Chapter 449: Evident

After a few minutes, Oscar’s finger dancing on the keyboard and his eyes glued to the laptop screen, suddenly a faint smile appeared on the corner of his lips.

"What the fuck!! A green hat hacker wants to mess with me!? What a stupid move, asshole!" His fingers moved faster than before.

A few minutes later, he finally stopped typing and stretched his hands upwards. After feeling his body more relaxed, he stood up from the chair.

Oscar opened the heavy curtains behind his desk. Instantly sunlight came into the room and blinded his eyes.

"Shit! It’s past noon already?" He stood on the large glass pane for a few moments, staring at the street below. Living in this apartment for a few days without getting out makes his mind numb and sluggish.

"Looks like I need to have some fun outside." Oscar continued as a faint smirk appeared on his face.

He returned to his desk, took out his cell phone, and called someone.

"Sam! What are you doing, brother?" The cheering tone and weird greeting surprised Sam on the other end.

What with that cheery tone? Did someone steal Oscar’s phone? Thought Sam curiously.

"What else? I’m working, of course! Okay, cut the crap, Oscar. What did you do wrong now?"

After the past few days, Sam is still surprised to receive Oscar’s phone call. This man refused to meet anyone, including him. And he also didn’t come to headquarters. He just stayed in his apartment.

"Brother, the sky is blue. It’s the perfect time for us to have fun outside, right!?"

Oscar is in a good mood. He wants to go out to catch the hacker who uploaded the picture. He has the hacker’s location and needs Sam to take the lead and capture the man for interrogation.

Sam, sitting in his office at the Silver phoenix base camp, looked out the window. He frowned. Looking at the gloomy, cloudy sky.

Was Oscar short-sighted because he had buried himself in the darkness so long that he could no longer distinguish between two different things!?

Sam is confused.

"Blue sky? Where is that exactly?" Sam was tempted to know if Oscar was still sane or not. Maybe he was too stressed because he knew his enemy was equal to his abilities.

"I’ll explain later. Just pick me up now..." Oscar replied impatiently.

"Shit!! This Oscar has lost his mind. I better not get involved with him today." Sam talks to himself. Then he clears his throat before saying,

"Sorry, bro, I can’t. I’m busy with other tasks." Sam refuses. He would rather stay at base camp and play FIFA games than follow this weird Oscar — punishment awaits them if they get into trouble.

"Are you sure?" Oscar was not pleased to hear Sam’s answer.

"Yeah. I’m positive!"

"Alright then, your loss!" Oscar took a deep breath before continuing, "Even though I would like to invite you to catch the hacker, well... this assignment from the big boss. Fine then, bro, bye..."

"W-A-I-T!" Roar Sam.

"What?" Oscar grinned. This stupid Sam only cares about assignments from Big Boss.

"I’ll be at your place in 20 minutes."

"Make it 15!"

"Deal!"

Beep.

Oscar chuckled, looking at his phone as soon as the connection ended.

"What a weird brother..." Oscar muttered while heading to the bathroom. He needs a good shower to play outside.

While at Starlight Investment.

Evan, call Rose’s cellphone.

Unusually, Rose’s cell phone was not picked up even though she had called five times. This had never happened before since they got married. He feels worried.

"She must be irritated!" Evan clenched his fists and stared at the gloomy sky outside. "Unbelievable. How could the sky also turn gloomy like my heart right now?"

Evan walked out of his office without saying a word. This was something he couldn’t ignore. He had to go back and coax his sullen little wife.

As Evan walked towards the elevator, Gavin came out of the meeting room simultaneously. He asks Gavin to prepare the car.

Gavin followed Evan to the elevator. He understood Evan was having trouble but had he forgotten that they were supposed to have another meeting after lunch?

"Where are we going, boss?" Gavin asked.

"Misty Mountain. I have to coax your lady boss. Ah, Gavin, you don’t have to follow me." Evan loosened his tie as he entered the elevator. He knew his wife would be upset to see the news again. Evan also feels the same — no words can describe how angry he feels now. To whoever did this, he will show no mercy. He will decimate them!

Gavin was pensive for a moment hearing his boss’ words, and when he gained his sense, the elevator door had closed. He was speechless. He cursed himself because he didn’t ask about the meeting after lunch before his boss left.

After a few minutes, a Maybach headed fast toward Misty Mountain. Evan’s mind was only on his wife. He closed his eyes, trying to calm his mind. But then, his cell phone rang, distracting him from trying to calm down.

"Speak, Oscar!" He knew Oscar would get the results of his investigation.

"Boss, I found the hacker. He is just a lowly Green Hat*, and I have cleaned up all the pictures...."

"Capture him at once!" Even though Evan was happy that the hacker was caught. But he was still not satisfied because until now, the hacker who had escaped had not been found.

"Sure, boss. I’m on my way to the location with Sam. We’ll take him to the usual place..." Oscar replied happily.

"Fine, do what you have to do. And, Oscar, you ensure this kind of thing does not appear on the internet again. My wife will be sulky if she reads that news again. Get it!?"

"Aye, boss." Oscar could understand. Lady Boss must be annoyed. "Ugh! Boss, something’s interesting. Do you want to know the person behind the hacker..."

"Who!?"

"The movie star, Carla Miller," Oscar answered carefully. He knew his big boss had a strange story about that woman. Afraid he will be angry hearing that woman’s name.

Instantly Evan’s face turned dark, annoyed hearing that name.
