Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny -
Chapter 460: Rest In peace
Chapter 460: Rest In peace
"I will go back to my office first. Let me know when you guys are ready!" Oliver walked out of Rose’s office.
"What’s wrong with him!? He looks like the happiest person in the world. Did he win the lottery!?" James said while looking at Rose.
"Hmm... Yeah. You’re right. He just won a lottery." Rose laughed mysteriously.
Before long, they all arrive at Collins Hotel.
They decide to have lunch at Platinum Palace Restaurant. It’s one of the city’s most expensive restaurants and belongs to the Collins family — Rose often comes to this place with Evan because she loves the food.
"Boss! You chose the right place." James gave Rose a thumbs-up as they entered the VIP room. "It’s my first time here."
"Didn’t I ever bring you guys here before?" She remembered bringing them all here to celebrate the successful acquisition of Rapid Realty.
"Well, I was in Vale city then, so I couldn’t come."
"Ah, I remember." Rose finally remembered. "Okay, now, you can enjoy the food here as much as you want."
"Yes, boss!!"
"Order the most expensive food. Boss Oliver will pay for it for us. He has a lot of money after acquiring the Hester Group!" Rose casually said. Then she called the floor manager to take care of their order.
"Hahaha, I know! It must be because the Hester Group has settled down, so Oliver is in a good mood now, right!?" Danny said while looking at Oliver, who was busy talking on the phone — he completely ignored them.
"Bro! Can you stop talking on the phone? This is our first meeting after Boss Rose and Sam returned to work..." James slapped Oliver on the back.
Sam, who was sitting at the end of the table, could only smile when he saw a group of young people who were busy joking around — something he had not seen for a long time. He quietly sat in the corner, enjoying his hot tea while hearing what they talked about.
"I have just called Keira!" Oliver put his cell phone on the table and glared at James.
James ignored him. He returned to chatting with Danny opposite him.
"Keira can join us?" Rose asked Oliver. She had forgotten her little cousin.
Since Keira worked at the Wilson Group and dated Oliver, she often joined them when they held gatherings like this.
"Yeah, she just finished her class and is coming here."
"That’s good."
"Rose, why don’t you ask Evan to join us?" Oliver asked. He owes Evan so much. Because of Evan, he succeeded in acquiring the Hester Group. He wanted to thank Evan again.
"He’s busy. I think he has a lunch meeting with his colleagues." She also wished Evan would join them, but it looked like Evan had an important meeting.
While the others were busy chatting, Randy suddenly shouted in surprise. Making the others look at him confused.
"W-What!?" Randy shouted. There was apparent surprise flashed in his eyes when he saw them all.
"What happened, Randy?" James asks.
"Something happened at the office?" Danny frowned at how shocked Randy was now. This man rarely showed his expression because, among them, he was the quietest, second only to Evan.
"No... No... Check the internet. There’s breaking news about Carla Miller..." Randy said.
He still couldn’t believe what he was reading. This woman just took the internet by storm with gossip about her relationship with Evan last year, and now she was trending number one again. Unfortunately, this time, the news was not about her love line or her dark secret, but sad news — she passed away.

Suddenly the room fell silent. Nobody made a sound. But it was clear from the look in their eyes that they were confused by Randy’s words.
Another gossip about Carla Miller? Is it about her relationship with Evan again?
It took them a few seconds to regain their senses. Then, they all took their cell phones, including Rose, to check the latest news on the internet.

Rose, who is worried about the gossip news related to Evan, was shocked when she read Carla Miller had died.
How could that woman suddenly die? Did she kill herself because she couldn’t stand the gossip about her dark past!?
"This is hoax news, right!?" Rose muttered as she tried to find other news. It didn’t take long before she found the same report.
She really died!?
Rose’s heart sank. Somehow she felt sorry for the woman.

Meanwhile, in one of the apartments in the Capital,
Willard Harper stood by the glass window, looking at the street below. His hands were busy playing with a glass of red wine. Occasionally a smile framed his handsome face. He was in a good mood.
That foolish woman, Carla Miller, kept him restless in his hiding place. Several times she tried to contact Evan. At first, he didn’t care why Carla tried contacting Evan. However, two days ago, he knew the crazy woman’s goal — Carla was trying to sell his name to Evan.
How could he keep calm watching that stupid woman reveals he was the orchestra behind all this?
He has no other choice but to silence her forever.
It wasn’t time for him to take the next step in his plan. He will stay low for the time being. Waiting for Evan to let his guard down. Then, he will carry out his mission to retrieve his beloved woman, Rose Willson.
Now that stupid woman has died, and no one knows his secret anymore, he feels relieved.
And, because the source of his headache has disappeared, he can now return to the capital city. After hiding out in foreign places for so long, it’s been a while setting his foot in the town he knows so well.
"Carla, I’m sorry... You forced me to do it. If you didn’t look for Evan and Sean, I would never have killed you to keep my tracks safe...."
He raised his wine glass like he was cheering for Carla and gulped the wine in one go.
"Till we meet again, Carla Miller! May you rot in peace...."
