In the next morning, Ash and the Queen of Arachnids finally emerged from the nuptial chamber. Not only did he save the fate of the Arachnids, he also managed to re-establish the vein of Primordial Qi into the cave so the Immortal Beast could visit this cave to cultivate or to coupling with the Arachnids if they desired so.

After a heartfelt farewell with the other seven Arachnids, who were none other than Lady Zhi’s clones, Ash and his companions set out for the subterranean journey through the winding cave system and were led by Lady Zhi’s herself.

It took them roughly a month to reach the other side of the river where the City of Long River was situated. Before long, they emerged amidst a pristine, lustrous valley.

"You may see the city’s skyline after walking a day from here. May your journey be a pleasant one, my lord." Lady Zhi giggled impishly. She was looking forward to his return to her lair.

"Likewise...Lord Xiao Hûo." Lady Zhi placed a peck on his cheek.

Ash’s face turned rosy after that little peck. It felt very personal, and it even came for Lady Zhi who rarely called somebody’s name due to her high social status in the Immortal Beast Society.

"En! Farewell, my lady."

With just one kick to the ground, he was already soaring high to the sky, flying effortlessly by riding the wind. Lady Zhi couldn’t even feel the trace of him using any Qi, even just a strand.

After a polite bow to the Queen of Arachnids, Ye Yinghui followed after him into the sky, flying beside him obediently.

"My lord, are you sure to leave your relationship with her ladyship just as it is? She could be your valuable Tamed Beast, no?" Ye Yinghui chimed beside him, projecting her Mind Voice into his mind.

"Ah, anyway, we only eat dried meat for the past month! Before we enter the city, do you want to hunt some fresh game?" Ash teased the Earth Drake.

Hearing the word "hunt" from his Mind Voice, Shanguang immediately awakened from her slumber. "Did anyone say hunt?!"

"I did, Xiao Shan."

"Let me in! No, I mean, let me out, Master! My whole body is aching for the real hunt!"

Ash smiled, and then chuckled jovially. It’s always fresh air in his mind whenever he hears Shanguang’s cheerful, and innocent remarks.

"I know, I know. I will let you out once I find a suitable match up for you."

"A suitable match up?"

"Yes. If you want to become stronger, then it’s necessary for you to fight with a stronger enemy."

"That’s what I am talking about! I can’t wait, Master!"

Since it will be dangerous for him to stay in his Phoenix form near human settlement, by the time he landed, Ash opted to shift into his humanoid form. Masquerading himself as a humble traveler from a faraway country.

Even just a glance, the old man could guess that the young man in black was from a renowned sect or maybe a Prince from a powerful clan.

On the other hand, Ash, with his innate Night Vision, now could see the wounded old man clearly. His white silk hanfu was drenched in blood, an open wound on his abdomen was wide agape.

"Young Master, please help this Senior! And I will pay you back by a thousand folds! Even better, you may take my Dantian and turn it into a Cultivation Pill as long as you deliver this Infernal Worm’s Heart to my granddaughter!" Said the old man, offering him a still beating beast’s heart inside a cube glass.

"Seems like we found what we are looking for!" Ash turned to Shanguang, speaking to her through their Mind Voice. Meanwhile, the old man could only see the young man was interacting with the Ligress beast in a very cheerful gaze.

"Very well. I help you heal your mortal wound. Other than that, your fate is in your hands. However, I’d need to tell me about this Infernal Worm in detail and where we could find it."

"Fine. I will tell you everything I know."

"It’s a deal then."

Afterward, Ash helped the old man to circulate his Yang Qi by transferring his own little by little.
