Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny
Chapter 456: Bitter Truth (2)

Chapter 456: Bitter Truth (2)

"Do you know Carla..." before Sean could finish his words, Carla retorted.

Carla wiped away her tears, trying to calm her mind. Only Evan can help her. Even though Evan doesn’t like her anymore, she believes Evan still has a soft feeling toward her, right? What’s more, until now, he is not married.

She still has a chance — If she could meet and talk to him, perhaps the feelings he had buried in his heart would appear. She is Evan’s first love, after all.

"Sean, please, call him for me. I’ll take care of the rest... I’ll try to win his heart back, Sean. I can feel Evan still loves me... I’m his first love!" Carla grabbed Sean’s hand, but before she could touch his hand, Sean brushed it away.

She froze. Why, why did Sean hate her now?

Sean opened his mouth but failed to utter a sound. He was utterly speechless by this bitch shamelessness.

"Please Sean, help me..."

"I told you, this is your end, for both; your career and your fantasy to get Evan’s love. Because..." Sean paused, wanting to torture this stupid woman who was dying to hear his words.

After Sean was satisfied, he continued, "Evan Collins is a married man. So you don’t even have a chance to win his heart now. You’re just a lowly artist who sells bodies for roles! You don’t deserve to become Ms. Collins...."

Carla felt as if the sky was falling on her. Countless questions now fill her mind; Evan is married? Marry? With who? Since when? Why is there no news appearing on the internet!? Does Willard know about this?

"Do you want to know who he married?" Sean stopped again, trying to make this woman more curious. He continued after seeing her nod, "His wife is Rose Spencer, my cousin."

Rose Spencer?

Carla had heard that name before. Her mind reels back to remember where she heard that name. After a few seconds, she finally remembered — the woman she saw at Aidan’s Restaurant.

Carla’s eyes widened in surprise, looking at Sean.

"Y-You mean the woman we meet...."

"Yeah... that’s right. That woman is Evan Collins’ wife. They married last year."

Carla’s tongue tie.

"So what you said before that Evan tried to hit you in New York was a lie, right!? Carla, you are really a bitch! How can you lightly claim something like that? Compared to my cousin, you are nothing. She is a natural beauty, intelligent and elegant. On top of that, she has Spencer behind her name, and she is a successful businesswoman too..."

Sean couldn’t contain his anger anymore. He told her everything to make her wake up from her delusions.

"And you must know, Evan Collins loves his wife so much. So what are you doing now, make him angry? Consider this your punishment because you provoked the wrong person. I suggest you disappear from this country... You have no future here!"

This shocking news hit Carla Miller hard. All this time, she thought Evan was not married, but she still had a chance to win his heart again. But, now everything was over for her — She had no way to win Evan’s heart back.

Carla’s legs felt weak, unable to support her body. She fell to the floor. Her face looked down at the wooden floor in front of her. She couldn’t see Sean’s face anymore, as she felt so embarrassed and humiliated in front of him.

Sean, grinning, saw Carla Miller slumped on the floor.

"Carla Miller, this is the last we see each other. From now on, pretend we never knew each other!" Sean said then left the room, leaving Carla, who was still sobbing in her place.

He had known Carla Miller for over ten years before she made her way to becoming a movie star. At first, this girl was kind. However, after she became famous, her attitude began to change — she started to choose friends.

In the past, her bad attitude towards Evan — who disguised himself as an ordinary person — made Sean feel uncomfortable being friends with Carla. It’s hard to avoid her. Maybe, because they had been friends for so long that he had no strong reason to break their friendship.

Now, it’s all over.

Sean was relieved to no longer have a relationship with her.

When Sean got in the car, he immediately called someone, "Brother, it’s over. That woman will disappear from your life. Well, from my life too..."

"Thank you, brother!" Evan Collins replied as if uninterested in hearing that. For him, Carla Miller is no longer in his mind and heart for too long.

"Okay, I’ll go back to my base camp now. Send my regards to my sister."

Evan ends up calling.

After adjusting his expression, he got into the car and sat behind the wheel.

"Who?"

Evan looked at his wife beside him. She looks adorable looking at him while her mouth is busy chewing her snacks.

"Sean..."

"Is there any problem?" Rose asked again after swallowing her snacks.

Evan didn’t answer right away. He started the car. After the vehicle moved, he glanced at her before saying, "Nothing else. We exchanged greetings. He sent greetings to you too."

"He’s been too busy lately. I heard from my mom, Auntie was complaining because Sean rarely came home..." Rose shook her head and then started eating the snacks her mother gave her.

"I will ask him to visit us," he said.

"Yeah, you have to! Ugh, hubby, how about vacation with our friends?" Rose felt happy when this thought came to her mind. After all the recent drama between her and her family, she thought she needed an extended vacation.

"Fine, I’ll arrange it. But we better go on vacation in March, it’s still too cold now. Besides, your hand isn’t fully healed yet..."

"I’m sure the doctors will allow me to take a vacation," said Rose. She can’t wait to have her cast removed tomorrow. It’s been two months since her arm was cast and restrained from moving freely.
