Rebirth of the Villainous Female Boss -
Chapter 1291 - Chapter 1291 Chapter 1263 Finally Settled Down
Chapter 1291: Chapter 1263 Finally Settled Down Chapter 1291: Chapter 1263 Finally Settled Down Such a name as Ulfa Yuno, you simply can’t tell it’s a girl’s name, okay? It sounds as silly as Aisha Yuno!
Edward Wheeler didn’t think he’d come up with a bad idea; in fact, he was quite proud of himself, hmm hmm, he had been gearing up for this sacred moment for quite some time.
Mother Yuno finally snapped out of her shock and said calmly,
“Revoking your naming rights, come on, let’s continue the discussion.”
“Why revoke them? I am the biological father!” Edward Wheeler protested.
Mario is such a nice name, he’s called Edward, his daughter could be called Mario, and if they have another, they could name them Second Mario, Third Mario…
If this kind of name gets approved, then it would really be a sight to behold.
“You’ve studied all the way into a dog’s belly, coming up with such an unpleasant name, even a biological father can’t do this, go stand to the side!” Mother Yuno pushed her son aside.
Everyone collectively ignored him, and feeling rejected, Edward Wheeler was very dissatisfied, he moved to Kiara’s bedside to seek his daughter-in-law’s support, but Kiara closed her eyes pretending to sleep.
Still not convinced, Edward mumbled to his sleeping daughter,
“Baby girl, how about the name Mario?”
The baby, who was deeply asleep just a second ago, suddenly scrunched up her face upon hearing her father’s suggestion as if she stumbled upon something unpleasant in her sleep, with an expression that looked like she was about to cry at any moment.
Kiara secretly opened her eyes and saw this scene, thought it was funny, serves you right, even the child dislikes you!
It seemed the little one was not sleeping well, her expression growing more and more troubled, as if she could burst into tears at any moment. Zoe, who had been watching over her, hurried over, imitating how she comforts her brother at home, and gently hummed a few bars of a lullaby. The baby’s expression gradually relaxed, she opened her eyes to look at Zoe, then closed them again to continue sleeping, lips moving slightly.
Zoe was extraordinarily charmed by that one glance.
“The reeds are lush, and the dew turns to frost; the so-called Irene is across the water…” Zoe murmured softly, her voice drowned out by the adult’s ongoing discussion.
Everybody had their own opinion about the Baby’s naming rights, and they were close to coming to blows over it.
One person said they should have the right to name as the head of the family, another insisted they should continue the emotional bond as the biological father, their bickering was giving Kiara a headache. All this commotion just after giving birth, is this really appropriate?
Ultimately, it was Mother Yuno who made the final decision; nobody else was to argue anymore, to be fair, they would draw lots!
Of course, considering the Baby’s future, any unpleasant names drawn, such as Brad Sorn, Mario, and the like, were to be discarded–this part was a rule Mother Yuno made up silently in her mind. Everyone thought it was a good idea, as each person would have a certain chance to claim the naming rights for the Baby, which seemed fair.
Kiara felt it was not right.
If their daughter really ended up with a name like Ulfa Yuno or Shanti Yuno, how was she going to explain these ridiculous names to her child in the future?
But as the saying goes, an individual’s strength pales in comparison to the group’s–she was outnumbered, and according to the family’s rules, the minority had to follow the majority.
Everyone received a piece of paper and earnestly wrote down names they felt were suitable. Kiara wrote down Wilda Yuno, and after finishing, she looked at her daughter who was sleeping soundly and sighed internally.
Baby oh baby, your mother has tried her best. If you end up getting a strange name, don’t blame your mother.
Some people get upset when a girl child isn’t cherished enough; she was troubled because her girl child was too cherished. Everyone was competing to name the Baby, and ridiculous names like Brad Sorn and Mario were even in the mix. Kiara really wanted to thank Edward Wheeler for not suggesting a weird name like Big Mario to carry the burden of selling Pancake when she grew up!
All the pieces of paper were thrown into a small basin, and Edward Wheeler harbored a hopeful smile.
“This biological father will do the draw himself; no objections, right?”
“You go stand to the side!” Mother Yuno pulled him aside in one swift move. Who didn’t know the Youngest was full of trickery, with an endless repertoire of cheating tactics? They’d never won against him in cards!
Such a shameless guy that would even hide cards when playing small-stake Mahjong with middle-aged women; completely untrustworthy!
Mother Yuno’s eyes scanned the room, finding the men of the Old Yates Family more unreliable the more she looked, and finally, her gaze settled on Zoe.
Mother Yuno beamed with joy; children are great, children are pure buds, and buds don’t cheat!
“Zoe, come here to Grandma. Draw one,” she beckoned.
Ah, there’s another trick up their sleeve! Camden felt a pang of regret, his eyes darting around, wanting to lean over and whisper something in Zoe’s ear, but he was kicked away by Mother Yuno.
“You stand as far away as you can from here! Come on, Zoe, you draw!”
Zoe clutched her little fist, her face as stoically expressionless as Second Brother’s.
Everyone’s gaze fell on Zoe as she moved her clenched fist around in the bowl before pulling it out with a piece of paper in her grasp.
Everyone craned their necks to get a look as the paper was unfolded, and they read it aloud together.
“Yuno… Irene?!”
Who wrote this?
Mother Yuno and the others looked at each other; they didn’t recall anyone suggesting that name just now. After scrutinizing for quite a while, they felt that the handwriting resembled Second Brother’s.
Zoe looked down silently while Second Brother glanced at his son, a barely there smile on his lips and a teasing look in his eyes.
“Is this your doing, Second?” asked Mother Yuno.
Second Brother looked at Zoe for two seconds. The son just kept looking down in silence. Then Second Brother slowly said,
“Yes, I wrote it.”
Zoe looked up in surprise at his dad. Second Brother winked at him, and Zoe smiled.
“Irene, Yuno Irene… As the saying goes, ‘Irene by the water’s side, autumn waters, waters brimming with Irene’…”
Mario Yuno repeated the name several times, feeling it rolled off the tongue quite smoothly.
Kiara felt that, although the name Wendy wasn’t chosen as the formal first name, it could be used as the baby’s nickname, and the name Irene Yuno had a certain grandeur to it, especially in comparison to names like Brad Sorn or Derion Ulmer.
Everyone else agreed except for Mr. Yuno, who thought the name Brad Sorn he had come up with was better. Yet, everyone else thought Irene was nice–and catchy too.
Irene, a single person, the only girl in the Yuno family, lovely and precious, simple yet grand. It was good.
“So, the baby’s formal name is set then: Yuno Irene! As for the nickname, let’s discuss it. I think we should call her–” Mother Yuno was cut off before she could finish when Mr. Yuno was struck by another inspiration.
“Little Brad!”
No one heard that!
Everyone internally rolled their eyes, the old man just couldn’t let go of the mountain theme.
“I’ve already decided on the nickname. It will be Wendy. She must be called Wendy.” Kiara gave up on the formal first name that would enter the family records but insisted on securing the nickname for the child.
“Right, my daughter will be called Willa.”
Mario Yuno was only one character off from Kiara.
Seeing how much the couple cherished the name Wendy, everyone else stopped debating. And so, the newly born baby was formally named Yuno Irene and nicknamed Wendy (or Willa).
Once they left the hospital and got into their own car, Second Brother asked Zoe,
“When did you learn to mimic my handwriting?”
“Just picked it up…”
Second Brother laughed, ruffling his hair, “Well done, no one noticed.”
