After hanging up Wan Chu’er’s call, Yan Hui sat in the office chair, opened his email to check, and not finding the email she mentioned, he knew that Zheng Yun had just deleted it.

He remembered Li Shan’s words; this lady dared to confront even an old man himself, let alone a Zheng Yun.

Yan Hui thought for a while, then first called HR to handle Zheng Yun’s matter.

Then he dialed the Cybersecurity Department, intending to have them upgrade the company’s network security system, but when he learned of Zheng Yun’s doings, he told them to disregard her.

He was wondering how to compensate Wan Chu’er for her loss when the phone on his desk rang.

It was from the group’s Legal Department.

After the call, Yan Hui’s face turned ashen; Zheng Yun had actually called the police, accusing Wan Chu’er of illegal invasion and theft of private information.

And Zheng Yun had instructed the Legal Department to prepare to sue Wan Chu’er.

Yan Hui first instructed the Legal Department to withdraw the police report immediately, then as the president, sent out a dismissal email to all employees: firing Zheng Yun.

When Zheng Yun saw this email, she couldn’t quite believe that Yan Hui would fire her for a Wan Chu’er.

Thinking of this possibility twisted Zheng Yun’s face, she steadied her emotions, intending to seek a clear explanation from Yan Hui.

But just as she was reaching the door, the door was pushed open from the outside, after which a group of people walked into her office.

Leading them was the HR Director, and behind him were two security guards.

Zheng Yun reflexively tensed up, putting on her usual arrogant demeanor, "Minister Zhang, next time knock and wait for my permission before entering."

HR Minister Zhang paused a moment, his face turning unpleasant, calmly said, "Miss Zheng, you have been fired by Mr. Yan, I’m here to notify you. Please leave the group within five minutes, you know the rules."

The rule to expel someone was actually set by Zheng Yun herself; if one doesn’t leave within five minutes, they’d be forcibly removed.

Zheng Yun said harshly: "Get out! I want to see Mr. Yan."

Minister Zhang didn’t get angry, just still spoke calmly: "Mr. Yan has already left the group, he wants you to leave within five minutes."

Faced with this unpleasant task, Minister Zhang felt bitter inside; who knew if Zheng Yun would come back, the top management knew about Zheng Yun’s deep connections and her involvement with Mr. Yan.

Confronted with Zheng Yun’s nasty attitude, he couldn’t counter, only endure and complete the task assigned by the BOSS.

Seeing that Minister Zhang was unyielding, Zheng Yun thought hard and knew that making a scene would only entertain onlookers; the issue was still with Yan Hui. After glaring at them, she took her purse and left the company.

Wan Chu’er called Yan Hui and felt better after getting his assurance.

Being able to fiercely retaliate against those who bullied her, and moreover, doing it with her own skills, this realization and experience pleased her greatly.

She even took out a facial mask that Xiao Bai had bought for her and applied one.

Lying on the sofa, enjoying her beauty moment, she heard a knock on the door. Thinking it was Xiao Bai, she got up with her mask on and went to open the door for Xiao Bai.

Upon opening the door, Wan Chu’er was stunned.

"Are you sure you’ve got the right door?" she asked.

Standing at the door were two uniformed police officers, one of whom asked coldly, "Are you Wan Chu’er?"

"I am, what do you need from me?" Wan Chu’er replied.

"KY Group has filed a police report, claiming you’ve illegally invaded their internal network and stolen confidential information from the group, this is an arrest warrant."

Damn it!

Wan Chu’er tore off the mask from her face and asked, "Can I make a phone call? There’s a misunderstanding here."

"Any misunderstandings can be discussed at the Police Bureau. For now, please come with us. Until the case is clarified, you are not allowed to contact the outside world," one of the police officers rejected Wan Chu’er’s request with a steely face.

Now the situation had blown up, and Wan Chu’er was a bit panicky.

If she really wasn’t allowed to contact anyone, would she just be silently taken away? If Zheng Yun did something mean again, her fate would be hard to predict.

She instinctively took a step back into the room.

This step, however, provoked the two officers, who directly reached out and grabbed her arms.

Wan Chu’er did not resist, but quickly calmed down, and said, "Officers, I will go with you to the police station; I will cooperate with all your investigations. But can I change my clothes and put on a pair of shoes? As you can see, I’m still in slippers."

Considering her cooperative attitude, the police thought for a moment and agreed to let her change shoes but not clothes.

Wan Chu’er could only close the door and walk downstairs with the two officers.

As they reached the entrance of the building and she was about to be put into the police car, a luxury sedan quickly stopped next to the police car.

Then Yan Hui got out of the car.

Wan Chu’er called out, "Mr. Yan, is this how your KY Group is responsible to me?"

Yan Hui gave her a reassuring look and said to the two officers, "I am the president of KY Group, Yan Hui, this is a misunderstanding. Wan Chu’er did not breach our KY Group in any way."

The two police officers looked at each other, hesitating about what to do, when their cellphones rang.

Two minutes later, the police left, and Wan Chu’er remained.

Yan Hui apologized to Wan Chu’er, "I’m sorry that you were frightened, this will not happen again. Zheng Yun has been fired by me; she’s no longer a person of our KY Group."

Wan Chu’er twitched the corner of her mouth, her mood somewhat down, even the lovely voice of Mr. Yan couldn’t cheer her up.

The recent experience left her with a profound sense of defeat.

"Mr. Yan, thank you for rescuing me from the police in time. I won’t invite you up for tea today; I want to think things over."

Seeing Wan Chu’er so dejected, Yan Hui couldn’t bear it, just as he was about to say something reassuring, his phone rang again.

Checking the caller, it was Li Shan.

It must be something to do with the old master; he said "I’m sorry" to Wan Chu’er and walked to a distance, then pressed the answer button.

Wan Chu’er glanced at Yan Hui and went up the stairs on her own.
