After they finished lunch, all the men gathered in Nicholas Spencer’s study room, including Evan.

While Rose was asked to rest on the second floor by her mother. She uses this opportunity to tell Keira to accompany her as she needs to find out the progress of Keira’s love life with Oliver.

The two of them were talking in the living room on the second floor. They settle on a couch in the corner with a glass wall surrounding the room. The scenery outside looked stunning — as far as the eye can see, trees covered in snow — made them enjoy the beauty of nature for a while. They were both lost in their own thoughts.

Rose was the first to break the silence. She looked at Keira, who was sitting beside her. She could see how gloomy Keira was now, her eyes less cheerful than usual. As if there is a burden that is still propping up her mind and heart.

"Kei, how’s your relationship with Oliver?" Rose is curious. This girl never brought up this issue again after their last chat in the hospital a few days ago.

Keira was surprised to hear Rose’s question. She turned to look at her. "Sis, I haven’t met him yet..."

Rose could see the sadness in Keira’s eyes. "You didn’t call him yet?"

"Yes! I feel afraid to call him...."

"Silly girl!! How can you solve your problem if you don’t try to contact him? Do you really like Oliver?"

"Sis, of course, I like him...." She blushed, but in one breath, her face turned somber again.

Keira wanted to meet Oliver, but Oliver seemed to be avoiding her. Making Keira feel worried about talking about their problems through text messages. She wanted to meet him and talk in person.

"So what are you waiting for? Call him!" Rose couldn’t help but roll her eyes, feeling like hitting Keira on the head so she could act faster.

"Well, we’re still in touch, but we only exchange text messages. And we never chat about it. We only talk about work and other people. It seems like Oliver avoids talking about our personal matters. I’m also scared to start talking about it, afraid he will grant my wish." Keira’s head dropped. She took a deep breath to feel free from her tight chest.

"Why are you still in the office?" Rose thinks Oliver will spend New Year’s Eve with his grandmother in Nova City.

Oliver suddenly felt something stab his heart looking at how bright the sky was now — it would be lovely if he could spend a day with Keira in this clear weather.

The clear sky can’t describe his heart now because he felt too gloomy inside. He missed Keira but was too scared to ask her out. He’s afraid she will talk about her wish to break up again. He wasn’t ready to hear her request. He better avoid her for the time being until she calmed down and forgot about it.

"Oliv, I will send my address. You can join us for dinner and spend New Year’s Eve."

Rose thought this was the best she could do for this idiot Keira and Oliver. If he had come here, he would have had time to talk to Keira.

"What! Rose, are you kidding me? How can I come to your family dinner?" Oliver was worried. Afraid, Rose’s jealous husband would be displeased if he suddenly appeared at their residence.
