivator, she clearly understands that he would need high quality items that could withstand his power.

"Put these on and let’s go to the city together!"

Ash did what he was told to do without saying anything although the size was a tad bigger, he didn’t complain about that trivial matter.

"What about your clinic though?"

"It’s okay, the nurses would survive without me for an hour or two. Besides, it’s my lunch break, I can use it for whatever I want to do."

"If you insist." Ash smiled cordially. "Let’s find something nice for you as well."

"Fufufu. It’s decided then! I will change into my casual outfit. Please wait outside."

"En! I will wait by the doors then."

Not even half of an hour later, Yunxian strode out of the front door and was already donned in a simple yet elegant pink robe. A silk shawl adorned her delicate arms while circling around her thin and slim waist.

She let her long black hair drop loosely on her shoulder down to her hips, cascading down like a waterfall on a full moon night. Why would she need an exaggerated hairdo while she was already so beautiful?

She twirled around a few times before him, giggling softly like a lady should be. "How do I look?"

"Simply beautiful, Miss Yunxian."

"Fufu... thank you."

"Shall we?" Ash offered a hand to her which was immediately accepted by her. She didn’t mind that her hand was being held by him. In fact, it made her really happy.

During his recovery, both of them were engaged in various conversations regarding many topics that happened in the city. Before they knew it, each of them thought of themselves as close confidants for each other and the feeling was mutual.

Ash really respected her as a woman and also as a person. Henceforth, he felt a bit awkward if he ought to romance her like he usually would do. However, both of them found comfort in each other’s company.

"Where do we go?" Ash inquired.

"To my friend’s place. She owns a boutique just down the road. She’s the finest seamstress that I have ever met. But, she’s quite a unique person with peculiar mind. A genius in her own rights."
