"You seem to be in a good mood! That’s the spirit!" Nanny Wei’s voice sounded from the hallway that led into the kitchen, it was 7:30 already, but it was so early for her to be up now knowing she was sick yesterday.

"But Momma, you should be getting some rest at this moment, it isn’t good to be moving around so early in the morning. It’s cold and you wore so little coming over here..." She loudly sighed assisting her over to the countertop and letting her sit down at the counter stool.

"It’s okay, it’s warm in here since the heater is turned on, you are worrying for no reason..." She softly muttered eying to the front to the kitchen top where she was doing her work and cooking, it was kept spot clean.

Su Wei Wei walked over to the living room and opened a lower drawer getting a soft comfy shawl, she returned and wrapped it around her shoulders to the front.

"Keep this one one...." She walked out of the countertop back into the kitchen, she cooked several dumplings while steaming buns. On the other side, the congee was getting ready and she was frying long dough sticks.

"I should be helping you you know..." Nanny Wei slightly felt terrible seeing a little girl working in the kitchen all by herself, and she seemed to have mastered her cooking skills, she concurrently cooked several dishes at the same time without flitting.

"It’s okay momma, I will be done very soon..." After turning them around and leaving them to burn the other sides, she moved over to the countertop facing Nanny Wei closely.

"Momma, look at my face, is it beautiful or scary? Or do I look like a child?" She curiously inquired while caressing her hand, she knew she was beautiful but it was different from being told and being reassured that whatever was in her mind was the truth.

"Yes, you are very beautiful! You should be a model, it would suit you and you will win for sure..." For sure she was beautiful apart from her purple eyes that stood out too much. People would think she was a monster, but if it were her jade-green eyes, then she was the most beautiful woman on Earth.

Her hair was long, jet black and wavy, it had bangs making her look like a child and a mane filling her head up. Everything about her was proportionate and actually, she didn’t have that many Asian facial characteristics.

"Really?" Her eyes lit up as she went over to the cooking top to check on her food.

"Yeah... No lies, since your mother is Asian then your father might not be Asian, you do have a few Asian features but not that dominant..." With a closer look, how could she not see Su Wei Wei’s facial features?

Su Wei Wei’s hand halted midway in surprise before regaining her calmness and turning around to face Nanny Wei. She widely smiled, " Momma, if I’m of a foreign blood so are you! Look at those features of yours, yours are so visible compared to mime...." She softly muttered jokingly.

"Hahaha...." They laughed all together jokingly before going back to her cooking. The congee was ready, she switched the induction off before serving it into the serving bowl. She served some into a small bowl before placing it down on the countertop in front of Nanny Wei.

"It’s hot, be careful...." She courteously cautioned her as she went on serving her with a few fried dough sticks.

"But you haven’t told me why you are doubting yourself! You are a natural beauty..." It wasn’t normal for a young growing girl like her to question her body. There had to be a must that had triggered her.

"Momma, I just think I look more of a kid and not a mature woman!" She had forgotten the fact that she was just sixteen years old, she should worry about those things when she gets to twenty, but what could have contributed?
