Chapter 140; What are you laughing?

The police officers who were seated at the bench seats closer to the door abruptly turned their heads over and gazed at the man. One of the police officers lifted his whip and roughly smacked him as it ran from his shoulders over to the lower part of his chest.

"Arrg!" He painfully growled as he tried to massage the area and alleviate the pain but it was impossible with his handcuffed hands. His eyes watered as he menacingly glared at the police officers with hatred.

He was already humiliated by getting arrested and made sure they handcuffed him, and now, they were beating him in front of the entire family. How dare he? If only eyes could eat someone.

The police officers glared at him coldly with those scary eyes showing him how fearless they were at the moment, and they could give him a thorough beating if he dared to misbehave in front of them.

They knew Huo Shen wouldn’t reprimand them, they were on duty and ’he was resisting arrest’, they would never lack excuses, furthermore, who would Huo Shen believe? Huo Shen also hated such kinds of men!

"You should know how to behave like a well-mannered and properly-raised man! Never raise your hand at a woman you ass hole! Your mother failed to raise you!" The police officer didn’t filter his words, he hated these kinds of men the most, more so the entitled ones!

Did he think he had every right to beat a woman and he did that in front of the police officers? Did he think they would sit still and watch him misbehave just because she was his wife?

"You... You! This is against the law! Whatever you are doing is so wrong! I will sue you all for this mental torture! We are the Zhan family..." Zhan Zhu Bai was so frustrated and mad at this uniformed man! He could only threaten him with words.

His entire face was scowled up with anger but it was sweating from all the pain he was feeling.

"You can file your charges! But you should know and prepare yourself, maybe wherever you are headed to is your destined destination... You may never come out! You should think of how to placate those prisoners who would be your friends for the next several years!" The police officers retorted back glaring at him disgustingly. How dare he threaten them?

He should be worried about the unknown place they were headed to! He should be worried that it was Huo Shen’s command for them to be arrested! He could kill them without a care.

"Hahaha... Zhan family?" Chen Shixu roughly laughed sarcastically as tears went down her cheeks. How dare he raise a hand at her? Her parents never even one day beat her but he dared to? Zhan Shan sadly raised her hand that was also handcuffed and gently caressed her mother’s face which was bruised.

Her mother had been the pillar of the entire Zhan family, now they were treating her like some nuisance to be discarded after being used.

"What are you laughing? Don’t you think it’s you and that stupid girl of yours that has landed us into this kind of shit? It’s the fault of you two!" Zhan Zhu Bai coldly snorted gazing at her disgustingly.

"Oooh? So you do think you are so pure and a saint? You haven’t done anything illegal? Let me tell you, Zhan Zhu Bai, I know all the kinds of murders you have committed, I have all the shreds of evidence and it’s a matter of submitting them over to the police officers and you will be locked in for another several decades! Don’t try my patience!" She was no saint but the entire Zhan family was tainted by blood, no one was that innocent.

If they wanted her to go down, then she would drag all and everyone down this hell hole altogether. It was the entire family’s calamity, not just hers.

"Keep your damn mouths shut!" Old Master Zhan was infuriated by these two ignorant fools, they didn’t realize that they were in front of the police officers and they were exposing themselves while yapping here and there!

He didn’t want to go to prison and his son was the head of the Zhan family, he was the better one amongst his sons, if he got imprisoned, then the Zhan family was done, Chen Shixu was also a key person.

"Humph! Mother, you can do anything you want, no one should stop you! You have toiled harder for the Zhan family and Company to the level it is now, if they don’t respect you, you can regain everything back and live your life to the fullest!" Zhan Shan supported her mother, if they dared to hurt her, they all would get themselves inside that damn prison.

Zhan Zhu Bai wanted to comment but this wasn’t the right time and place to talk! And if his wife had pieces of evidence, then he was bound to fall into this huge dark hole destroying his life forever which he couldn’t afford.

They all went quiet as the police officers scrutinized them curiously. With the sudden arrest, they were learning new things now and then... And maybe, they would be able to crack down on the pending cases they have been dealing with due to lack of pieces of evidence.

This Zhan family seemed to have some terrible skeletons in their closets! This was the perfect time to nab down criminals.
