Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny
Chapter 478: Valentine’s Day

Chapter 478: Valentine’s Day

For the first time, Rose will celebrate Valentine’s Day. It felt strange because back then, in her past life, Valentine’s day was like an ordinary day for her. Nothing special. But today, Evan asked her to get ready for a special dinner.

Rose was curious about where they will have dinner. She felt Evan would plan a special surprise for her, like a romantic dinner. Because Evan had rarely asked her to wear such a beautiful dress. And when he does, it would be for a special occasion.

She just stared at her reflection in the mirror for more than ten minutes. She felt awkward looking at her current appearance, wearing a simple knee-length red dress with sleeves up to her elbows. As for her hair, she didn’t do much. She just put it in a bun and pinned a butterfly pin she found in a jewelry cupboard.

"Do I look weird?" Rose was talking to herself after applying coral red lipstick. She felt strange seeing how bold her lips were now. After a minute had passed by staring at her reflection, she couldn’t help but smile faintly, seeing her unfamiliar face.

In a hurry, she wears her high heels even though she doesn’t like wearing them. Just for tonight, she wanted to look beautiful in front of Evan and make sweet memories with him.

"You don’t look weird, dear. My wife is so gorgeous!"

Rose was surprised to hear Evan’s voice from behind. She looked back and was stunned to see Evan standing behind her. He looked handsome in a gray suit with his hair slicked back as he usually does in his formal appearances.

"Is this lipstick too bright? I feel weird looking at myself now! I don’t seem to recognize the woman in the mirror."

"I’m serious, dear. You look stunning." Evan sincerely complimented her. He would always be mesmerized by her, with or without her wearing any makeup.

"Oh, please... Mr. Collins! Stop repeating those sweet words, or I might get diabetes!" Rose stood before him. "Should we go now?"

"Mhm... let’s go!" He said and put the black coat on her shoulders.

Soon they arrive at the entrance.

She saw Paul, standing beside the black SUV — the car Evan used to drive.

Paul greeted them in his respectful voice, "Master, Madam..."

Evan just gave Paul a slight nod, while Rose smiled and spoke to Paul for a few moments before she entered the car. She was surprised to learn Evan would be driving.

"You drive!?"

After they married, she rarely saw Evan drive the car when they were going downtown. Usually, his driver or assistant would drive for him.

Are they having dinner around Misty Mountain? Or at his grandfather’s house? She was curious to know.

"Yes. I want to spend more time with you in the car. I’ve been too busy lately, so I rarely take you for a drive." Evan said casually as the car moved.

Rose smiled as she shook her head.

"Where are we going?"

She was curious, but Evan was too stingy to tell her. He kept quiet and just smiled while driving. She didn’t ask him anymore but enjoyed the view.

That night the streets were bustling. Several times they were stuck in traffic. But Rose didn’t feel bored during their trip because her husband talked a lot and teased her simultaneously.

Before long...

They crossed the blue river that divides the capital. The area was crowded with passing cars, and many pedestrians could be seen along the river even though it was still snowing.

The lights adorn the garden around the river, making the atmosphere look romantic. Rose suddenly felt jealous. If only she could walk with Evan in that place along with the other couples, her Valentine’s night would be even more memorable.

"Don’t tell me... he’s going to take me there?" Rose whispered to herself. She was excited.

Her eyes beaming at the thought, she slowly glanced at him. She wanted to ask, but she paused when she realized they wouldn’t stop there. Their car continued to drive away from the area.

After a while, Rose finally realized where they were going.

Little Heaven!

That place is her favorite place among many beautiful places in this city. She could enjoy the mountains’ greenery and, at the same time, see the sea.

"Hubby, are we going to Little Heaven!?"

"You will see...."

Rose was speechless. This man, why did he still keep it a secret? Gosh! She had already guessed it and was very sure of her guess.

"Are we going to have dinner at Brother Aidan’s restaurant?" She asked again.

"Have you heard God favors patient people!?" Evan said while glancing at Rose. Then with one hand, he pinched her cheek.

"Evan, stop it!! This is dangerous. Focus on driving!!" Rose can’t help but scold him. This man seemed in a good mood — during the trip, he always teased her non-stop.

"Yes, ma’am. Don’t worry, I will ensure our journey is safe until we arrive...." Evan chuckled as he focused on the road again.

Rose could only roll her eyes and stare outside again. But not long after, something crossed her mind — she remembered their vacation plans. She told Evan that she had already invited their friends to the island with them.

"That’s great, wife. Hmm... when do you want to go there?" Evan asked. This time he was serious, no longer teasing her.

"The plan is early March. Is it already warm there?"

"Yes. Much warmer than here. And not too hot either. So, it would be best if we can go there around that time...."

"Okay, so the time should be in March, the first week." Rose suddenly stopped. She saw Evan. "Sorry, I forgot to ask you. How about you? Can you go at that time?" Rose was worried that Evan was busy with his office work.

"Oh, my pretty wifey...I can go anytime, as long as I’m with you. Even if you want to go tomorrow, I will abandon everything!"

Rose, "..."

"Gosh! Here we go again... Don’t use your flattering words on me, Mr. Collins!"

"Hahaha, what do you mean? I’m just telling the truth!" Evan shook his head as he silently smiled.

Rose ignored his words. She asked instead, "I want to ask about accommodations. How many people can I invite?"

She was worried that the accommodation on the island would not be able to accommodate all of them. Moreover, her three idiot friends had promised to bring their partners. This could be a problem if there are no suitable places for them to live with their fake lover, right!?

"No worries. You can invite as many people as you want. There are many bungalows on the island, while we can stay in the main villa."

"Wow! Really? Can I invite brother Noah too?" She asked happily.

Rose feels some distance between herself and Noah Stone — he seems to disappear from her life.

Sometimes, she felt that Noah was deliberately avoiding her. But after she hears from her aunt that Noah is too busy with his work, she begins to doubt her feelings. And try to understand that Noah is preoccupied with his works and rarely returns to this city.

Now she felt excited to invite him to join them.

"Hmm, you can," Evan answered briefly. But then he remembered something, "Is Keira coming?"

"Yes. Why do you ask?"

Evan thought for a moment before answering, "I was also thinking about inviting Sean. But, if Keira and Oliver come, Sean would refuse to join."

Rose nodded slightly, agreeing with Evan.

"You’re right. It seems brother Sean doesn’t like Oliver dating Keira."

"Indeed! He doesn’t like it, but he doesn’t forbid it either."

"Hubby, can you make a lunch appointment with Uncle Jayson? I want to help Oliver to meet him."

"Why does Oliver need to meet Uncle?"

"Well, Oliver wants to meet uncle Jayson to ask for his blessing."

Evan was surprised to hear this and felt sorry for Oliver at the same time. That poor Oliver will never get Keira’s father’s blessing. He knew his uncle would never give his blessing to someone with Oliver’s background.

"Wife, tell him to give up! Just ask him to enjoy a date with Kei, but don’t even consider marrying her anytime soon. Uncle Jayson would never give his blessing to Oliver."

Rose was stunned. Evan also knows about this!? No wonder, all this time, he didn’t really care about Keira and Oliver’s relationship because he knew they wouldn’t go any further. But that was then because now, Oliver has a way of dealing with her uncle.

"Well, hubby... Oliver has a way of making Uncle accept him. Please make an appointment for lunch with him..." Rose smiled mysteriously. She knew her uncle would like Oliver.

"Is he that confident?" He raised his brow, surprised to hear that.

"Yeah! He is..." Rose smiles.

"Okay, I’ll arrange it soon," Evan said, although he doubted it would be a success.
