He wasn’t repulsed by her touch, and around her, he was being himself without worrying about his allergies acting up. But if it were other women, he would have kept his distance, he never ate anything anyone cooked for him if he didn’t make it or Huo Qi and Nanny Wei.

" All right all right..." He strode over to the sitting area while she went out of the mansion in a hurry to get the medicinal herbs.

"Have you found out anything? He settled back at his single royal chair but didn’t pick up his iPad, he was leaning backwards lazily while fiddling around with his fingers.

"Yeah, that maid who had screamed ’murderer’ made more movements than the other maids, the timeframe between her exits and entrances was exactly two hours interval. She goes out with a basket and comes back with a full basket..." Huo Zheng explained that he was the one who had seen the maid earlier while Wei Tang was out there.

"All right, you know what to do next... She better do the talking..." He had already suspected her and knew, she might be the one who even messed up with Nanny Wei’s supplements.

He twisted his neck to his back gazing at the girl who was busy in the kitchen since it was designed as an open space, even though the distance from the kitchen to the sitting area was huge, he could still see her through the glass wall that separated the dining room and the sitting area. The dining room was next to the kitchen countertop.

The house was huge and spacious, even though she cooked in that open kitchen, you wouldn’t smell anything in the sitting area, it was nicely ventilated, and its doors and windows were huge.

"Not really at the moment... What do those pets of yours eat? Human beings?" She curiously muttered, she didn’t know what had happened to the guards who were around earlier on plus the maids.

"Human meat is disgusting, don’t worry, I do make sure that they have enough prepared fresh beef, that’s Huo Qi’s work..." Huo Qi was already used to tending to them and they had formed a friendly bond. At first, they would attack him, but with time and training, it got better.

"Why can’t you let them go?" Su Wei Wei didn’t like these three animals he was calling pets at all, how can these wild animals coexist with humans? What if they broke out of their house while she was left all alone in the mansion?

" I tried, but they came back, I always let them go back to the forest, they could wander for three days to five maximum but still they would come back by themselves, so, why should I throw them away? They also have feelings and sentiments even if they are animals, it’s like having a dog or cat as a pet..." He has been through thick and thin with them, they rescued him, and he rescued them.

She fetched some into a huge bowl covering it and served some to another open bowl, she picked up a tablespoon before carrying it over to the sitting area and placed it on the coffee table just in front of Huo Shen.

"Have that! I don’t want to end up getting engaged to an eunuch! My life would be miserable and you do know that’s the only thing that can make a woman cry and laugh concurrently under the sheets..." With that sarcastic remark, she rushed over back into the kitchen picked up the bowl she had covered with a tablespoon and rushed out of the mansion without delay.
