"I heard that your uncle is going to run for president?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, you hear that right! He will run for the presidential election. And if you ask me, I think... My uncle will win the election. So, Oliver, imagine... if you marry Keira, you will become son-in-law to our president."

Rose couldn’t help laughing when she saw Oliver’s face turn pale, so pale, he looked like a corpse.

"R-Rose, you are joking, right?... To win Keira’s heart is already tough. Now, imagine if her father is president. Damn! What should I do to make my dream to marry Kei happen, Rose? Do I have a chance to get your uncle’s blessing?" Oliver’s voice sounded a little shaky.

Oliver’s eyes widened in shock.

She was touched to see Oliver’s persistence to marry Keira. If only Keira was here now, surely the girl would melt.

"Brother, congratulations!! I’m sure you will soon marry the love of your life!" Rose’s laughing happily. It’s great that she’ll become family with her best friend, Oliver.

"Hahaha... we will soon be a family, sista." Oliver couldn’t help but laugh too. He gave two thumbs up in praise of his genius friend.

"Do you need my help? You know, about my uncle."

"Can you help me arrange a meeting with your uncle?" Ask Oliver sincerely.

"Sure! I can arrange a lunch meeting with my uncle, and you can talk to him during..." Rose started planning to invite her uncle to lunch and let Oliver talk to him. She would also say kind words about Oliver to her uncle.

"You really are a good friend, Rose Spencer!! Did you know that?" Oliver rose from his seat and offered Rose a handshake. He’s in a good mood now. If he had known this long ago, he would have met Jayson Spencer and gotten his blessing.

Rose smiled and accepted his handshake, "Did you only realize that now? Wow!" Said Rose, teasing Oliver.

"Hey, guys. What did you guys agree on!?"

Oliver and Rose were surprised to hear James’ voice from the door. They withdrew their hands, looked at the door, and saw James walking inside, followed by Danny and Randy behind him.

"Do you really want to know?" Rose asked once the three of them joined the seating area.

"Yeah! Tell us, what is the happy news?" James’ eyes lifted up as he scanned Oliver, who didn’t seem to care about them from the moment they entered. Oliver smiled while muttering something. He looked like a drunk who had just walked out of a bar.

"Our CEO just agreed to treat us to a big and luxurious lunch..." Rose smiled while looking at Oliver. Still, this man seemed to have gone mad—he seemed to be smiling while staring at his cell phone. Gosh! It looks like this guy can’t wait to meet his future in-laws. Rose could only shake her head.

Everyone was surprised to hear that.

"Wow!, Oliver, you want to treat us to an expensive lunch? You really are one of a kind boss!" James clapped and praised Oliver.

Since Rose doesn’t come to the office because of her injury, they rarely eat lunch out. They spent their lunchtime in the office cafeteria. And, this opportunity made James happy.

Oliver was surprised to hear James. Taking them to an expensive lunch? What the heck is James talking about? When did he say he was going to treat them to lunch?

Instantly he felt something was not right. He looked at Rose, and he saw her grin. It was then that he realized that this girl must be playing him. He could only chuckle.

"You can choose the place. It doesn’t matter at the most expensive restaurant..." Rose continued.

"O yeah! We’re going to have a lunch party today..." James shouted.

"Boss Oliver is the best in the world! Right, Randy?" Danny tapped Oliver on the shoulder with an overly excited tone.

Randy could only smile, not saying anything. Probably a bit embarrassed by the overly excited Danny and worried it would put Oliver off the treat.

Despite being shocked by the sudden trap set by his crazy boss, Oliver was happy and willing to pay them a big, expensive lunch. He is in a good mood. He got an easy way to win over Jayson Spencer’s blessing.

So whatever his friends wish, he will grant it. He is willing to do it even if they ask to buy their favorite restaurant. After all, he has a lot of money from the Hester Group.

"Guys!! You can pick the place and the menus. I will pay for all of it...." Oliver said, then stood up from his seat. He needed to call his baby girl before he went to feed his gluttony friends. "I will go back to my office first. Let me know when you guys are ready!" He walked out of Rose’s office.
