Rebirth: Revenge of the abandoned heirress
Chapter 110: Whom would she choose?

Chapter 110: Whom would she choose?

Jazmine Harrison of the past had been too young and naive. Someone people loved to take advantage of. Jazmine Harrison of the present was a shrewd woman. She could judge a person with a single glance.

And in her view, Sarah Blackwood wasn’t a good person. A hypocrite, to be exact. Jazmine had already paid for what she had owed her by not taking revenge on Dorian Blackwood for separating them. As for what had happened to Sarah Blackwood’s hands, it was only her brother to blame for it.

That day, Sarah Blackwood was supposed to be attending a celebration party for winning an award. So it was supposed to be Jazmine Harrison alone in the penthouse. She was alone supposed to die.

Jazmine turned. Watching Sebastian Crowne standing at the door, she smiled. She walked to him and grabbed his arm. She looked at him with great affection in her eyes. Sebastian was shocked at her totally ’different’ response.

"Sebastian, you’re here?" Rolf must have been able to contact Sebastian in time. "I asked Rolf to contact you. We’ll be leaving for Beijing, so I thought it would be only appropriate if we gave Sarah Blackwood a visit."

Sarah Blackwood?

With a puzzled look, Sebastian glanced at Jazmine. "You remember everything? Are you not mad at me?" His voice was low.

"Why should I be?" Jazmine smiled at him sweetly. She hugged his arm tightly and looked at the pair of stupefied sisters with a calm smile.

Sebastian understood what she intended to do. His lips curled up. "God, I love this ’new’ you." Instead of being jealous or angry at him, Jazmine was showing them that he belonged to her. That he was hers, and they shouldn’t dare to think about stealing him. If it were the Jazmine Harrison of the past, she would have never done that. The Jazmine of the past was too demure to behave that way.

"Just earlier now, Annabel Blackwood had been telling us how the club manager had been trying to flatter her. She even said that he would ask the security to have me thrown out. I just came here to greet them. How rude of her to say that." Jazmine made a sad face and stealthily winked at Sebastian.

On the other side, Annabel was horrified. She didn’t have any idea what to say. She never could have expected the ’Devil’ to appear suddenly. Not in a hundred lifetimes would she dare to offend him.

Sebastian frowned when he saw Jazmine wink. He quickly understood what she wanted and hid his smile. Instead, he made a very serious face. "Did she really say that to you?" Sebastian feigned a suspicious face.

Annabel saw an opening in Sebastian’s suspicion. She assumed that he hadn’t heard her say those words to Jazmine. So if she denied it, not only would it make Sebastian dislike Jazmine for lying, it would also clear Annabel’s name. "Why are you lying, Jazmine? I understand you don’t like us, but why do you have to lie? I just asked you to be a little polite when you said mean things to my sister." Annabel looked like she was being wronged.

"Elder sister, stop..." Sarah Blackwood understood what was happening. She knew that Sebastian had been standing outside all that time. She wanted to stop her sister from falling into their trap, but Jazmine wasn’t going to give her that chance.

Jazmine gasped as if she were shocked. "Didn’t you also say that you’d have the club manager do some bad things to me to entertain you and your sister?" She once again made a vulnerable, sad face as she nudged closer to Sebastian as if seeking comfort for being bullied. "I was scared. What if Sebastian hadn’t come here in time? You would have done those things to me." She sobbed. "You said it would make Sebastian abandon me if these people t-touched me. Sebastian, would you abandon me if something like that happened?"

Was she scared? Not a bit! Instead, she was scaring Annabel! Annabel was so astonished at how someone could change this much that she temporarily forgot to notice the look on Sebastian’s face.

"I would never abandon you. I would make him pay a thousand times who dares to have any ill intentions toward you." Sebastian’s face darkened. Even though he knew Jazmine was acting, he couldn’t ignore that someone dared to say such things to his precious Jaz.

Annabel felt a sudden cold. When she had said that, she had kept her words ambiguous. But Jazmine opened it all up. "Stop accusing me wrongly, Jazmine! I never said anything of this sort! What kind of woman do you think I am? President Crowne knows best about my character. He knows I would never say anything like this! Why are you making a fool of yourself by saying such nonsense! No one is going to believe you!"

"Are you saying I’m lying?" Jazmine’s eyes were watery.

Sarah quickly went to Annabel’s side and whispered, "Please stop, sister. Admit your fault." Sarah could clearly see what was happening.

"Of course you are lying!" Annabel ignored Sarah’s pleading. "Tell them, Sarah. I never said any such thing. Tell them she is lying." Annabel faced her sister and laughed inwardly. When two people would say that Jazmine was lying, the more reasonable thing to do would be to believe them. She believed that Sebastian would trust the words of two people over Jazmine alone.

She considered herself to have already won.

"Tell us, Sarah. Whatever you say, we will believe." Even Jazmine gave her consent. It was what she had wanted to do from the very beginning. She had Sarah cornered. "Did your sister not say all those things to me?"

Everyone looked at Sarah. Sarah knew Sebastian had been standing outside all the time and knew everything. That was why she hadn’t said anything bad to Jazmine all that time.

Now if she said her sister said that, she would be betraying her sister. The sisters’ relationship would suffer. If she didn’t say that, though she would save her sister’s reputation, she would get Sebastian to hate her forever.

Sarah’s fists tightened and she looked at Jazmine with cold anger in her eyes. She forced herself to smile.
